[Audio] Dots Per Inch’s ‘Take It Slow’

Dots Per Inch

One of the rising stars of the UK House scene, and in out humble opinion one who deserves a lot more attention, is Dots Per Inch. We’ve featured a number of his tunes on the site, each one some consistently solid work from this enigmatic producer. His latest offering is Take It Slow, which one again sees him teaming up with singer Bia to deliver some infections and funky sounds. Check it out.

Take It Slow adds a little soulful sheen to DPI’s big House sound. With a rich, vintage feel (including a little record crackle) the London based beat wrangler serves up another of his fine blend of UK Deep House and classic early 90s House vibes. Combining an intoxicating, warm mood, that’s ripe for getting lost in on the dancefloor, with energetic and nostalgic passages, Dots Per Inch has served up another sure fire floorfiller.

Dots Per Inch

UK House rising star Dots Per Inch has served up another new tune. This one is his forthcoming new single for the London based Xylo label. Too Far sees Dots Per Inch teaming up with vocalist Bia in a track that crosses club and radio play boundaries. It’s Dots Per Inch’s most song oriented tune so far; turn up the bass.

Bai’s soulful yet slightly vulnerable voice glides perfectly over Dots Per Inch’s sweet combination od House, Bass and a little Garage skip. Aimed at summer dancefloors, this tune even brings a little Topical vibe to the booming bass as DPI peppers the track with an Island melody guaranteed to go down a treat at festivals this year. Too Far neatly packages Garage Rhythms, Deep House bass and a compelling groove with a sing-a-long chorus in a huge crowd pleaser.

Dots Per Inch

Up-and-coming British producer Dots Per Inch has been on our radar for a while now. Flexing between free downloads and releases on labels like Tiefblau he’s already build up a fair back catalogue. His latest tune falls into the gratis category later this month, but you can wrap your ears around it right now. This is Sayin’ Something.

Once again Dots Per Inch delivers a classic House track. Grabbing tiny snatches of Lucy Pearl’s Don’t Mess With My Man he reconstructs them into a completely new tune. Pairing warm Chicago bass with a big piano hook and a Garage beat, this track hits you with a high energy club monsters and four minutes of dancefloor gold.

Hold tight for something Deep and Funky right now from new British producer Dots Per Inch. He’s gearing up for the release of his début EP, Don’t Stop on Tiefblau, next month, but until then has given away an array of storming House beats to keep you going. Check out his latest tune, This Girl, and Get Up from last month below.

This Girl mixes up a bit of Chicago, a bit of Garage and a bit of UK Deep House into one synth heavy floorfiller. A nice balance between retro and contemporary This Girl delivers big time on driving Garage-y beats, killer basslines and a pitched Usher vocal line that flows perfectly with the warehouse groove. Get Up is more of the same strobe light madness, this time a bit darker and deeper, reminiscent somewhat of early Warp Records Bleep House, with Dubby bass and Sci-Fi keys creating an intoxicating soundtrack. Two pure dancefloor jams that bode interesting things for Dots Per Inch’s EP.
