Brite Futures
Ever wonder what became of Indie-ElectroPop funsters Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head? Well, they became Brite Futures (I presume for legal reasons) and are back with a brand new track.
‘Baby Rain’ is more good time gangly synthy Indie-Pop and confirms that the name change hasn’t affected their sound much. Catchy and summery, Brite Futures’ forthcoming album will, no doubt, be another collection of great party tunes.
Brite Future’s new album is due out 1st November.

ODahl joins Futurecop!’s N.A.S.A.
Earlier this week we told you how Futurecop! was giving away the updated version of their track ‘N.A.S.A.’, featuring Christian Rich, as a single on SoundCloud.
Now, awesome retro Disco producer ODahl has been added to the tracklist with his take on the tune. Boy, can ODahl make it smooth! Loaded with Funk synth sounds and a Disco beat his mix is everything we’ve come to expect from ODahl and, as ever, it has that cool beach vibe.

This brother and sister from Perth add their unique take on Indie and SynthPop to the ever growing, ever impressive Australian ElectroPop pool, having already grabbed out attention on the Kitsuné X Ponystep album a while back, the ‘Animalia’ single sees them better than ever. It’s atmospheric and moody, in a 4AD kinda’ way, but amazingly catchy too, they are definitely a welcome fresh voice in Electro. The French Touch genius bounces things up with a wicked synth bassline but restrains himself so things never overpower the song.

Drawing from a range of modern Electro influences Ace Attack’s music spans everything from soaring Dreamwave solos to gritty Danger style bit-crushed riffs. But it’s the melodies and musicianship here that really impress, these are real instrumental pieces, the kind produced by Jarre, Hammer or Hancock. Popskarr’s new single
South African reMix and production duo Popskarr have just dropped their new single ‘Tonight’ for free.
‘Tonight’ is a song of two levels. On one hand it’s got a stomping modern Electro beat and a touch of Electro-House about it, but on top of that the chords and vocals are really melancholic 80’s. It’s an interesting combination that really works and as the track builds toward it;’s finale there is a real sense of drama about the track. reMixes are supplied by, amongst others, Show Your Shoe and King Of Town. SYS show us a different side to his work with a chilled, almost ambient tune. Rolling, glitchy, drums and broken synths are used to their fullest effect to create a really involving atmospheric electronic peice. King Of Town go all out with a dancefloor oriented ElectroPop stomper, heavy on the sweeping.
