Dutch duo Legan And Met first came to our attention with their recent reMix of Forster The People’s ‘Helena Beat’.
The guys have now released their début EP containing five original tunes (good on them for not just flooding everyone with reMix after reMix, just to get their name around!) for us to sink out teeth into and get to grips with just who Legan And Met are. SynthWave with an Electro beat could sum them up, but that would be doing the twosome a disservice, their tracks are much more intricate and varied than that. they create epic, synthesizer soundscapes that are both emotionally melodic and Sci-Fi insane, with Cosmic Disco grooves for people in shiny jumpsuits. The songs on the ‘Future Odyssey’ EP are constantly evolving and building from start to finish, so the finale of each tune is a rousing electronic set-peice. Serious retro-future stuff.

We’ve been keeping our eyes on Cut Slack for the last couple of months, we definitely think this Portuguese producer is going to be giving us some awesome tunes in 2012.
He’s easing us into it with this new reMix of the awesome Yelle’s ‘Comme Un Enfant’, where he’s got a perfect grasp of the groove of the track and works it to his advantage with heaps of funk bass and big retro chords. We’re keeping our eyes on Cut Slack, now you know you should be too, he’s going to be a Nu-Disco name in the coming year.

Futurecop! said they had something pretty special in the pipeline, and they weren’t kidding.
This coming January the duo, one of the UK’s finest ElectroPop acts, teams up with the Keiz Beats label to release the soundtrack to the movie in their heads. Unfortunately the actual movie doesn’t exist, but the soundtrack will more that keep us happy. This will be Futurecop!’s first worldwide album release (2010’s amazing ‘It’s Forever, Kids’ was a Japan only release) and sees the guys bring a more epic take to some of their tunes. A mixture of uplifted versions of tracks you know & love and brand new tunes the album promises to be the Futurecop! record we’ve all been waiting for. check out the robo-Disco Funk of ‘Northern Lights’ and a new, soaring, version of ‘Transformers’ for a taste of what’s to come, and check out our Google+ post to see the trailer for ‘Futurecop! The Movie’.

More new Little Boots! Débuting on Radio 1 last week this track from her forthcoming new album see her teaming up with Electro-House producer Michael Woods.
‘I Wish’ is probably the closest thing to a ‘bang0r’ that Boots has ever done. this is a track aimed purely at peak time, big room dancefloors rather than the charts. Pumping Ibiza stings and Victoria’s anthemic sing-along chorus in combination make this a sure fire summer hit for 2012/ Rousing and uplifting, with just the slightest hint of melancholy to the vocals, this is one to drop when the floor is full.

Russia’s greatest ElectroPop export Tesla Boy have dropped a new track, and a taste of what to expect from them in 2012.
‘Waste My Body’ combines that classic smooth Tesla Boy sound with a touch more aggression. The bass, in particular, has more balls to it whist the chorus is surprisingly full-on Pop for these guys, which a nice ‘80’s touch. You can see where the band is heading, funnelling retro Pop and Nu-Disco in to one energetic output. We’re definitely looking forward to Tesla Boy’s new album.
