Waek reMix Fancy

fancy

French Touch producer Waek has turned in an awesome, synth sliding, reMix of Fellow french Rock act Fancy’s ‘All Night Long’.

If you recognise Fancy’s singer Jessie Chaton’s voice, but can quite place it, imagine it singing “The way you move is a mystery” then Google “Fancy – D.A.N.C.E. (Do The F.A.N.C.Y.)”. Waek version of ‘All Night Long’ underpins that voice, which is burned into every Electro fans brain, with a nice combination smooth retro synths and twisted Electro Funk bass, There’s some amazing playing in this mix.

The Good Natured reMixed by Adrian Lux

goodnatured2

Almost as a companion peice to Adrian Lux’s ‘Alive’ featuring The Good Natured, here he is reMixing The Good Natured’s new single ‘Video Voyeur’.

It’s got all the elements we loved about ‘Alive’, Sarah’s unique vocals seeming to add a new dimension to Lux’s Electro-House sounds, which would normally come across full of cheese. Here he get’s even more full-on Ibiza, and whilst not quite ad good as their previous collaboration, Lux’s rEMix of ‘Video Voyeur’ is still a big, confusing but wonderful, peak time tune.

Miike Snow return

Miike Snow

Is this the first time you’ve had internet access in the last 12 hours? In that case let me break the news to you,  Miike Snow are back with a brand new track.

‘Devil’s Work’ is the first new tune from the Swedish trio to lead into their new album release in March. Full of pomp and grandeur, ‘Devil’s Work’ layers horns and a big string section over the repetitive piano riff and electronic noodling. whilst it hasn’t got the bounce of catchiness of ‘Animal’ or ‘Silvia’, it is a pretty majestic comeback.

Miike Snow’s new album is due for release in March 2012.

The C90s reMix Trujillo (& The Penelopes)

Trujillo

The C90s are knocking quality reMixes out at an alarming rate these days, They’re like a well oiled reMix machine!

Venezuela Chilled House dude Trujillo gets the The C90s sheen this time around as they morph his track ‘Distance’ into a smooth synthetic Disco. Taking the slightly shogazey, slightly Chillwavey sound of the original The C90’s slap just the right amount of vintage synth groove underneath to give the track a kick, but not to kill it’s charm. Their raw Disco is also applied  to Indie-Popsters The Penelopes’ ‘Now Now Now’, with a truck load of Moog Funk.

CSS, tEPr & The Asteroids Galaxy Tour

css

French Disco wizard, and one third of Yelle, tEPr’s reMix of CSS current single ‘City Grrrl’ is a thing of pure awesomeness.

I have a massive soft spot for CSS, back in 2007 they were killing it, but the do have a habit of getting a bit Rocky for me, so this mix which combines tEPr’s Nu-Disco genius with Lovefoxxx’s sassy delivery and catchy song seems pretty perfect. tEPr provides such a cool beach party vibe for the track, with big, filtered, Dreamwave style synths and a big of French Touch bass. The track would have made a sweet instrumental, but the addition of a vocal that sounds like it was always supposed to be on a Disco tune pushes is into magepartyjam territory.

♫  CSS (Cansei De Ser Sexy) – City Grrrl (tEPr Rmx)

CSS have also just reMixes The Asteroids Galaxy Tour’s  ‘Heart Attack’, from their forthcoming ‘Out Of Frequency’ album to celebrate the announcing of their headlining US tour. It’s a cute Blip-House ElectroPop mashup.

Young Empires reMixed by digitalfoxglove

Young Empires

Now this is what we’re talking about! Germanys unsung Dreamwave workhorse digitalfoxglove gives Young Empires’ ‘enter Through The Sun’ some of his sweet sweet Disco lovin’.

The results are like a beach party in your ears, and everyone’s invited! Cutting through the song with a bouncy bassline and some seriously soaring lead lines. Whether as digitalfoxglove, Nightdive or as a quater of Ride the Universe, DFG’s productions ate like a stamp of quality, he’s just got a certain clean, crisp and funky sound that is instantly recognisable and generally head and shoulders above his peers. It’s time the spotlight was tuned on digitalfoxglove for good.

Adrian Lux & The Good Natured’s ‘Alive’ video

Here’s the video for Adrian Lux and The Good Natured’s strangely epic ‘Alive’.

Still can’t get over how the mere addition of Sarah’s vocals make the cheesy Ibiza riffs sound good. This track is going to be huge. The video starts off pretty standard retro lighting clip and ends up Sci-Fi weird-out.

The ‘Alive’ single is out now with a reMix package featuring Albin Myers, Blende and Adrian Lux & Style Of Eye to follow.

Verona

Verona are an Indie-ElectroPop outfit from Melbourne, Australia. Of course they are. I’m sure some kind of monopolies commission should look into Melbourne’s grip on Indie-ElectroPop, there got to be some anti-trust law that applies!

Joking aside, Verona’s heartfelt take on ElectroPop puts them right up their with their contemporaries. Passionate vocals, kicking beats, driving synths and the slight prescience of Indie guitar all sit together perfectly on ‘Hero’, all the ingredients you need for top a quality Antipodean hit. I wouldn’t be surprised if you hears a lot more from Verona, mostly rocking your local indie dancefloor next summer.
