Sohight’s new EP

Sohight

We’ve featured Russian producers Sohight a few times before and always loved his tunes, so it;s good to bee Kiez Beats picking them up and dropping this massive single, ‘High School’

For this record they’ve teamed up with single Cheevy to produce one of the largest retro ElectroPop tracks we’ve heard in awhile. This thing is epic. The biggest sounding drums, the fattest synth sounds and passionate vocals belted out all make up the kind of huge nostalgic Dreamwave ElectroPop that we haven’t heard a lot of in the last few months. This’ll more than make up for that! Amongst the reMix package is Final DJs take on the track, which sees them bring that brand of Funky SynthWave to the tune. Their retro synths really capture the mood of the tune and they let loose midway with some killer soloing. Jesse Oliver steps up to reMix too, with an awesome mix that sounds a little like something Fear Of Tigers would come up with.

G.L.O.V.E.S. reMixes Mr. Jigga

Mr. Jigga

Is it just me or has it been ages since we last heard from G.L.O.V.E.S.? It seems like, but fear not as he;’s back with this reMix of Mr. Jigga’s ‘Won’t U B Mine?’.

This track was featured on Plastic Plates’ February mix and we’ve been eager to hear the whole thing since them. It’s was immediately standout with it’s coursing, infectious bass riff and smooth vocals. Tropical with a dirty twist, G.L.O.V.E.S. has managed to create a track that has all the slick, sexy, beach party groove you want but with a gritty rawness to it.

Marina And The Diamonds’ new single

Marina And The Diamonds’ next single from her forthcoming ‘Electra heart’ album is ‘Primadonna’.

this time she’s rocking a big Electro sound, as far as attempts at a big Marina dance track it’s a million times better than the Stargate produced mis-step ‘Radioactive’, I still can’t shake the feeling that Marina is being forced in with bland dance producers by her record label. Which is a shame, given room to do her own thing, as with her first record, the results are amazing.

‘Primadonna’ is out soon.

Housse De Racket & Hey Champ!

HousseDeRacket

It’s all happening for Housse De Racket right now. They’re about to embark on a big North American tour and their single ‘Chateau’ is about to drop on Kitsuné .

‘Chateau’  is one of the highlight of their ‘Alésia’ album and the reMix package looks like it’s going to be storming. This reMix from Chicago gang Hey Champ! is the sweetest of sweet big Disco sounds. Big ‘70’s Disco stabs and wicked guitar licks make up the groove quota for this tune while the whole thing is made massive with thick, lush strings. The original vocal is treated to a fair amount of chopping, which Hey Champ! use perfectly to keep the energy up.

Housse De Racket – Chateau (Hey Champ! reMix)

The ‘Château’ single will be “out soon” on Kitsuné Music.

Pyramid’s new EP

Pyramid

Frances finest purveyor of Sci-Fi soundscapes, Pyramid, has release yet another EP, the man is a SynthWave machine!

‘Life Above The Stars’ is a four track masterpiece in bright, piercing synths and bassy machine beats. From the EP’s opener, Trouble, a rich, rousing electronic epic you are welcomed into Pyramid’s futuristic dystopia where his shifting arpeggios and layered Vangelis synth work soundtracks your every move. The thing we love about Pyramid is the way he mixes so much into his style. Bit’s of B-Boy Electro, bits of synthesizer Disco, bits of the electronic instrumental works of Jarre, Vangelis and Tangerine Dream, to create his own score of the future.

Pyramid – Into The Light

Pyramid – Troubles

DMX Krew’s new EP

dmx_01

Coming soon on Voltaire Records is the latest EP from one of our favourite artists, the almighty DMX Krew.

‘East Side Boogie’ sees a welcome return of the Electro Funk, Moog Disco and Vodocder DMX Krew, with EDMX. The title track is all B-Boy Beats, New York Disco chords and tons of poppin’ electro toms. It;s the perfect Breaker’s anthem, a call to uprock with a Disco flavour. The EP contains six track of cosmic, electronic, real Electro. Vintage drum machine beats hammer out robotic rhythms while fat analog synths craft atmospheres think with groove. This is 1981’s future, when the streets of The Bronx moves to an army of funky robots. I like the fact that EDMX does what the hell he likes, and you can never tell whether w DMX Krew release will be ElectroPop, B-Boy Electro, Moog Disco or something more experimental. But this kind of melodic, deep, Electro is where my DMX Krew preference lies. Can’t wait for the ‘East Side Boogie’ EP to be released.

More new music from Mitch Murder

Mitch Murder

After a period of quiet, once SynthWave maestro Mitch Murder released his awesome ‘Current events’ album, brand new tracks from the Sweedish producer are becoming a weekly occurrence!

That’s no bad thing though, his latest ‘Glass Cities’ is just the latest in amazing, atmospheric tracks. Quiet and reserved, with synths like raindrops, the intro to ‘Glass Cities’ creates the mood for the whole track. Spacious and mysterious, which a slightly oriental felling and when the beat and bassline kick in, you know something is going down in the metropolis. I don’t really need to reiterate that Mitch Murder is pretty much the king of retro synthesizer soundtrack-esque tunes, but now you know what to expect, but the cinematic bassline and the hints of Jarre’s ‘Zoolook’ are particular highlights of this one.
