Neon Workout Vs. Clancy

Here is a mashup by Aduno So Tanie of Neon Workout’s ‘Running In the Night’ and, mostly, Clancy’s ‘Panther’.

I don’t know much about the guy who put this together but it’s pretty slick, still not really sure if it improves at all on the originals, it’s more like an interesting take on ‘Panther’ using bits of ‘Running Through The Night’. It does work though and it’s well put together and if you want something to jam out to this Friday afternoon then this could be it.

New tune from Boss In Drama

Brazil’s ElectroPop export, Boss In Drama, has been a little quiet for a while but explodes back with his new tune ‘Pure Gold’.

Washed in future Funk and electronic Soul, ‘Pure Gold’’s glitterball ElectroPop is evident from the very first synth lead and when BiD’s slick vocal kick in you know exactly what you’re in for. Straight-up DiscoPop that exists only for the good times. Having already scored official reMix work for N*E*R*S and Miami Horror, Boss In Drama is about to drop his début album, also titled ‘Pure Gold’, and it could be something really special.

Punks Jump Up’s new single

Punks Jump Up’s new single, ‘Chimes Pt. 1’ is released next week on kleinTanz.

It’s a fun tropical Electro Disco tune with a new video that reflects that, albeit in a 90’s music video way.

kleinTanz label boss Christian Candid in his Younger Then Me guise gets synthtastic with his reMix of the track.

Stop what you’re doing, there’s a new Russ Chimes reMix in town.

Saying “Russ Chimes can do no wrong” might be jinxing it, and his next production clould be shit and it would be our fault. But it’s not likely, ‘cos Russ Chimes can do no wrong. The man smashes it again with this new mix of Alex Metric & Charli XCX’s ‘End Of The World’ from Mr. Metric’s forthcoming ‘Open Your Eyes’ album. Russ seem to build and build on this tune, constantly adding layers to the killer riff that will be whipping dancefloors up into a frenzy this summer. Bringing it down briefly with a sweet piano hook and snatches of ElectroPop kook XCX’s vocal before dropping the listener right back into body moving inanity. To say Russ Chimes can move the crowd is a massive understatement.

Aaron Alexis

Aaron Alexis is a video director who was worked with Kitsuné and Chromat amongst others and is now expressing the ElectroPop side of his creativity.

‘Heart.Box.Smasher’, his latest tune, is an intimate electronic Pop tune that despite being quite layered managers to low key stripped down and personal. Aaron’s understated, almost whispered at times, vocal conveys a real depth of feeling while the deceptively intricate programming created a slightly distant, slightly detached mood as a counterpoint. With ‘Heart.Box.Smasher’, Aaron Alexis has crafted some incredibly listenable, somehow humble, synthesizer music.

Azari & III have an amazing ability to make deep, dark, 90’s House influenced tunes that are also totally catchy and Poppy. On the reMix here, Azari & III have produced a full-on House monster reminiscent of sweaty, early 90’s, warehouse parties. Deep, electronic and slightly Acidic, this mix just makes me more eager to hear their forthcoming album on Modular.
