Jinder; not so Little anymore?

LittleJinder

All’s been quite in the Little Jinder front for a while, during which time she apparently dropped the ‘Little’, now being just Jinder. Still signed to Trouble & Bass, Sweden’s Jinder is currently gearing up for the release of her next single ‘Youth Blood’ (a track that previously appeared on Trouble & Bass’ instalment of the Scion A/V sampler compilations), an ElectopPop gem, which will include reMixes by some of Sweden’s top electronic artists.

This reMix, however, comes from London’s Bok Bok which heavily vocodes the vocals and rings some heavily disjointed disco:

‘Youth Blood’ December 1st followed by a remix EP, you can hear the original version on Jinder’s MySpace.

Cinnamon Chasers’ ‘Luv Deluxe’ gets screened

I’ve been meaning to post about Cinnamon Chasers for a while now. Their album, released digitally earlier this year, ‘A Million Miles From Home’ has been one of my soundtracks of the past few months, particularly for lazy Sunday afternoons.

Brilliantly crafted dreamy electro pop that lets light arpeggios and atmospheric synth riffs float atop disco laden beats and basslines, capped of with Russ Davies’ almost ethereal vocals. It’s a pretty chilled and emotional record but that doesn’t stop it occasionally veering into dancefloor territory with the likes of ‘Adored’.

The standout track has to be ‘Jetstreams’, which is a combination of all the best aspects of the album, and damn catchy too!

Anyhoo, the video for ‘Luv Deluxe’ is getting the big screen airing at a few London film festivals. ‘Luv Deluxe’ is a sweet track that drags you along in it’s groove, which makes this video the prefect accompaniment for it (watch it and you’ll see).

I love videos that tell a story, and this one is a cute, if fucked up, little tale.

Clock it on the big screen here:

October 29th @ Village Underground
Future Shorts’ ‘Beats From Above’ Festival
November 6th @ London Transport Museum Friday Late

‘Luv Deluxe’ is directed by Saman Keshavarz.

And get this in your MP3 player, I guarantee you’ll want more!

The week in Bangers: 07:06:09

The week in Bangers: While electronic rumors isn’t strictly an Electro-House blog, we do cover a lot of Electro-House that crosses over in to our realm. So many good club tunes and reMixes surface each week we can’t (and wouldn’t) cover them all, so this is a round up of some of the best from the week that we didn’t have time to dedicate individual posts to…

BoomBoxgraffiti.org

This weeks club roundup starts off with another reMix of La Roux’s ‘Bulletproof’ by tEPr and a Vitalic reMix of Birdy Nam Nam’s ‘The Parachute Ending’. Fredrick Carlsson reMixes Jonathan Johansson as Johan Agebjörn does for Friday Bridge. The Preset’s K.I.M tackles Bag Raiders’ ‘Turbo Love’ and the forthcoming Simian Mobile Disco single is given the treatment by Naum Gabo. Enjoy!

Good Luck At The Gunfight summer lovin’

GoodLuckAtTheGunfight2

“Kimberly is about a girl. Puma is about a woman.”

That’s how Good Luck At The Gunfight describe the latest tracks they dropped in the electronic rumors Inbox and when you keep that in mind it kinda’ makes sense.

We blogged GLATG a few months ago (well, raved about them really) and since then they have polished up the production and brought us two tracks that are a lot smoother than their previous delivery. With sweet lead lines and vocodered vocals these are two, in their own words, “electric summer love songs”.

I couldn’t agree more.

Pony Pony Run Run

PonyPonyRunRun

Getting some major airplay in Europe is French ElectroPop trio Pony Pony Run Run’s latest single ‘Hey You’. The accompanying reMixes are a really great crop of tunes.

Pony Pony Run Run themselves have dropped a stunning dance reMix. Heavier than the original it’s a ice cold Nu-Disco/ElectroPop mashup.

StereoHeroes have fun with their reMix, warping sound and bringing an old school dance flavour before dropping the Disco riffs while sayCet go completely the opposite direction and deliver an ambient, chilled noise lullaby that sounds like the world winding down.

electronic rumors fav, Beaumont, has dropped another new track on us, and it’s a corker.

Perfect to these hot summer nights, the Aussie has turned in a smooth Electro-House jam, Mid-tempo with warm bass and arpeggios, the track has a retro lead line that just screams ‘driving thorough the city at night’ montage!

Beaumont

Beaumont

We really liked Beaumont’s reMix of Ladyhawke that we posted here so when an email full of the man’s tunes landed in the electronic rumors Inbox we were more than interested.

Beaumont has a cool sound; a Valerie-esq retro Electro flavour with an infusion of 8-bit video game noises. What more could you ask for?

We’ve got three of his tracks here, all of them top quality Nu-Disco, with sharp FM lead lines, fat analog basses and that slight 80’s soundtrack feel that always works so well.

Beaumont’s use of bit crunched beeps and blips definitely set him apart from the pack.

Beaumont – Neon Dawn (Intro. Mix) (zShare) (MediaFire)

Beaumont – Last Night (zShare) (MediaFire)

Beaumont – Recital (zShare) (MediaFire)

Beaumont also dropped his reMix of Empire Of The Sun’s ‘We Are The People’, a chord driven retro epic.
