[Download] AIMES’ ‘Time For Us’

aimes

Brooklyn’s AIMES seems determined to bring a little warmth and summery vibe to these cold winter months with his last few releases. The latest in his series of free singles is Time For Us, and like the others, shows off AIMES’ ability to perfectly blend influences from number of styles that are hot right now, and make them all sound personally unique.

“Vibe Huse” as AIMES calls it, presents us with a heady cocktail of Deep House and Tropical Disco, with just the tiniest hint of Chicago in the mix. A thundering beat provides the backbone for a dazzling array of swing fuelled synths. Blissful arpeggios chug along in the background while the tracks focus is taken by a demon bassline and some sweet island keys. Just sink into this one.

[Audio] Tensnake reMixes London Grammar’s ‘Hey Now’

london grammar

German Housemeister Tensnake is on top of the world right now, and it’s good timing too as he’s gearing up for the release of his début album, Glow, which, from what we’ve heard, is going to sound awesome. Keeping up the energy until the record’s release Tensnake presents his latest reMix. It’s a mix of UK Indie-ElectroPop darlings London Grammar’s new single (and arguable their most recognisable song), Hey Now, and it’s pretty special.

Holding on to the London Grammar original’s guitar work, Tensnake merges their Indie sensibilities with his own warm and funky House vibes to create something that sounds almost Post Punk-y. An undulating and ethereal into soon gives way to a cascade of retro-tinged dancefloor sounds and Hannah Reid’s dreamy vocal. Rich and enveloping, this reMix is a little different from the norm, but a stunning piece of work.

[Download] Chris Malinchak’s ‘Forever’

chris-malinchak

With Tropical vibes merging with the UK Deep House sound these days, it looks like we’re set for a summer of blissful, dreamy tunes. New York’s Disco don Chris Malinchak kicks things off with his new tune, Forever, which he’s dropping as a freebie ahead of the release of his next proper single. Malinchak surprised everyone last year with two UK chart topping singles, So Good To Me peaking at number two and it looks like he’s going to be continuing that trend into 2014.

Forever leans on subby basses to get a hypnotic club vibe going. Laying down an easy going House groove, Malinchak peppers the track with Tropical purcussion and infuses a drifting, soulful, vocal sample into a carefree beach party tune. Listen up peeps, this is the sound of the summer right here.

Hot Natured

Lxury, the man behind J.A.W.S. and a storming reMix of Chvrches Lies has served up this reMix of London/LA House collective Hot Natured’s Benediction from 2012. Getting the stamp of approval from the Hot Natured crew, Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Luca C, and Ali Love; the track sees an official release next month behind some serious radio play.

This one has an awesome flow to it. A deep, deep, bass pops in and out of the track amidst sparse snatches of Ali Love’s original vocal and the kind of melody you just can’t get out of your head. A track perfect for UK festival play, this is both a sunshine jam and a warn club tune. Either way, we can’t stop listening.

[Audio] Fear Of Tigers’ ‘The Legend Of Ian Usher’

Fear Of Tigers

More tracks incoming from Mr. Fear Of Tigers. here’s his latest, The Legend Of Ian Usher, and as you can expect; it provides some massive big room sounds. Complex and melodic, we hope this isn’t the last we’ve heard from one of the UK’s unsung musical heroes.

Remember when Electro-House tunes were big euphoric tunes layered thick with 80s nostalgia. Well, The Legend Of Ian Usher brings those huge sounds back. Corse Chip Tune sounds shudder and flow alongside lush retro synths and an utterly compelling Disco bassline. Chopped up smooth vocal samples give way to jazzy sax hooks. Wait until you heard the breakdown! Infectious stuff!
