T.B.S. – The Bloody Sisters

T.B.S. (A.K.A. The Bloody Sisters) are a Parisian duo who are bringing the fuck back to us after all this dark synth stuff! 😉

‘Rock Your Body (T.B.S. AutoreMix)’ features American singer Enois Scroggins and Frenchman Rpiz on the talkbox and is some severely groove laden French Touch to chill you out with a rolling bass you can’t resist! The Frenchmen have also reMixed Walter Sobcek’s awesome ‘Je Me Souviens’ layering the dreamy SynthPop with their own Disco style.

The prefect comedown to a stressful day!

The ‘Rock Your Body’ single is released 29th October in Sismic Music.

Vandroid

This track’s been knocking around for a few days now but I couldn’t help but share it with you.

You’ve probably heard the Vandroid buzz by now. Lost 80’s grindhouse movie? Missing soundtrack? Check some of the press release:

“In a windowless warehouse building on the dreary outskirts of town, an unknown purveyor of grind-house cinema was beginning principal photography on what would be it’s last film ever. That summer, in that same warehouse, a young audio engineer named Fujiyama was contracted to record a visionary album as a companion piece to the film using a preproduction test unit of the latest synthesising equipment from Sansui in Osaka.

But sadly, the film and the soundtrack created for it, would not be completed according to plan.

A few weeks later, a freak fire raged out of control, destroying the studio. The barrister found the owners innocent. Insurance checks were cut. And the masters for the film and soundtrack were presumed gone forever.

In the Summer of 2009, Police were called by county court to open a rental-storage locker in the San Fernando Valley, CA with payments long overdue registered to a man by the name of Fujiyama Matsumoto, deceased, as confirmed by LA County Coroner’s Office, 2007.

Presumed lost forever, the visionary unfinished concept album was found in a sealed box in the back of the storage locker and now this epic soundtrack from this unreleased film is about to be released over 25 years after it’s creation.”

What is know is that there will probably be an album put together by some of the best new disco names around. Van She Tech and Fred Falke are definatly on the cards. Speaking of which, it’s been a while since Van She got their reMixing groove on so here’s the first of the Vandriod tracks, ‘Master & Slave’, and it’s Van She Tech mix. It’s a pretty great start to whatever Vandroid is.

Echoes

OK, we gave you a taster of Echoes last week with their ‘Ice Cold’ video, now we reckon the time has come to drop some of their music on you lot.

I’ve got no problem saying straight away that I’m pretty exited about this London based ElectroPop duo, the guys inform me that this is an exclusive, electronic rumors are the first (I expect, of many) blog to pick up on them, I hope they’ll remember us when they are famous!

The two friends got together to make music in November of 2009 and have spend the last 10 months in secret working on their craft the fruits of which are now starting to see the light. Shrouding themselves in mystery (for the time being), Echoes say they want the music to speak for itself and man, does it!

They’ve only released one original track so far, ‘Ice Cold’, and it’ll have you hooked. It’s quite a contradictory tune, awash with the melancholy of the traditional SynthPop of Depeche Mode and Ultravox et al, yet with the upbeat production of the best contemporary Electro. I want to say it’s a like a darker Dreamwave but I’m loathe to use the word Dark here, or sombre, or even gloomy because the track is too uplifting and, indeed, powerful. I suppose you could compare them to HURTS, not so much musically but in the sense that they make the pensive seem fun and danceable! Whatever they’ve done it’s they’ve nailed it. The track is, from a production point of view, some of the best ElectroPop that has crossed our path in a while.

Check out ‘Ice Cold’:

Echoes – Ice Cold

Right, on to the reMixes. I was gonna’ choose one, or two mixes to post here but I really couldn’t choose between them. I’d very loosely call all three Nu-Disco, but each displaying different styles and influences. And all three are of some of electronic rumors favourite artists too! Our Bristol gal Florrie’s ‘You Wanna’ Start Something’ gets a full on Piano driven Pop workout while they drop one of the best reMixes of The Good Natured, managing to turn it into an 8 minute hypnotic dancefloor epic without ruining the actual song (which some of the other reMixes kinda’ did). Finally Canadian keytar goddess LIGHTS’ ‘Second Go’ gets a proper Nu-Disco (in a Russ Chimes piano breakdown stylee) makeover with completely addictive results, reMix wise this is where Echoes truly shine.

Enjoy:

Florrie – You Wanna’ Start Something (Echoes reMix)

The Good Natured – Your Body Is a Machine (Echoes reMix)

LIGHTS – Second Go (Echoes reMix)

We wait with baited breath for more from Echoes, until then I suggest you give them some of your hard earned MySpace love.

StardonE

After a bit of a drought, SoundCloud has been turning up some real gems in the last week. One of them is StardonE, being one of many massages in our SoundCloud inbox vying for attention it takes a lot to stand out. StardonE’s music does!

The analog synth jockey creates a mood that is not to dissimilar to Lifelike but with (even) more of an 80’s retro synth feel. It’s almost like pure distilled instrumental Dreamwave. Sparkling arpeggios intertwine with sweeping leads and a touch of Disco bass. This is music to dance to, to love to and to enigmatically brood to as the rain fizzes off the neon lights.

StardonE – CT

StardonE – Love Fighter

StardonE – Space Romance

We literally cannot wait for more from StardonE, I suggest you all go and give him some MySpace lovin’!

We’ve enthused about Gypsy And The Cat a few times here on electronic rumors, they’ve just got this cool blissed out Indie-Electro groove going on and some excellent songwriting.

The now solo Vito Aeroplane has dropped an awesome mix of ‘The Piper’s Song’, adding a little of his trademark Electro Disco and a mindblowing 90’s Pop hook. If you don’t like this you must be dead inside!

Gemini Club Vs. Hey Champ! FIGHT!!!

It’s a meeting of minds in the heart of Chicago. Gemini Club and Hey Champ! should, by now, be well known to readers of electronic rumors and I think, generally, they’ve done the world a favour and unleashed a mighty soundclash on us!

Gemini Club’s recent single ‘Ghost’ gets the Hey Champ! treatment and winds up a chilled Nu-Disco jam that just slides out of the speakers, even when the vocals are being cut-up.

Gemini Club – Ghost (Hey Champ! reMix)

Gemini Club’s take on Hey Champ!’s oft-reMixed ‘Cold Dust Girl’ is an 8 minute electronic epic that never once gets boring. A head on collision between Nu-Disco and Indie-Electro, the track takes a turn for the heart attack inducing at the 4:40 mark.

Alfa drops new tracks

Binary floorfiller Alfa has dropped three new audio bombs this week, so get ready for some serious synthesizer fallout.

First up is a original track, ‘Sky Patrol’. A pumping Nu-Disco jam with the dancefloor energy turned up to 11. Vocoded vocals are sent through a mangel and spat out the other side over frantic arpeggios…I defy you not to move to this!

Alfa – Sky Patrol

The man has also let loose a couple of new official reMixes he’s put together. His reMix for ODahl’s ‘Dance Mama’ show his more chilled Dreamwave (more Binary!) side and the FM slap bass on his mix of ‘Givin’ It Up’ by Vim Cortez is something you’ve got to hear for yourself!

♫ ODahl – Dance Mama (Alfa reMix)

♫ Vim Cortez – Givin’ It Up (Alfa reMix)

While other Binary artists have been getting some fantastic coverage lately it’s defiantly time for Alfa to step into the limelight!

Yelle’s new single on Kitsuné

Parisian ElectroPop princess Yelle returns this October with a new single on Kitsuné Music.

Co-written, again, by GrandMarnier & tEPr and produced by Siriusmo, the track ‘La Musique’ is a nice slice of analog French Pop with a hypnotic bassline and leads which cut through the song. Lorenz Rhode’s reMix amps up the deep Disco into serious French-Touch territory with a killer ‘70’s Moog bassline.
