Le Crayon reMixes Justice’s ‘D.A.N.C.E.’

justice

Finding yourself loving half the new Justice album but a little disappointed by the “let’s strip apart ‘60’s Prog Rock and make even more mediocre ‘60’s Prog Rock out of it” other half? Well Le Crayon has your antidote.

Ahh, remember the days of ‘D.A.N.C.E.’? Le Crayon does and has dropped an awesome reworking that brings it up to date a little  and gives it a nice heavy Disco-House feel. With more of a 2011 groove, in all it’s ironically retro glory, it’s time for ‘D.A.N.C.E.’ to takeover the D.A.N.C.E.floors again.

Redrum Alone

Redrum Alone

Italian Electro duo Redrum Alone have updated their 2006 track ‘RevolutionAir’ with a brand new version for 2011.

The new version of the track has a really nice musical dichotomy to it. the bulk of the track is cold and robotic. Regimented drum machine beats and android vocoders lay the groundwork here, but this is tempered by some deep warm synth pads and lilting melodies. The whole track is like a Sci-Fi experience, a journey through one of  Philip K Dick’s megalopolises. In their own words the track “…tell us a story about a philosopher able to travel through the time, as a ‘revolutionary’ spirit. While he observes amazing landscapes he feels the beauty of an interior revolution, which subsequently enables him to change the reality externally.”. What it sounds like a slick slice of pure Electro.

Monsieur Adi’s ‘Blood’

Monsieur Adi

Monsieur Adi’s ‘Fire Fire Fire’ single is already out, but this December it get’s turned into a whole EP of Adi’s orchestral Electro amazingness. Check the first new tune, ‘Blood’.

By now it’s probably a bit redundant for us to sing the praises of Adi once again, the man is a genius with top-of-the-pack skills in both Nu-Disco groove and massive cinematic orchestration and ‘Blood ‘ doesn’t disappoint. The way the majestic baroque introduction sets you up for the big drop works so well. There’s a touch of Daft Punk about this track but Adi can’t really be compared to anyone else out there, no-one does what he does, no-one could.

Monsieur Adi’s EP ‘Fire Fire Fire’ will be out on 5th December, the single is out now.

VanGuard reMix The Scientists Of Modern Music, again

The Scientists Of Modern Music

The Scientists Of Modern Music must have loved VanGuard’s last reMix for them so much, they’ve gone and got them back to work over their forthcoming new single.

The welsh Nu-Disco outfit have done another stellar job on the reMix. Their version of ‘Girl On Top’ is pure funky goodness. The percussion in this tune is crazy, and it’s what drives the track along and provides such an intense backing for VanGuard’s big, rounded, funk synths and soaring leads. Mix that up with The Scientists Of Modern Music’s slick Antipodean ElectroPop and you’ve got a cool glide straight to the dancefloor.

Clancy reMixes Robyn’s ‘None Of Dem’

robyn

We’ve been waiting for this one for a while. As unashamed lovers of Robyn we can’t think of anything better than Clancy, one of the UKs top Nu-Disco producers reMixing ‘None Of Dem’.

Clancy peppers his retro synth groove with a sweet ‘90’s House Piano riff running throughout. There’s also a nice Italo influence in the bassline too, in fact the reMix seems to be a melting pot of everything that’s good and great in dance music, wrapped up with Robyn’s left-field ElectroPop. That’s kinda’ what I like about Clancy, as well as having the production skills, he always seems keen to draw on different styles but never let’s them overrun what he’s doing. It makes for exciting synth music every time and, as displayed here, dancefloor gold.

The Sound Of Arrows’ new single

thesoundofarrows

The Sound Of Arrows next slice of sweeping SynthPop euphoria (i.e. their next single) will be ‘Wonders’.

Continuing their recent leaning toward big room sounds, ‘Wonders’, is crazy uplifting, despite being quite mid-paced it’s really hands-in-the-air. This is dancing on the beach at sunrise stuff. There’s a video coming next week, which is something to look forward to if The Sound Of Arrows recent clips are anything to go by.

Adrian Lux featuring The Good Natured

The Good Natured

Adrian Lux  has created beast of many faces with his new track alongside The Good Natured.

On the one hand ‘Alive’ is a big progressive monster that veers into Ibiza hands-in-the-air territory. Which seems at total odds with Sara’s often dark, moody, impassioned vocal style and lyrical content. But y’know what? They’ve made it work and the end result is actually pretty powerful. Sure, the lead sound in the chorus is ultimate cheese, but by the second time it comes around you’ll be pumping your fist in the air with the best of them.

The ‘Alive’ single is out now with a reMix package featuring Albin Myers, Blende and Adrian Lux & Style Of Eye to follow.

Polinksi’s ‘Stiches’ video

Polinksi is Paul Wolinski from 65daysofstatic, and this is the beautiful video for his track ‘Stiches’ featuring Big Black Delta.

The retro future Spectrum/C64 feel work perfectly with the eclectic ElectroPop (although sometimes the graphics are a little too good!).

Polinksi’s album, ‘Labyrinths’, is out31st October.
