New York DiscoPop duo The Knock’‘ collaboration, with fellow New Yorkian rising stars X Ambassadors, the blog destroying Comfortable, is about to become the subject of many a reMix. Getting in ahead of the pack is one of Chicago’s’ finest House exports, Rogue Vogue, who give the track an authentic 90s spin. Hold tight for the synth stabs!
Solid 909s from the offset, Rogue Vogue delivers his classic brand of House music on this reMix. Accentuated by the bounciest of basses and shimmering Sci-Fi keys, this reMix whips up a frenzy of strobe light vibes and an urban swing. Using the vocals relatively sparsely, Rogue Vogue unleashed another jam destined to pack dancefloors.
♫ The Knocks (Feat. X Ambassadors) – Comfortable (Rogue Vogue reMix)
Comfortable is the new track from New York’s reigning DiscoPop duo The Knocks. Another collaboration, this one features fellow New Yorkian rising stars X Ambassadors (last seen on Keljet’s Love Of A Life) and continues The Knocks’ blissful laid back Disco oddessy. Sit back, relax, and get…well…comfortable.
The lead track from The Knocks forthcoming new EP, Comfortable delivers the sunshine vibe in heaps. Rolling basslines and buzzing synths work together to create a head-nodding groove, loaded with city funk. The vocals supplied by X Ambassadors add to the urban rooftop party mood with chill verses and an anthemic chorus. It’s hard not to move to this one, so why bother resisting?

The Knocks’ Comfortable EP is released 18th February.
Here is the storming, and we really mean storming, new single from London based Nu-Disco guru Blende. His second release for Eskimo Recordings, Rikki is a track we’ve sat with for twenty four hours and it has still not lost any of it’s wow factor. I’d keep an eye on this one, it’s gonna; do big things.
With one foot well and truly in the ElectroPop arena, the Swedish born funk master teamed-up with X Ambassadors’ Sam Harris for one of the catchiest, most infectious slices of DiscoPop you will hear this year. The tune is the tale of “a robot named Rikki” an is a huge combination of stabbing retro synths, solid Disco grooves and big sing-a-long vocals. Everything you need for dancefloor gold. Taking in a little big of everything, front the warbling 80s digital bass to the 70s funk Moogy twists, Rikki is like an electronic music nexus, all influences meet here and get Popified into the prefect DiscoPop tune.
Out this week is Dutch duo Keljet’s, X Ambassadors featuring, new single Love Of A Life. You’ve already had a chance to get on board with the original, and the MiGHty mOUse reMix, but wait, there is an added bonus! This bonus comes in the form of a storming freebie from Dreamwave superheroes, guardians of the Nu-Disco faith, unicorn chasers themselves, Ride The Universe.
You’re going to need to be sitting down before you press play. For two reasons. One, the track is so smooth you might just melt, and secondly, on the off-chance you don’t melt, you may be compelled to uncontrollable break into dance. Fame style. The funky foursome deliver the perfect synthetic groove, that perfect balance of robo Disco and slick LA Funk that Ride The Universe does best. Driving basslines, fluid talkbox vibes, as big breakdown and a massive finale are all present and correct. Right here you can get lost in a reMix you never want to leave.
Be prepared, because Love Of A Life is a huge slice of Tropical ElectroPop that’s so upbeat and energetic it’ll likely catch you off-guard. The Dutch Disco duo have whipped up one of the biggest sounding singles of the year so far. Loaded with pounding drums, a buzzsaw bassline and layers of floaty, almost Trance, leads, all topped off with some Balearic percussion and an anthemic vocal. This is a large sweeping track that is sure to take certain clubs by storm this summer.
This is all kinds of crazy good. Dutch Disco dons Keljet new single for On The Fruit Records, Love Of A Life featuring Brooklyn’s X Ambassadors, as reMixed by the mighty mighty MiGHty mOUse. What more could you ask for now the weather is getting better. Those nights are getting warmer, and longer, and this is the perfect soundtrack.
Few people do such classy deep House/Disco collisions like MiGHty mOUse, and this one’s got the best warehouse vibe. With an absolutely infectious Piano Rave hook over the top of some gloriously groovy, slightly Torpical, Disco, MiGHty mOUse delivers a track that’ll have you entranced on the dancefloor. You can totally loose yourself in this one as the hook nicely plays against X Ambassadors passionate vocal. This is only the first reMix of this track to break ground, can’t wait to hear the rest.
