[Download] Computer Magic’s ‘All I Ever Wanted’

Computer Magic

All I Ever Wanted is the new tune from the amazing Computer Magic. It may only be a demo, but quite frankly we eagerly lap up anything Brooklyn based synth wizard Danielle Johnson releases. Her last proper release was A Million Years, from earlier this year which still stands out as one of the year’s highlights. Hopefully this new tune is an indication that Danz is back in the studio working on a new album maybe?

Musically, All I Ever Wanted is the epitome of Computer Magic. Raw drum machine beats and vintage synths, complex arrangements sounding deceptively simple. A robotic onslaught made to conform to human beauty, constructed of 80s flavours in a contemporary Indie-Electro mixture. Danz give this latest tune a bit of a Rock ‘N’ Roll edge with an almost early 80s post-punk slant to the vocals, setting it apart from other Computer Magic tunes, but making it infectious listening.

[Download] G.L.O.V.E.S. reMixes Passerine’s ‘Paris Morning’

Passerine

G.L.O.V.E.S.. Now there’s a dude who doesn’t release nearly enough tunes for sate out appetite for his music. The Australian Nu-Disco staple’s productions never fail to impress and, particularly on a Friday, get us in the mood for the weekend. His latest work is a reMix of Melbourne Tip-Hop outfit Passerine’s Paris Morning.

Mixing up a little bouncy House and a little poolside Disco into one synth funk fuelled whole, G.L.O.V.E.S. transforms the deep, atmospheric original into a dancefloor mover. This reMix is like a Chicago House track with added Disco swing. The 909 beats, organ riff and punchy digital bassline are all straight out of the classic House playbook, but the smokey vocals and carefree daytime swing give the track a definite mirrorball vibe. A nice combination of genres coming together to birth a good-times floorfiller.

[Download] Chordashian & Freedom Fry’s ‘Skyscraper Souls’

Chordashian

Brooklyn based groovers Chordashian have been slowly and steadily releasing a bunch of awesome tunes this year. They’ve chosen to give their latest slice of gold away for free, although we wouldn’t be surprised to see it released as a single with a bunch of reMixes later in the year. It features fellow LA ElectroPoppers Freedom Fry and it’s called Skyscraper Souls.

Skyscraper Souls is as anthemic and uplifting an ElectroPop tune as you’ll find all year. Pure feel-good electronics with Freedom Fry’s Marie treating the track to an optimistic, and a bit sing-a-long, vocal performance. Bouncy, slightly Tropical, keys run throughout the track, keeping time with a rumbling, punchy bassline. A track that would work equally amazingly on the dancefloor or in the headphones, Skyscraper Souls is insanely good for a freebie.

[Audio] Clancy reMixes The Magician’s ‘When The Night Is Over’

The Magician

If we’re completely honest, we found the new single from Belgian mixtaper The Magician a little disappointing. That seemed to be an general reaction to the tune, When The Night Is Over. The track feat Newtimers was a tad generic what-cool-right-now House. Have no fear though, like some kind of musical first responder, Clancy is here to save the day with this reMix that features on the official single package.

Clancy’s reMix has the perfect hypnotic groove. Layering the track with brooding, pulsating synths he delivers a Deep House concoction that reaches into your core and compels you to move. Like a robot uprising, the reMix is electronically ominous but never lets it’s imposing Sci-Fi synths overshadow it’s irresistible boogie. Definitely one DJs should have in their crates, for peak time, when you’ve got them in the palm of your hand, this will keep them there.

[Audio] Bright Light Bright Light’s ‘In Your Care’

Bright Light Bright Light

Phase two Bright Light Bright Light material is coming thick and fast now. Only recently we were treated to An Open Heart, taken from the SynthPop rising star’s first post-début album EP, In Your Care. Now we can have a listen to the EP’s title track, due out next month. This might be our favourite track from the EP so far.

Co-produced by The Invisible Men, In Your Care is both a classy and classic slice of ElectroPop goodness. Resonant with an emotional heart, In Your Care layers an anthemic, passionate vocal performance over a solid dancefloor core. There’s been a piano version of this tune knocking around for a while now, but paired up with warping synths and a relentless kick, In Your Care released a whole new energy. Let Bright Light Bright Light’s latest slab of power Pop wash over you.

[Audio] Final DJs reMix Kovary’s ‘Black And Green’

Kovary

Out this week is the new release from Hungarian producer Kovary. Teaming up with vocalist Tamas Morocz he’s released Black And Green, a big Disco-House tune that comes equipped with a loaded reMix package. In amongst that package you’ll find this gem from Germany’s Final DJs, who give the tack a 80s Buck Rogers Sci-Fi sheen.

Turning their SynthWave machine up to 11, Final DJs really deliver the huge, powerful, futuristic Disco grooves. Rocking along on an insanely funky synth bassline, the track is loaded to bursting point with lush sweeping synths, Disco pops and gritty leads. Balancing tough and funky nicely, Final DJs have delivered another storming tune.

[Download] Goldroom & Chela’s ‘Adalita’

Goldroom

You’ve probably already picked up Dreamwave mac-daddy Goldroom’s latest release, the Embrace EP, haven’t you? .If not then why? Why would you make such a terrible life choice? Anyway, if you’ve picked up Embrace you’ll already be familiar with Adalita. If you haven’t *shudder* then Goldroom has been generous enough to give away this new EP track for free when signing up to his mailing list. So right now you have three tasks ahead of you. Sign up for the Goldroom mailing list. Download Adalita. Purchase the Embrace EP. If you’ve not yet completed these goals, you have a hole in your life that will remain empty until you do.

Adalita was co-written, and features, Aussie songstress of the moment, and recent Kitsuné signee Chela. The tune is both chilled and playful. Smooth beats and nostalgic, buzzing synth stabs conjure up a lazy, poolside, vibe which is complimented by Chella’s whimsical vocals, in place to keep things upbeat. Other than Embrace, Adalita with the other new tune on the final release of the EP, and it’s still as exciting to us now as it was last month when it was released. Also, as an outlet that writes about Goldroom a fair bit, we can say with some authority that it’s impossible to find a photo of Josh where he’s not looking dead cheeky, like he’s just been caught doing something he shouldn’t be.

[Download] Auxiliary Tha Masterfader reMixes Germans’ ‘Cruel’

Germans

Germans are a Brooklyn based out fit specialising in un-searchable names and some pretty special music. A excellent, dreamy, brand of soulful Disco tunes. Their latest of which, Cruel, has been given a dancefloor workout by Mr. Auxiliary Tha Masterfader.

Aux takes a laidback slice of Disco bliss and give it an Italo topcoat. Not actually changing much as far as the mood of the track goes, just making everything slightly more synthetic. Pulsating synths and bubbling basses sit side by side with wicked little Disco licks and bright nostalgic keys. It;s when Aux gets really robotic with Cruel that this reMix shines, creating a mood reminiscent of 80s European dancefloors. Another bold slice of analog Disco from Aux.

[Download] Arcadis’ ‘Chicago Alley’

Arcadis

We first wrote about German producer Arcadis back in October of last year, featuring his London Lights EP. Right now we’re checking out his new track, Chicago Alley, and can only conclude that the Deep House producer is working his way toward a concept album fashioned around the theme of cities of the world. Either that or the man just enjoys paying homage to tow of House music’s established homes. Either way his new tune is pretty storming.

Chicago Alley will be right up your…er…alley if you have a penchant for booming, pulsating synths, warm vocal samples and old school Chicago beats. They pay between the tunes deep sine-y basses and the haunting, heavily reverbed vocals create a nice, soulfully robotic, groove jumping over a heavy, heavy beat. Perfect warehouse fodder, drop this when the crowd are right in the middle of the dancefloor trance. Another quality tune from Arcadis.
