Louis La Roché reMixes The Swiss

the swiss

Nu-Disco wunderkind Louis La Roché has reMixed The Swiss’s forthcoming new single ‘Double Or Nothing’.

The single sees a welcome return after a period of quiet from the Australian ElectroPop duo and La Rouché’s reMix really sets the tone. Working the vocoded vocals hard to ride a bouncy Disco bassline, this reMix is pure Sci-Fi robotic Disco madness with laid back undercurrent.

The Swiss – Double Or Nothing (Louis La Roché reMix)

‘Double Or Nothing’ will be released 23rd September with another original track, ‘Womanthem’ and a reMix from Headman.

Aduno So Tanie, Kelek & Dusty Digital enter the Pippi Longstrump arena

Tiger

The cometition is really heating up in Fear Of Tigers’s ‘The Adventures Of Pippi Longsrump’ reMix wars.

Aduno So Tanie, Kelek & Dusty Digital are the latest two names to submit entries, both really high quality. Aduno has been featured on electronic rumors before and here brings a really glossy synth epic. Dreamwave in the truest sense of the word, this reMix doesn’t rely on kicking drums or a Disco bass to carry it, it merely soars along on intertwining layers of lush synths and uses the vocal sample in a way we haven’t heard before. Kelek’s take on the track is an awesome head on collision between mid-80’s ElectroPop and French Touch, with an almost New Order feel to it with a Nu-Disco sheen. Kelek really makes the track his own with a melody that will stick in your head. Dusty Digital bring more of a Disco flavour to the tune with a funky little lick running throughout.

All three are amazing works, if I had to choose one, gun to my head, I think the Kelek one would just take it.

Viceroy + Alkamyme reMix Madonna

madonna

Yesterday was the queen of Pop, Madonna’s birthday, to celebrate Viceroy + Alkamyme dropped their brand new reMix of ‘Like A Prayer’.

Before I played this track I really didn’t know what to expect. I couldn’t imagine the song reworked into one of Viceroy’s usual beach Disco jams. What he and Alkamyme have delivered instead is an analog bassed ElectroPop slow burner that pays true respect to what is one of the greatest Pop songs ever written. They have crafted a reMix that sits perfectly with the original, it’s understated but infectious.

Final DJs Vs. Corona

In a surprise turn German SynthWave crew Final DJs have turned their attention to mid-90’s EuroDance classic ‘Rhythm Of The Night’ by Corona for the reMix.

Giving it a bit of Italo, a bit of Balearic and a whole heap of Dreamwave, Final DJs whip up a storm of emotional electronic goodness. revitalising the track, and particularly the lead line, into something that sounds both fresh and nostalgically recognisable. Check out the second half of the track, Final DJs really play to their strengths with a beautiful, uplifting, solo.

Kid Machine

kidmachine

Here’s the new track from Mancunian producer of all things retro synth Kid Machine.

It’s called ‘’85’, fittingly as this track could have been rocking Top Of The Pop’s in the mid 80’s, all smoke machine and green flashing lights. Taking elements from Italo and SynthPop Kid Machine has created a track that sounds genuinely authentic, right down to the production style. From the post-Kraftwerk Italo beats to the Belgian New Beat-esque lead line ‘’85’ is a slice of nostalgia that also manages to be fresh as hell.

Bastille Edits Duck Sauce

ducksauce

We features Los Angeles Disco duo Bastille a couple of weeks ago and really dug their tunes, now they have sent on over their edit of Duck Sauce’s unreleased ‘Radio’.

The guys cut up this 80’s post-punk slice of New York Disco that the duo of A-Trak and Armand Van Gelded debuted at Coachella this year into a stomping retro dancefloor goodness. So desperate were Bastille to play the track out hat they whipped up this edit, which should keep everyone happy until it’s released. Those samples from The Members are gonna’ tear up dancefloors this summer.
