Treasure Fingers’ new track

Treasure Fingers

Treasure Fingers, being the generous fella he is, has given away a brand new free track and a thank you for all his fans support.

‘Take My Hand’ will totally Disco up your week. A pure Disco-House floorfiller, smooth and soulful but with enough kick to get the party moving. It’s quite a trick to get things sounding this banger, but this slick too, but that just shows why Treasure Fingers has made the name for himself that he has.

Billie Ray Martin’s ‘Twisted Lover’

billie-ray-martin

Billie Ray Martin’s ‘Twisted Lover’ originally appeared on the ‘BRM New Demo’s 2003’ album in it’s ‘Old Version’ form. Now the lovely Ms. Martin has seen fit to give away this brand new version of the track.

What was once a Deep-House flavoured SynthPop track has now upped the tempo and upped the analog Disco. Racing Moroder-esque arpeggios drive the track along and seem to morph Billie’s vocals from the soulful lament of the original to a huge diva performance. Add to that some infectious synth melodies and you have a huge ol’ track!

Billie Ray Martin and Robert Solheim’s The Opiates project’s album ‘Hollywood Under The Knife’  is out now.

Mirror People’s new single

mirror people

There’s a truck load of Moog Funk hearing right for your face and your feet on Mirror People’s new single for Discotexas.

Featuring the powerful vocals of Rowetta, ‘Feel The Need’ sees the Portuguese producer channelling early ‘80’s TV Disco. The bassline if funky, but fun, and Rowetta’s big Diva vocals are Disco enough, but slightly playful too. There’s an awesome reMix package including work from Moullinex and Severino, but the stand-outs must be Munk’s huge Disco mix and Social Disco Club’s relentless Moog Funk/Early ‘90’s Nrg mash up.

Viceroy’s new EP

viceroy

Why Viceroy, with these free releases you’re spoiling us…

Another quality EP from the San Francisco Disco guru, four tracks and a bonus Rihanna reMix, that may or may not have disappeared) show a logical progression to Viceroy’s sound and skills. The lead track is a fidgety Disco track. Normally I’m not overly keen on the ‘scrolling through presents’ strand if Nu-Disco, but here the chopped-up groove is handled masterfully by Viceroy, who makes the whole track work perfectly, rather then end up the mess that so many others who try the sound end up with. Elsewhere the EP gets funkier with the likes of ‘Mirage’, which is pure beach party vibes.

Seya

seya

Next up on La Bombe is some Disco-House goodness from Seya.

That goodness takes the form of a two track single featuring the tracks ‘Float’ and ‘Backlight’. ‘Float’ the lead track is pumping full-on Nu-Disco workout which sees Disco samples battling it out with Funky synth riffs in a filter heavy arena. The flip side is more of a soulful Nu-Disco tune that sees Seya in funky dancefloor mode.

Dimitri From Paris & DJ Rocca’s new EP

Dimitri From Paris

Dimitri From Paris & DJ Rocca have come together once more, riding the success of their ‘A Reason for Living’ EP, for a brand new six track release.

‘Erodiscotique’ continues in the same vein of floor filling Electro-Boogie with a nice live instrumentation feel. Interestingly, the EP features a cover of Pet Shop Boys ‘Domino Dancing’ which builds upon the song with a sweet ‘90’s house piano. Both Rocca and Dimitri deliver their interpretations of the track, with Rocca mix just taking the prize for being slightly more retro-funky. the EP’s lead track, ‘Ero Disco Theme’, nicely mixes synthesizer Funk with beach Disco for a smooth and sexy party starter. The other original, ‘Back To House’ does exactly what is says on the tin, this is pure Chicago House, pure late ‘80’s, and a really good approximation of it too, it;s got that deep groove and 909 beats, the House piano and a soulful melody on top. And of course, a sample of some deep voiced dude going on about “House Music”, now that’s authenticity!

♫ Dimitri From Paris & DJ Rocca – Back To House

Once again Dimitri and Rocca have turned in a quality, and recommended, disco filling release. It’s released 21st November via Gomma.

Moullinex & Xinobi’s new EP

Moullinex & Xinobi are in the studio again, and you know when that happens the eclectic, madcap, Disco starts to flow.

The four track ‘X Marks The Spot’ single is out now on Discotexas and, if you know Moulinex & Xinobi, the title track is everything you’d expect. When these guys hit the studio together, anything can happen. We first heard this track back in April when they dropped it as a completely live demo, it’s now been refined but is no less live, it’s freakshow Disco, infectiously groovy and full of surprises. Drop Out Orchestra attempt to tame the insanity a little on their reMix, the result sounding like the bastard child of Moroder and Art Of Noise. Just to hammer home the crazyness of this release Moullinex & Xinobi have included their cover of The Cramps’ ‘Human Fly’. Rockabilly Disco anyone?
