Well, it’s finally out in the wild, the last seven months of my life have come to fruition as we are amazingly proud to present ‘electronic rumors volume 1’.
I won’t go on about it, it’s possible that i would have a hard time reviewing it objectively, so take a listen to Ride The Universe’s awesome minimix of the compilation featuring all 15 tracks.
It’s almost weird that it’s real now and if you like physical media I would really recommend the CD, it comes in a stunning DigiPak designed by Sebastian Bentler.

electronic rumors Volume One

For the past four years music blog electronic rumors (electronicrumors.com) has been serving up the latest and greatest news and tracks in the world of Electro/Disco/Indie/Dreamwave/Synth/Stuff/Thing/Pop and now they have teamed up with respected Us ElectroPop label Ninthwave Records (Heaven17/White Town/The Modern) to release electronic rumors Volume 1, featuring of some of the best artists making Dreamwave, Nu-Disco, ElectroPop and Indie-Electro in the last twelve months including exclusive tracks from Ride The Universe (Dreamwave supergroup acclaimed, for their reMixes, with their début original), the much hyped Show Your Shoe, Futurecop!, beaumont, Substatic and Echoes and the first time on CD for Queen Of Hearts and Ronika, both tipped by the mainstream press for chart dominance in 2012. They feature alongside some of the most exciting electronic music that broke out in 2011.
One of the UKs most exciting up-and-coming producers Clancy drops his new EP today, his first for ‘the ever-awesome Holographic People’.
The ‘Panther EP’ sees Clancy at his Dreamwave finest with three original tracks and a couple of reMixes. The title track is five minutes of synthesizer bliss. Almost Futurecop!-esque in it’s ElectroPoppiness, ‘Panther’ is retro synth perfection, from the digital bass to the uplifting 80’s chords, this is how it should be done. Noting about ‘Panther’ doesn’t make you feel good. ‘4000 Shards’ is more designed to make you move. Ironically it growls a bit more than ‘Panther’. Definitely a nightdrive of a tune, ‘4000 shards’ is the cop film to ‘Panthers’ teen movie. The trilogy is made up by ‘Bite The Lightning’, a pure retro dancefloor workout that is nothing short of genius, and easily cements Clancy’s place amongst the top producers making Nu-Disco/Dreamwave today.
♫ Clancy – Panther
♫ Clancy – 4000 Shards
reMixes are supplied by beaumont and StardonE. beaumont treats us to a nice clash between the ChipTune Disco sounds we are used to from him and a laidback piano led vibe that has us looking forward to his début EP for Holographic more than ever. Korea’s awesome StardonE add a little of his Cosmic Disco to the mix with a reMix epic reMix that plays the EP out on a high.

Clancy’s ‘Panther EP’ is out now and comes highly recommended!
The ElectroSleaze of AXXE plus StardonE’s Cosmic Disco. How good a combination is that?
Actually, StardonE brings things a back to earth a little with this reMix which is more rooted in late 80’s SynthPop than his usual spacey Disco Funk, even going so far as to include a little Italo in the mix. the end result being a track that could have rocked Hi-NRG dancefloors a couple of decades ago but will also rock Disco dancefloors today.
♫ AXXE – Hard Candy (StardonE reMix)
There’s more AXXE reMixes on the way, some special stuff coming.
Have you finished revelling in the awesomeness? Right, I’ll continue…
Hailing from Seoul, Korea, Cassette Schwarzenegger are labelmates with he hotly tipped StardonE and produce some of the smoothest DiscoPop we’ve heard in a while. Their new single, ‘Play’, is a pure party tune and accompanied by a wicked fun animated video by Studio Shelter.

We can present the single for you right here, along with a reMix be StardonE that really deserves your attention!
After the whole StardonE are ace business of earlier this week I was disappointed to find that their reMix of The Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘1979’ had reached it’s download limit on SoundCloud, so I got straight onto StardonE to remedy the situation and to be able to share it with you guys.
The track itself reminds me so much of being younger so the fact that someone has done a nice Dreamwavey reMix of it pleases me no end. Taking the hypnotic nature of the original and adding some killer drums, arpeggios, and a sweet little riff is, frankly, pure genius.
After a bit of a drought, SoundCloud has been turning up some real gems in the last week. One of them is StardonE, being one of many massages in our SoundCloud inbox vying for attention it takes a lot to stand out. StardonE’s music does!
The analog synth jockey creates a mood that is not to dissimilar to Lifelike but with (even) more of an 80’s retro synth feel. It’s almost like pure distilled instrumental Dreamwave. Sparkling arpeggios intertwine with sweeping leads and a touch of Disco bass. This is music to dance to, to love to and to enigmatically brood to as the rain fizzes off the neon lights.
