[Audio] L’Equipe Du Son reMixed by Emeron & Fox

lequipe-du-son_thumb

Here’s a new reMix from Brooklyn based SynthWavers Emeron & Fox. This time they’ve turned their attentions toward Dutch Nu-Disco producer L’Equipe Du Son, still riding high on the success of his recent Transmissions album. Taking one of the albums highlights, Le Rocker, Emeron & Fox whip up a floaty synth Disco tracks to mesmerise you.

This one’s got all the makings of a quirky floorfiller. Counterpointing a rolling, bouncy bassline with layers of playful melodies, Emeron & Fox aim to move your feet, but keep it fun. Every so often the track will surprise you with a new riff, or a new take on the riff playing, keeping the tune like a funky, ever evolving dream. Possible their funkiest track  to date, this reMix’s groove just keeps on going.

[MP3] MiGHty mOUse reMixes Keljet

Keljet

This is all kinds of crazy good. Dutch Disco dons Keljet new single for On The Fruit Records, Love Of A Life featuring Brooklyn’s X Ambassadors, as reMixed by the mighty mighty MiGHty mOUse. What more could you ask for now the weather is getting better. Those nights are getting warmer, and longer, and this is the perfect soundtrack.

Few people do such classy deep House/Disco collisions like MiGHty mOUse, and this one’s got the best warehouse vibe. With an absolutely infectious Piano Rave hook over the top of some gloriously groovy, slightly Torpical, Disco, MiGHty mOUse delivers a track that’ll have you entranced on the dancefloor. You can totally loose yourself in this one as the hook nicely plays against X Ambassadors passionate vocal. This is only the first reMix of this track to break ground, can’t wait to hear the rest.

[MP3] Viceroy & French Horn Rebellion

Viceroy & French Horn Rebellion

Will you look at this! Two of our favourite producers these days, New York Disco duo French Horn Rebellion, who have been knocking it out of the park recently and San Francisco’s Viceroy, whose Dreams Of Bombay is still on rotation round these parts, teaming up to deliver a massive party jam, for free (initially). It’s an ode to their “favourite day of the week”, Friday Nights (which is technically their favourite night of the week, but we’ll just let them have that one).

Friday Nights lives up to it’s promise. A bouncy slice of huge synth Disco that plays to both Viceroy and FHR’s talents. With a punchy bassline and stabby retro synths this one is both chilled and energetic, perfect for the start of the weekend. French Horn Rebellion’s vocals are, as usual, smooth and anthemic making Friday Nights a party starter whatever day of the week you stick it on.

[MP3] Figure Of 8 covers Joy Division

figure-of-8_thumb

OK, so we know Figure Of 8 has been in Game Of Thrones, so obviously he’s got some experience with battles and weapons and all kinds of ‘deeds’, but jeeez, nothing prepared us for the kind of bravery it takes to go near Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart. That takes big brass balls. Many before him have tried and failed. When you play the game of covering-Joy-Division’s-most-recognisable-song-and-a-beloved-classic, you win or you die.

So don’t expect classic riffs and sing-a-long moments here. Figure Of 8 wisely stays away from trying to ape the original. Instead we are treated to more of a homage, a deep, Acid tinged House tune. Haunting and hypnotic, this one draws you into it’s strobe light groove threatening to keep you on the edge of it’s hook forever until finally breaking out with some warm pads and pinprick snyths. As the ♥ Will Tear Us Apart marches toward it’s finale, layers of sound wash over the track pushing it toward it’s euphoric high point. Figure Of 8 has this uncanny knack of making classic, almost timeless, sounding Dance music, and once again he’s delivered the goods.

[Audio] Le Youth reMixes Jakwob

Jakwob

Hot on the heels of his latest mixtape LA Disco producer Le Youth is back with something a little more Housey. Taking Dubstep superstar Jakwob’s latest single Fade Wes James whips up something a little trans-continental, and funky as hell.

This reMix is like a meeting of Chicago and LA. While undoubtedly early 90s House at it’s core, Le Youth washed the track in smooth LA Disco sounds. The end result being a glorious mix of deep bassed warehouse grooves a lush beach vibe snyths. Le Youth plays with the vocals perfectly to accompany the track. Expect woody basses, sweeping snyths, robotic percussion and vocals that swirl round your head in this intoxicating slice of dancefloor gold.
