Short Circuit reMixed by Sam Padrul

We’ve already dropped the Fabian reMix of Short Circuit’s awesome ‘How We Speak’, now check out this funktastic version from Sam Padrul.

The Chicagoan producer lays on the Fuck thick on his reMix. He already had the sweet vocoder Disco of the original to work with and has taken that and run with it. The retro chords and digital slap bass are almost too much to bear playing off each other to bring whole new levels of smooth to ‘How We Speak’.

Short Circuit – How We Speak (Sam Padrul reMix)

‘How We Speak’ is taken from Short Circuit’s ‘Late Night Drive’ EP, out now on Binary Entertainment.

Final DJs actually make a shit LMFAO track good

‘Party Rock Anthem’ by LMFAO is shit. I know it, you know it, it’s the kind of track that gives Electro a bad name and just an embarrassment.

So when Final DJs dropped of their remix of the track I really wasn’t going to write about it, however, it turned out to be really good. Final DJs are fast becoming really talented at big retro synth lines and slick production and this track really show off their skills. Pity about the fucking irritating vocals.

Jowie Schulner’s ‘Sunset Chase’

Jowie Schulner is head honcho over at Boombar Records, who have some tasty releases incoming, and a solo artist in his own right.

Taken from his forthcoming artist album, ‘Sunset Chase’ is a night drive classic in the making. The distilled essence of retro, 80’s soundtrack influenced, synth music complete with big reverby snares, driving arpeggios, lead synths that soar off into the distance and some crazy, crazy arpeggiated synth axe! Next time you have to drive somewhere to confront your nemesis in the final battle, make sure this is on the stereo.

Jordan F’s ‘Definitely Miami’

Syndey based producer Jordan F send on over his latest creation, a track called ‘Definitely Miami’.

Jordan hopes it “makes you think of Crockett and Tubbs in a car chase chasing criminals through the streets of Miami”, give it ‘til the midway point and it defiantly does. He’s got some nice 80’s TV theme tropes in there from the drums fills to the power chords, all wrapped up with a deep retro bassline to give it that bit of groove.
