Philosophy Of Sound’s second single for Discotexas, Fragile Disco, has just been released and continues their deep, vintage sounding, Disco oddessy.

Check out the new video, directed by Martin Koszolko. It features far to many apps and not enough actual instruments in our opinion, but it’s a nice looking affair.

Also just our for you listening pleasure is this reMix of the track from fellow Discotexas-ers Coupons, to take the track to even deeper places with growling baselines and space-age melodies.

Sure Thing’s ‘Holding You Tight’ video

Sure Thing exists in the finest tradition of Bristol coloration. This particular outfit consists of Bristol legends DJ Die, Christophé (of Futureboogie) and Desi Rogers (alongside Joker, William Cartwright and vocals from Chloé Lang), who have come together to make some of the smoothest Boogie around.

This is the clip for their forthcoming début single, Holding You Tight. Director Adam Bell perfectly captures on old VHS recording of a Disco clip.

Holding You Tight is released early October.

Scarlet Soho’s ‘Solo KO’ video

Solo KO is the powerful title track from UK Indie-Electro heroes Scarlet Soho’s forthcoming new EP. It’s an anthemic slice of impassioned electronic Pop that’ll be sure to provide some hands-in-the-air gig moments.

Steve Hogg directs this clip which just goes to prove, alongside Raging Bull, that boxing looks better in Black and White.

Goin’ Old School isn’t a trip down music memory lane, it’s a mugging in the dark alleyway of nostalgia:

Today we are Goin’ Old School, and goin’ Sheffield. Kicking off with Heaven 17’s Influential, and charged  Lets All Make A Bomb from 1981’s Penthouse & Pavement.

We can’t got to Sheffield without slipping in some of my beloved The Human League. Here’s ‘that’ The Human League moment in The Sound Of The Crowd from 1981.

Sheffield’s unsung ElectroPop heroes Thompson Twins with a TOTP performance of 1983’s Love On Your Side.

Strange Talk’s ‘Cast Away’ video

Ladytron’s Marnie announces solo album

Ladytron’s  Helen Marnie has announced that she has been recording a solo album in her time between Ladytron chores.

The album is being recorded in Iceland and Marnie is crowdfunding the release where pledges can pick up everything from personalised ringtones to Helen’s old Mini Cooper. Check out the video for a taste of what’s to come.
