[Audio] Clancy reMixes The Magician’s ‘When The Night Is Over’

The Magician

If we’re completely honest, we found the new single from Belgian mixtaper The Magician a little disappointing. That seemed to be an general reaction to the tune, When The Night Is Over. The track feat Newtimers was a tad generic what-cool-right-now House. Have no fear though, like some kind of musical first responder, Clancy is here to save the day with this reMix that features on the official single package.

Clancy’s reMix has the perfect hypnotic groove. Layering the track with brooding, pulsating synths he delivers a Deep House concoction that reaches into your core and compels you to move. Like a robot uprising, the reMix is electronically ominous but never lets it’s imposing Sci-Fi synths overshadow it’s irresistible boogie. Definitely one DJs should have in their crates, for peak time, when you’ve got them in the palm of your hand, this will keep them there.

[Audio] Final DJs reMix Kovary’s ‘Black And Green’

Kovary

Out this week is the new release from Hungarian producer Kovary. Teaming up with vocalist Tamas Morocz he’s released Black And Green, a big Disco-House tune that comes equipped with a loaded reMix package. In amongst that package you’ll find this gem from Germany’s Final DJs, who give the tack a 80s Buck Rogers Sci-Fi sheen.

Turning their SynthWave machine up to 11, Final DJs really deliver the huge, powerful, futuristic Disco grooves. Rocking along on an insanely funky synth bassline, the track is loaded to bursting point with lush sweeping synths, Disco pops and gritty leads. Balancing tough and funky nicely, Final DJs have delivered another storming tune.

[Download] Arcadis’ ‘Chicago Alley’

Arcadis

We first wrote about German producer Arcadis back in October of last year, featuring his London Lights EP. Right now we’re checking out his new track, Chicago Alley, and can only conclude that the Deep House producer is working his way toward a concept album fashioned around the theme of cities of the world. Either that or the man just enjoys paying homage to tow of House music’s established homes. Either way his new tune is pretty storming.

Chicago Alley will be right up your…er…alley if you have a penchant for booming, pulsating synths, warm vocal samples and old school Chicago beats. They pay between the tunes deep sine-y basses and the haunting, heavily reverbed vocals create a nice, soulfully robotic, groove jumping over a heavy, heavy beat. Perfect warehouse fodder, drop this when the crowd are right in the middle of the dancefloor trance. Another quality tune from Arcadis.

[Download] Goldroom’s ‘Embrace’ reMixed by Freak You

goldroom

It’s fair to say that in the last week or so our inbox has been pretty inundated with reMixes of Goldroom’s excellent Embrace. We kinda’ expected it when Goldroom sent the stems free into the wild, we really haven’t got the time or the inclination to bring you all of them though. However, you really need to wrap your ears around this blissed out mix from On The Fruit Records own Freak You, it’ll make your Monday morning orders of magnitude better.

Freak You has delivered another of his classic dance music pieces. Free of genre or era, he whips up a timeless floorfiller with ingredients from House, Disco and Trance with a pinch of R&B. With an early 90s, golden age, feel to it, this reMix powers along, dividing it’s load between a grumbling bassline and an optimistic piano line. The deep club nature of the tune tends to lend Ariela Jacobs’ vocals a new, almost urban, flavour. Unlike a whole heap of the reMixes of Embrace that have landed on out virtual desk, Freak You’s reMix really does transform it into a brand new song.

[Video] Ali Love’s ‘Another’

Ali Love Another Crosstown Rebels YouTube

We featured Ali Love’s new single, Another, a couple of weeks ago. It’s a deep, Chicago-y House tune with a little ElectroPop going on too. Check out the brand new video for the track.

It’s all very Cyberpunk, featuring cobbled together technology and virtual reality fighting. It’s nicely shot and the laser smoky swirl is a nice effect for the VR world.

Ali Love’s Another is released today.

[Audio] Strange Talk’s ‘Eskimo Boy’ reMixed by Polar Sun

Strange Talk

Australian Indie-ElectroPoppers Strange Talk’s Eskimo Boy is pretty old now (by the super fast Internet based music industry standards of the 2010’s, which is an awful thing, but that’s a rant for a Friday), having been released in 2011. It; been given a fresh coat of synths and a new lease of life by Belgian duo Polar Sun who reMixed the tune to fit into their DJ sets, the result is a synthetic Disco wonder.

Polar Sun’s reMix has a nice raw analog feel to it. The lead synths are sharp and crisp, the basses are warm an rumbling and the drums are suitably Spartan. the guys weave a rich and undulating seven minutes of screaming arpeggios and nostalgic chords, keeping the energy levels up but delivering a friendly, chilled, Nu-Disco groove. The prefect accompaniment for the original’s Indie anthem vocals. We imagine this went down in their sets particularly well.

Strange Talk’s Eskimo Boy is taken from their self-titled début EP, out now.

This Refix injects a little classic, epic, Adi into the tune. A dancefloor destroying companion to the originals Pop stylings. This tune is loaded with massive, sweeping synths, huge breakdowns and growling bass that all plays perfectly with Adi cinematic orchestration. [Audio] Beateria’s ‘Country Business’

Beateria

Is New Beat coming back? I feel like I’m typing the words ‘New Beat’ a lot these days. Not that I mind, I grew up on the stuff, I had just always thought it was a forgotten genre. But suddenly there is a rash of New Beaty, EBMy, Acidy tunes and events going on. So it feels like there’s a New Beat resurgence happening, maybe because so many Belgian producers are breaking through these days and still feel that influence?

The latest tune to ride the trend comes from Aeroplane, maybe an unlikely source but he is Belgian, who got together in the studio with British producer Bot resulting in the track Country Business under the moniker of Beateria. It’s certainly an 808 fuelled, dirty Acid House, New Beat juggernaut, that’s deep and mysterious an anything else on those strobe lit dancefloors.

Beateria’s Country Business is released 14th October on AeroPop.

[Audio] Reset! reMixes Ladytron’s ‘Ritual’

Ladytron

ElectroPop legends (yup, I’m pretty sure we can call them that now) Ladytron are working toward a very special Black Friday Record Store Day release this year. November’s celebration of physical media (the second this year) will see the band release a reMix version of their latest album, Gravity The Seducer. Between now and then the band are dropping a couple of reMixes to buy. This version of Ritual from Italian outfit Reset! follows Gosteffects’ Ambulances reMix.

Gravity The Seducer wasn’t Ladytron’s finest moment, and Ritual not one of the album’s standout track either, but Reset! do admirably, turning the Proggy epic into a fairly groovy Disco-House track. The track works best when it deviates from the original significantly, throwing everything from big-room leads to ChipTune chaos into the mix. The end result is an almost French Electro power tune with occasional bouts of swirling guitar breakdowns. We’re definitely looking forward to finding out who else was called up to produce a track for the album, we’ve heard some rumors we’ve got our fingers crossed for.

♫ Ladytron – Ritual (Reset! reMix)

Ladytron’s Gravity The Seducer reMixed is due out in 29th November, Black Friday Record Store Day.
