[Audio] Tensnake reMixes Duke Dumont’s ‘I Got U’

duke-dumont

In exchange for the remix of Tensnake’s Love Sublime by London based Disco breakout star Duke Dumont, the German Housemeister has in turn’s performed reMix duties on Dumont’s forthcoming new single I Got U. The track features Jax Jones on vocals and has been making some serious waves since it premièred in December. Tensnake gives it a serious House workout.

We can imagine this one being big over the summer, over festival season. It’s got that big, hypnotic, crowd pleasing House sound. Bass heavy and relentless whilst still keeping the original’s groove. A robotic funk jam, riding on a monster synth bass and a Chicago beat. Just the kind of tune to loose yourself to in a field somewhere.

Duke Dumont’s I Got U is released 16th March.

[Download] Dots Per Inch’s ‘This Girl’

dots per inch

Hold tight for something Deep and Funky right now from new British producer Dots Per Inch. He’s gearing up for the release of his début EP, Don’t Stop on Tiefblau, next month, but until then has given away an array of storming House beats to keep you going. Check out his latest tune, This Girl, and Get Up from last month below.

This Girl mixes up a bit of Chicago, a bit of Garage and a bit of UK Deep House into one synth heavy floorfiller. A nice balance between retro and contemporary This Girl delivers big time on driving Garage-y beats, killer basslines and a pitched Usher vocal line that flows perfectly with the warehouse groove. Get Up is more of the same strobe light madness, this time a bit darker and deeper, reminiscent somewhat of early Warp Records Bleep House, with Dubby bass and Sci-Fi keys creating an intoxicating soundtrack. Two pure dancefloor jams that bode interesting things for Dots Per Inch’s EP.

[Audio] Joe Goddard reMixes Neneh Cherry & Robyn’s ‘Out Of The Black’

neneh-cherry-robyn

So, Neneh Cherry and Robyn, two artists we are extremely fond of, made a record together; and it’s was OK. Not nearly as epic as we would have liked, or would have expected, but still pretty solid. But fear now, here comes Hot Chip and The 2 Bears’ Joe Goddard to whip the song into an enthralling electronic masterpiece. Hooray!

Goddard’s take on Out Of The Black is a slow building synthetic House beats with clicky Garage-y beats and a hypnotic groove. Starting off keeping the original’s ominous tone, the tune soon elevates into a fairly uplifting floorfiller, complete with layers of snyth zaps and pops. The duo’s vocals take on a softer feel amongst the rising pads while loosing none of their edge. Involving stuff.

[Audio] Russ Chimes reMixes Arches’ ‘There’s A Place’

Arches

Dance supergroup Arches (Seba Vandevoorde A.K.A. Moonlight Matters and Jochen from Sound Of Stereo), who you may remember from their interpretation of Whitney Huston’s Not Right But It’s Okay, It’s Okay are about to unleash their proper début single, There’s A Place. the single come backed with a reMix from none other than Russ Chimes. So I expect we’ll all like it quite a lot indeed. That’s the Chimes guarantee.

A pumping House track with deep overtones, Chimes whips up a dancefloor frenzy with this one. Sparing no funky expense, the reMix builds on a an infectious bass hook, ploughing through the track like a groovy steamroller dragging complex purcussion and and mantra vocal in it’s wake. The interplay between the keys and the bass creating new melodies along the way. Another killer effort from Russ.

[Audio] Future Feelings & Dan Solo’s ‘I Feel Nothing’ (+ In Flagranti reMix)

Future Feelings

The latest release from France’s On The Fruit Records comes in the form of Mexican producer Future Feelings, who is no stranger to this website, teaming up with fellow Mexican Dan Solo for some deep electronic grooves. The new single, I Feel Nothing, also comes packed with reMixes from Bufi and In Flagranti. Check it out.

I Feel Nothing is a bass heavy House track with more than a couple of nods to early Bronx Electro. With it’s old school drum sounds, it mixes up a laid back Disco groove with a strobe light warehouse vibe. Boasting twisted Acid synths and an ominous voice of doom, this one’ll get the floor moving. In Flagranti’s take on the track hit slightly more bouncy notes while keeping the ominous mood. Eventuating the 303 burbling with shiny stabs it’s a journey into dark funk.

[Audio] The Alexanders & Anna Lunoe’s ‘Don’t Miss’

Anna Lunoe

Partyfine is just full of collaborations, isn’t it? most of them involving label boss Yuksek. So it’s no surprise that the imprint’s latest release, the forthcoming Don’t Miss, sees the man himself teaming-up with the one and only Alex Metric and Aussie producer-of-the-moment Anna Lunoe. Yuksek and Metric bill themselves as The Alexanders and the track broken ground on Annie Mac’ show this past weekend.

Don’t Miss is a cheeky House juggernaut. Driven by a mind-bendingly infectious Italo flavour bassline, the track is a full-on Electro-House stomper the like of which you don’t see so much these days, making us feel nostalgic for the Electro-House boom days of 2007/2008. Spikey synths and abrasive burbles rub shoulders with comfortable retro stabs and Anna’s mantra vocals to deliver one of those peak time anthems.

[Audio] Grum’s ‘Tears’

Grum

We’ve finally got a release date for the release Grum, one of our favourite producers, second album Human Touch. The album was pushed back after the overwhelmingly positive response to his single The Theme, pushed back seconds after we posted our review of the record. The album is due out in April and will be preceded by this new single, Tears, which got it’s première on Annie Mac’s show at the weekend.

Tears is pure Grum, big, euphoric, post-Dreamwave House with a lush 90s Dance groove. Chirpy synths form the tunes main hook, flowing over an Orbital-esque classic Dance rhythm section. The twisting leads and thick pads create an hedonistic mood with just a hint of the Balearic. The perfect precursor to the album, we can’t wait for both to drop.

♫ Grum – Tears (Radio Rip)

Grum’s Tears is released 7th April, Human Touch is out 17th April.
