Yuksek & Gucci Vump

Gucci Vump (better known as Brodinski and Guillaume from The Shoes) have dropped their Dub version of Yuksek’s ‘On A Train’ to keep you going while you await the release of his, frankly amazing, second album.

Taken from the ‘On A Train’ Ep, which is out now, Gucci Vump take the ElectroPop of the original and morphs it into a dark dancefloor monster that seriously deserves to be played at peak time to mesmerize and hypnotise the punters. Deep grooves here!

Yuksek – On A Train (Gucci Vump Dub reMix)

Yuksek’s second album, ‘Living On The Edge Of Time’ is released 4th July.

Douze reMixes Blende

Released later this month is the now one from Stockholm duo Blende on La Bombe.

The ‘Words’ single features, amongst others, this reMix from the French king of the groove Douze. Strap yourself in for some serious Cosmic boogie here. This is a euphoric sweeping synth epic that will move your feet and expand your mind. Or something.

Fabian reMixes Short Circuit’s ‘How We Speak’

LexiconDon Quarter and Binary solo artist Fabian has given fellow Binarian Short Circuit’s ‘How We Speak’ a late night going over.

His reMix is a crazy mash-up of everything that works on the dancefloor. There’s some Breaks, some Electro-House riffs, some nice 90’s House keys and some smooth Nu-Disco & Dreamwaveyness in the background. Taking Short Circuit’s vocoded vocals and turning them into a hypnotic mantra Fabian has crafter a mix designed to do one thing and one thing only, get you dancing, and once the false finish kicks back in it’ll have you going crazy.

Short Circuit – How We Speak (Fabian reMix)

‘How We Speak’ is taken from Short Circuit’s ‘Late Night Drive’ EP, out now on Binary Entertainment.

Mr. Mæn reMixes Publicist

Mr. Mæn, who has wowed us with many of his recent reMixes, has turned his attention to Publicist’s ‘Come To My Senses’ from his recent Discotexas EP ‘Professional Show Business Pt.1′.

Mr. Mæn builds a kind of machine Funk thoroughout the track with relentless industrial sounding ethnic percussion playing nicely against the groove of the bassline and the vocoded vocals. Mæn has created a deep hypnotic peice here for you to sink into.

‘Professional Show Business Pt.1′ is out now on Discotexas.

Lazydisco’s ‘More Tigers’

Lazydisco is Fred Oliveira from Rockets, and he’s about to drop a brand new single on Discotexas.

‘More Tigers’ is an incredibly summery slice of quite laidback Disco which kinda’ works on three layers. There’s a layer of nice 80’s chords for that nostalgic feelgood factor, them some cosmic synth work which create a chilled vibe toped of with some 90’s House piano which nicely keeps the energy going. That’s a recipe for success! reMixes come courtesy of a whole host of awesome artists such as In Flagranti, The C90s, Xinobi, Mirror People, MODE and this track from Coupons who go deep and progressive on the tune with a hypnotic and slightly oriental flavour.

Lazydisco – More Tigers (Coupons reMix)

‘More tigers’ is out next week.

Teenage Bad Girl’s ‘Backwash’

Paris duo Teenage Bad Girl’s combination of ElectroPop and abrasive Electro has always has a Rocky edge to it, but their new album boarders on straight-up ElectroRock at times.

There’s heavy use of Rock samples throughout, but that only adds to the melodic chaos that is ‘Backwash’. Powerful distorted analog synths run all the way through the album but aside from that it’s a record that flips from one style to another, regularly, and with relative ease. There’s the big ElectroRock we’ve already heard in the album’s first single ‘Keep Up With You’ and the vocoder and guitar mash-up of ‘The Wave’ which rubs up against some beautiful synthetic Electro tracks like ‘Hold Me Tight’ and ‘Fast Blood Delivery’, a pure 90’s rave tune in ‘Fright Night’ and the Chicago House of ‘Tonton Funk’. If you’re into upfront electronic dance music then there will be something for you to love in this album.

Personally I favour the more synthesizer based tracks on ‘Backwash’, check out my two favourites and revisit the single, ‘Keep Up With You’. The whole album can be streamed here.

♫ Teenage Bad Girl – Hold Me Tight

Overthrill returns with new track

Finally! Overthrill is back in the game!

Oh how we’ve missed his massive cut-up chainsaw disco. His new track ‘Perfect Match’ he goes straight for the Electro jugular with more broken Disco than even the most steadfast Ed Banger fan could handle. It’s four minutes of killer bass and Disco samples fed through a blender and the funkiest thing I’ve heard this week so far!

4TrakZ – Love Zone

We haven’t heard from 4TrakZ in a while, but if this track is anything to go by he’s been using his time productively.

‘Love Zone (Ultra)’ sees the Lyon based producer getting some heavy Funk bass amongst his ChipTune inspired Electro. It’s a soaring slice of Electro with video game sensibilities that demands your attention.
