[MP3] New track from Nude Disco

nude-disco_thumb

Here we have a brand new slice of smooth synth Disco from London’s Nude Disco. Apparently this is taken from a forthcoming Nude Disco records sampler. Apparently there’s a Nude Disco Records now, and apparently this is from a samples they are putting out. Looks line Vern is holed up in South London creating a media Empire with the awesome Nude Disco clubnight, the music and now a label. Disco things are happening.

Anyhoo, global Disco dominance aside, this latest tune is a blissfully chilled excursion on thick synths and wicked licks. Weaving a little SynthWave and a little squelchy LA Funk into the track, Vern serves up a plethora of summertime sounds. With everyone making such soulful summer jams these days, we seem to be stockpiling some serious sunshine tunes of mass destruction, to be used the minute the sun comes out for more that two hours.

Sometimes & Andrea Britton

Sometimes & Andrea Britton

Out today on Modal is the new single, So Many Reasons, from Sometimes & Andrea Britton. Sometimes is a collaboration between Cassette Club’s Ben Macklin and Vern of Stretch ‘N’ Vern/Reflekt/Nude Disco fame who have teamed up with London based singer/songwriter Britton to drop this blissful slice of DancePop.

Britton is pretty prolific when it comes do dance music vocals, both as a solo artist and as the voice of countless Trance tracks, she has hones a particularly soulful, yet euphoric, style that she displays expertly on this slick of relaxed, summery electronica. So Many Reasons has actually got this really nice SynthWave undertone to it, especially in the bassline with has got this subtle post-Italo feel to it that injects a little retro feel in the track. This works really well alongside a hint of a Balearic sunrise vibe and insanely infectious ElectroPop tune. More than anything though, So Many Reasons is just a timeless, classic dance tune, the kind that just feels right when you hear it.

Nude Disco & Paul Harris reMix Toby Tobias

Toby Tobias

Toby Tobias’ The Feeling, slow groove Disco club smash for a few years back, has been given a fresh new makeover from Nude Disco and  Paul Harris. Both these guys have a long history in dance music so handing them something like Kathy Diamond’s smooth vocal on this tune is bound to produce something sweet.

Fast forwarding the track four years the duo give this tune a shiny Disco-House makeover. Keeping a lot of the Disco groove of the original, Vern & Harris drop a kicking new House beat and layers upon layers of sharp synth work. The soulful vocal takes on a new energy coupled with this new backing, which when added to the intricate synths, makes for a track you could get lost in on the dancefloor. We love these guys reMixes.

Cassette Club reMixed by Nude Disco

Cassette Club

London ElectroPop duo Cassette Club are now gearing up for the release of the full version of their Flash EP on Modal later this month (the two track single is available on Bandcamp now), and amongst the track contained within is this gem from scene workaholics Nude Disco. It’s a reMix of Bodylights, which was last featured on Cassette Club’s recent free Unreleased EP.

Nude Disco drop a little Funky House, a little Deep House and a little Nu-Disco into the mix for their latest jam. Luckily the vocal refrain remains intact, as it’s one of the smoothest choruses you’ll hear all year and Nude Disco use that to it’s fullest, wrapping it up in a heady mixture of throbbing basslines, pounding drums and hypnotic synths. Nude Disco add a little drama to proceedings too, with a big vocoded build midway before dropping you back in the Funk.

Nude Disco reMixes Stretch

Stretch

Stretch, the latest alter ego of Stretch & Vern/Sucker DJ’s main man Stretch Silvester, is about to release his début single on his brand new imprint Bring Back The Future. Enjoy What You Do heavily samples Wham!’s 1982 début single Wham Rap. The ever awesome Nude Disco have taken up the reMixing reins and turned in a heavy Disco-House version of the track.

Adding a much more pumping beat and a booming Italo bassline, Nude Disc beef up the track 200%, opening it up the sparse original to drilling lazergun synth hits and shimmering lead lines. Using the Wham! tracks chorus a lot more than the Original mix, both vocoded and not, Nude Disco blends the familiar refrain with some seriously uplifting solos. Pure dancefloor gold.

Nude Disco & Paul Harris reMix Donna Lewis

Donna Lewis

OK, if there’s two things you know le love ‘round these parts it’s cheesy Pop and Disco, and London’s Nude Disco is fast becoming our go-to guy for slick combinations of the two. Especially when teaming up with Dirty Vegas’ Paul Harris. Remember Donna LewisI Love You Always Forever? Prepare to get funky with it.

Vern and Paul grab a hint Italo, a little of the Balearic, a sprinkle of Nu-Disco and mix it up with pitch perfect use of the vocals to create an instantly recognisable, but funky fresh, summer jam. An upbeat beach vibe and some dreamy swooping synths keep the track on the edge of blissful with the vocals chanted out like a mantra, it’s almost hypnotic.
