[Download] Adeyhawke’s ‘Disco Idalium’

Irish SynthWaver Adeyhawke is knocking them out these days! We’re still rocking to his recently released Kodachrome Sundae EP and his Happiness Cage side project; and he’s released another new track. This is Disco Idalium, and it’s a big one! Not only that, but it’s a free download. Get involved!

Disco Idalium is more of Adeyhawke’s bombastic, chopped up, retro Electro. The way Adeyhawke bring vintage 80s sounds straight to the big room is nothing short of genius. The tough beats and growling Electro is tempered with a slick, Top Of the Pops flavour, to create something that’s both fun and a dancefloor compulsion. But it’s Adeyhawke’s complex and funky-as-hell basslines that get us every time.

[Download] Fear Of Tigers’ ‘I Am Dog’

This week Fear Of Tigers launches his new website with some lovely new music for us. Who knows what occurring with Mr. Tigers long awaited sophomore album? But the man isn’t leaving us in the lurch while we wait with this steady drip of massive tunes. The curiously titled (although, Mr. Tigers have always been one for esoterically names tracks) I Am Dog is his latest.

Right from the opening bard of I Am Dog, with is shimmering, retro synths and hammerfall drums, you know your in for a frantic, big room, ride; and post drum fill, when the track kicks in, all your expectations are met. Ringing leads, shifting beats and an amped up 80s bassline power the tune along at high-octane speeds. the soulful vocal snatches and dreamy sax serve to temper the nervous energy of the track, smoothing everything out into an intricate dancefloor monster.

[Audio] NTEIBINT’s ‘Never Without You’

Having pride of place on Eskimo Recordings‘ latest compilation album, The Blue Collection, is Greek SynthWaver come Disco demon NTEIBINT. This track, Never Without You, not only features on the collection, but is also the lead track of his forthcoming EP. It genre spanning four minutes of hazy good times.

Featuring vocals from Stella, Never Without You is a hard beat to pin down. A slo-mo Indie-Dance groove, not quite Disco but getting there, underpins the tune; which is part ElectroPop, part Pop House with a solid authentic Nu-Disco flavour. The prefect track to chill in the sun to, the thick bass and warm synths play perfectly with Stalla’s smokey vocal. Just relax.

[Audio] Jesse Oliver’s ‘Piece By Piece’

Out today on the consistently awesome Discotexas is the new single from one of our favourite producers, Jesse Oliver. Already getting play from the likes of Dimitri From Paris, Zimmer, Moullinex, Munk, C90s, Xinobi and ATTAR!, Piece By Piece is set to blow up over the summer. This one;’s got everything to keep the dancefloor moving.

Tasking in a bit of House, a bit of Acid and a bit of Disco, Oliver turn in this Deep masterpiece with Techy bass that never looses the groove. Rising synth burblings and gradually emphasising stabs lead the way in this hypnotic six minutes. Designed purely to keep a crowd rocking the track works some special magic with hit’s huge breakdown. Simple but effective.

[Audio] Miles Prower’s ‘Virtually Reality’

Here’s the latest tune from Bristol SynthWavers Miles Prower. Once again enlisting the help of Coralie Kate for vocal duties they present Virtually Reality. The title track of their forthcoming new EP, due out in summer, the track bodes well for a release packed with nostalgic flair.

This one’s got a classic sound, with just a hint of that Euphoric Trance vibe that Mile Prower tend to inject their tracks with. Leading in with some slick Italo bass sounds and the kind of dreamy keys that the French arm of the SynthWave massive are so well known for, the track soon introduces Coralie’s sweet vocals and waves of lush synths. As the tune progresses the synths build leaving the 80s for a full-on 90s hands-in-the-air moment.

[Audio] Happiness Cage’s ‘UHF Blaze’

Happiness Cage is the new side-project from Irish SynthWaver Adeyhawke, who you may remember for hitting the highest point in out Top 20 tracks of 2014 for an instrumental, within the top ten. As this Happiness Cage alter-ego he’s about to release a new EP in the next couple of month, but is already previewing tracks on SoundCloud. Check out UHF Blaze below.

UHF Blaze is a beautiful cacophony, a chaotic collision of Italo, 80s Dance, Electro-House, ChipTune, even Complextro (remember that?) that all comes together to form a compelling whole. Racing beats, spiky synth basslines, Industrial purcussion, and chirpy melodies all keep the energy relentlessly high; but the track never feels like it’s getting away from you. Seeped in nostalgia enough to feel comfortable amidst the juggernaut groove.

Whereas the SynthWave tradition of cutting and editing videos from 80s Movies and TV shows is starting to get unoriginal and played out, Midnight Echoes go one further and film their own version of a slick Miami Vice-esque action flick.

[Download] Touch Sensitive’s ‘Slowments’

Australian producer Touch Sensitive A.K.A. Van She guitarist Michael Di Francesco, still riding high on the success of Pizza Guy is back with some new music for you. It’s a nice chilled contrast to his other material and holds some nice retro surprises. Enjoy Slowments.

Slowments is, on the surface, a smooth LA style jam. A poolside groove that within it holds an ethereal, magic quality and an abundance of 80s style sampling. Background sampled scratches and orchestral hits pad out the laid back funk of the track. Not surprisingly then, you’ll find the basis of the track is Art Of Noise’s Moments In Love, twisted in blissful Disco ways.

[Download] Final DJs reMix George Michael’s ‘Father Figure’

Germany’s Final DJs is back in the reMix business, this time taking on another of his favourite 80s tunes. This one come in the form of a blissful rewording of George Michael’s 1987 hit single; Father Figure. Retro synth goodness to follow.

Upping the tempo somewhat, Final DJs layers on thick synth bass and a laid back Disco beat. Capturing an 80s mood with his reMix while still completely retooling the song, they deliver a bouncy, pumped up version that utilises the Gospel chorus for a full-on energy blast.

[Audio] Tommy & Sally Shapiro’s ‘Why Did I Say Goodbye?’

Top-of-his-game SynthWave producer Tommy is gearing up for the release of his new album, Frequency Modulations, due out next month on Girlfriend Records. Taking the plunge into the waters of ElectroPop, Tommy has collaborated with rad ScandiPop duo Sally Shapiro on one of the album tracks, Why Did I Say Goodbye? is a true meeting of minds.

Somewhere in the middle between Sally Shapiro’s lilting SynthPop and Tommy’s driving, emotional, SynthWave sounds, Why Did I Say Goodbye? powers along on an energetic arpeggio and evolving snyth melodies, tempered by Sally’s sweet vocal. Both haunting and frantic, the dichotomy of the track really does express the styles of the collaborators. Can;t wait for the album.
