Dragonette Vs. Buffetlibre DJs

Dragonette

Marc & Miguel, The Buffetlibre DJs,  have graced the electronic rumors Inbox with this, their reMix of Dragonette’s ‘Easy’ off of their latest album ‘Fixin’ To Thrill’.

The original is a pretty dark ElectroPop ballad, Buffetlibre bring the darkness back to the dancefloor and mix up the tune into an upbeat, hands in the air, anthem.

Music Go Music & Fred Falke

MusicGoMusic

Oh man, this is one smooth Nu-Disco jam! The always quality Fred Falke has brought the funk to LA avant-garde popsters Music Go Music.

Clocking in at just over eight minutes it’s an epic, funky, electronic journey (and mildly shorter than the original!) that dips and peaks in all the right places.

Metric reMix

Metric

Canadian Indie rockers Metric have been given a brilliant Electro-House going over by 80kidz, Japan’s finest electro export.

It’s a strong track with a burbling lead synth that works really well with the vocals, being piano led really sets it apart from the crowd.

‘Help, I’m Alive’ was a single for Metric last year. Check out the reMix by The Twelves.

Lifelike reMixes Plastiscines

The Plastiscines

French all-girl pop rock outfit Plastiscines have had their most recent single reMixed by a whole bunch of cool names including producer of some of the best reMixes of the last couple of years Lifelike.

With heavily filtered vocals and a chilled Nu-Disco vibe this is the perfect track for the tail end of the summer.

Baby Monster – Ultra Violence And Beethoven reMixes

BabyMonster

Baby Monster’s ‘Ultra Violence And Beethoven’ was crazy out-there ElectroPop genius and tore up the internet last month. With news that the single will drop November 9th on 50 Bones, we’re giving you the chance to listen to a couple of the reMixes involved.

Ireland’s Arveene & Misk strip the track back and pile on buzzsaw synths and heavy beats while IDM legends Mondkopf twist the track into something heavy and dark.

Jinder; not so Little anymore?

LittleJinder

All’s been quite in the Little Jinder front for a while, during which time she apparently dropped the ‘Little’, now being just Jinder. Still signed to Trouble & Bass, Sweden’s Jinder is currently gearing up for the release of her next single ‘Youth Blood’ (a track that previously appeared on Trouble & Bass’ instalment of the Scion A/V sampler compilations), an ElectopPop gem, which will include reMixes by some of Sweden’s top electronic artists.

This reMix, however, comes from London’s Bok Bok which heavily vocodes the vocals and rings some heavily disjointed disco:

‘Youth Blood’ December 1st followed by a remix EP, you can hear the original version on Jinder’s MySpace.

Designer Drugs Drop Down

DesignerDrugs02

A couple of days ago Designer Drugs released their second single for Iheartcomix Records, a double A-Side featuring the tracks ‘Riot’ and  ‘Drop Down’.

‘Drop Down’ is a frantic party banger, ominous chords and wailing synths build the tension ‘til the track slides into it’s noisy electro groove.

Guaranteed to slay on the dancefloor!

Stephen Falken just Crusin’

StephenFalken

More from the Valerie crew!

One year on from the Valerie and FreeDanger double A-side release by The Outrunners and College it’s time to do it again.

Stephen Falken (named after the creator of Falken’s Maze from the 1983 Broderick-a-thon ‘WarGames’) had teamed up with fellow Valerie staples Maethelvin to bring us another double A-Side 7’”. Falken’s contribution is ‘Crusing’, a laidback retro nightdrive groove with a particularly sweet riff.

Stephen Falken/Maethelvin’s ‘Crusing’/’The Last Escape’ can be ordered from the Valerie store and is released today!

NightWaves’ Fascination

NightWaves

Coming from the LA based stable, BinaryNightWaves (A.K.A. Kyle Petersen and Josh Legg) owe just as much to pure SynthPop as they do to heavy 80’s influenced Electro-House.

Heavily emotive vocals with an early Depeche Mode style isn’t always the first thing you expect from a band associated with the current crop of Disco-House (or what they are calling Dreamwave) acts, you normally expect something lighter, floatier, but it works so well and lends NightWaves an extra slice of power in their music.

The upcoming single ‘Fascination’ is original taken from the fantastic Binary compilation ‘LA Lights’ and has been given the reMix treatment by a number of artists in the last few months. amongst them Sweden’s ODahl turn the Disco-House up to 11 while We Plants Are Happy Plants make the track more of an deep epic highlighting the feeling in the vocals. Fellow Binary crew Keenhouse’s mix is probably my favourite version (other than the original!) with pure electro beats and an almost poppy synth riff.
