[MP3] Final DJs’ ‘Feel Your Breath’

final-djs_thumb_thumb_thumb

Another new single from Final DJs?!?!? They just don’t quit do they? Whenever Germany’s finest release a new tune it;s always a guessing game as to whether it’ll be SynthWave Final DJs or Nu-Disco Final DJs, whether it’ll be sweeping cinematic synths or groovy Tropical riffs. This new tune, Feel Your Breath, featured on the We Re-Created Disco, is a little of both, but leaning toward mirrorballed dancefloors.

Before we talk about the rest of the song, we just have to mention the insane, emotional, spine-tingling breakdown in this tune. A shuffling, rich, build with gentle vocal tones that is prefect for winding up excitement on the floor. Feel Your Breath itself is pure Final DJs’ epicness. A bouncy bassline is set off with soaring synth solos that take you on a journey throughout the track. One of this duos finest to date, Feel Your Breath is every bit for your mind and your ears as it is for your feet. The complete package.

[MP3] Crystal Coast’ ‘Symphonie Des Grauens’

crystal-coast1

Back in February we introduced you to new Chillwave outfit Crystal Coast. Coming out of Tennessee and Georgia, this duo serve up a whole mess of swirling, hazy synth sounds. They’ve just dropped a brand new track, Symphonie Des Grauens, as a precursor to their forthcoming new EP.

Symphonie Des Grauens is in equal parts haunting and funky. A soft focus, downtempo, R&B beat underpins a tune full off ebbing and flowing synthesizers and buzzing drones. Coming together to to create a dreamlike musical haze, the track’s ethereal vocal weaves in and out of the soundtrack like a ghostly lament. Crystal Coast are quietly putting out some seriously good stuff, you should be paying attention.

[MP3] Wolf Saga’s ‘Our Time’

Wolf Saga

Here’s Our Time, Canadian Chilly ElectroPopper Wolf Saga’s self-proclaimed summer anthem, and man is it summery! It;s probably Wolf Sags most upbeat tune to day, and not only is it full of sunshine goodness, but also sees the man picking up the mic alongside the keyboard. Sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Prepare for some blissful, laid back vibes with Our Time, as wolf Saga takes the first half of the track to ease you into some nothing-but-good-times SynthPop. Bouncy and quirky, the synths dance around the tune, playfully trailing their melodies when they do as the man himself gently croons summertime advice. About mid-way in the track the solo kicks in, and it’s such a soaring, epic, slice of synthesizer love that the tune takes on a whole new, cosmic, groove. This one’s for fun in the sun.

[MP3] Aimes’ ‘Keep On Movin’’

Aimes

Here’s the new one from Brooklyn synth head Aimes who, with Keep On Movin’, have taken on a new laid back House vibe to his music. We last heard from Aimes earlier in the year with his Beautiful Decay reMix EP that bounced off of last year’s original release. It looks like the producer wants to set us up for the summer with his new material.

Keep On Movin’ is a perfect slice of lazy electronica, the kind of tune you want soundtracking hazy summer days spent with friends. Sleek and soulful, it gives away Aimes’ Chillwave roots with waves of lush synths and warm tones that wash the track in a comfortable glow. Contrasting this is a solid House beat and a bassline with just a touch of Disco funk and a hint of Tropical dreaminess. We guarantee, this is one slice of sunshine bliss you won’t want to miss.

Conics

Here’s the latest reMix from out good buddy Jordan F. Jordan has always been one of the leading lights of the SynthWave scene, adding an added musicality and attention to detail into the genre, but his recent efforts have seen him breaking out of the box, trying new things and folding a diverse range of influenced into his music. [MP3] New tune from Follow Me

Follow Me

Brooklyn’s Follow Me are back with a brand new track that continues their chameleon like change from a slick Dreamwave outfit into a cool-as-hell retro House outfit. They’ve been hitting us with some storming reMixes recently, most recently their awesome reworking of Soul II Soul’s Back to Life (However Do You Want Me?), but it’s time for them to drop a new original tune, and this one is massive.

Somethin’ ‘Bout You, is a pumping House track with an absolutely killer bassline. Brimming with spaced-out Dubby effects, this track let’s it’s various elements, swirling synths, hazy vocal hook, swim in and out of the track, wrapping themselves around that think, punchy bassline that rides the House groove. Follow Me have really stepped up their game with this one, and instant slice of dance music nostalgia with a modern and ecclectic twist.

[MP3] Avec Sans reMixes Curxes

Curxes

Now this is pretty interesting and exciting. Two of our current favourite, but wildly different, British ElectroPop acts doing the togetherness thing. On the one hand their Curxes, post-Industrial avant-garde ElectroPopsters of the highest talent factor, on the other hand sweeping, dancefloor friendly ElectroPop wave-makers Avec Sans, who’s infectious, accessible synthetic Pop tunes have make them one of our best finds of the past couple of years. Here’s Avec Sans reMixing Curxes’ current single, Further Still.

We get the feeling that Avec Sans revelled in the chance do do something slightly, for them, outside of the box as the take Roberta’s haunting vocals and weave a tapestry of atmospheric synths and pulsating, bright basslines to compliment clicky and militaristic beats. Proving that Avec Sans can deliver enigmatic, left-field ElectroPop with the best of them, this, almost Scandinavian, track really is the best of both worlds.
