[Audio] TEEEL’s new tune

TEEEL

It a new tune from our favourite New jersey based SynthWaver TEEEL! This new tune, Imperial, is only available on Mannequin Records’ new compilation album, The End Of Civilization. The release is available digitally, or on limited edition vinyl, TEEEL’s track is worth the price alone.

Imperial is a big, sweeping, SynthPop tune with all the power of a Sci-Fi epic. Keeping with the Brooklyn Lo-Fi SynthWave sound, TEEEL expertly crafts a blanket of lush analog sounds, fresh with pulsating bass and shimmering leads. TEEEL’s epic, anthemic song flows perfectly over the top and culminates in a gritty, but utterly soulful, synthetic love song.

[Audio] Shook reMixes Ghost Beach

Ghost Beach

This almost slipped past us. Late last week Crazy Heart Records unveiled the new reMix of New York DiscoPop duo Ghost Beach’s Been There Before, by none other than the Dutch musical Funk master Shook. The track is part of a series of remixes from the likes of Penguin Prison, Gigamesh, Chad Valley and Summer Heart that will be dropped weekly, culminating in a full reMix EP release at the end of March.

Shook, of course, works his vintage disco magic on the track. The reMix is loaded with the Dutchman’s typical Moog Funk basslines and 70s disco pops and pows. Presented in a laid back groove, with Shook’s jazzy electric piano at the forefront, the track is the prefect melding of Shook’s 70’s Disco and Ghost Beach’s tropical sounds. One for late night dancefloors and lazy poolside days.

[Audio] Only You’s ‘Reap The Voice You’ve Made’

Only You

Here’s the new one from retro Pop artist Only You. He’s released three songs so far, and earned three posts on electronic rumors, that a 100% conversion rate so far! This New Jersey based producer consistently impresses with his slick 80s style ElectroPop tracks. With a slight Americana twist, and heaps of nostalgia, his tunes always brighten out day.

Once again his latest track, Reap The Voice You’ve Made, shows off his rich, expertly crafted, songs. And epic vocal performance, introspective and intimate in the verses, powerful and anthemic in the choruses, raises this track up. Accompanied by authentically period drums and bassline and some shimmering synth lines, the whole track comes together to form an exciting, uplifting experience. Some of the best ElectroPop around.

[MP3] Pelifics reMixes Liebe

Liebe

Amazing Swedish SynthWave producer Pelifics has dropped this new reMix of Greek duo Liebe’s Strangers. The track is part of Leibe’s Somewhere In Time album and has just got the single treatment with a release last week. Pelifics is the prefect guy to give it a lush retroPop sheen.

The reMix hits all the right notes for a huge chunk of Boogie with a bouncy 80s bassline and vintage drum machine beat. It swaps the original ElectroPop’s tune Piano House flavour for a deeper, nostalgic vibe. Vocoders and cowbells round out the mix, and there even some of our beloved orchestral hits in the mix if you listen carefully. Pelifics turns a big slice of ElectroPop into an even bigger slice of evocative period Pop.

[MP3] Computer Magic

Computer Magic

One of out favourite artists hailing from Brooklyn (and that is no mean feat, we’re pretty sure that when you move to Brooklyn you get given a complimentary analog synth) is Computer Magic. We’ve written about Danielle Johnson’s music a fair bit over the past couple of years, but thinks have been pretty quite since last summer. No fear though, she’s back with a brand new single, A Million Years, due out in march and it’s everything we’ve been missing.

Mixing up a hazy Indie-Electro vibe with a solid Disco groove, A Million Years, pumps along to a hypnotic Moog bassline and spacious, atmospheric, buzzing synths, wrapping the listener in a blanket if electronic comfort while Danielle’s quirky lament sounds a lot more cheerful than the songs subject matter would suggest. If you like interesting, quite introspective, Indie-ElectroPop you’ve come to the right place.

[Video] Depeche Mode’s ‘Heaven’

So the big news this week, as you’ll probably guess from our Twitter and Google+ feeds, is the new single from one of our all-time faves Depeche Mode’s forthcoming 13th (and probably last) studio album Delta Machine, Heaven.

Heaven is a pretty unsurprising. An epic ElectroPop track injected with Dave and Martins blues influences The B-side, however, All That’s Mine, is a fantastic, moody, synthetic opus that harks back to late-80s Mode. Check the video for Heaven, directed by Timothy Saccenti, who revels in Depeche Mode’s religious iconography.

[Audio] Soldout’s ‘94’

soldout

94 is the first single taken from the new album More. The new record from Belgian ElectroPop outfit Soldout. The new single, which is out now, sees the duo going even deeper with their classic SynthPop sound, there’s even hints of The Good Natured’s style Goth-Pop in there amongst the infectious beats.

A brilliant balancing act between dark and poppy, 94 is less EBM’y than Soldout’s previous work. this has been replaced with an effortless Indie-ElectroPop hipness with relentlessly funky beats that play against the dramatic tension of plucked strings and a thick synthetic bassline. The song itself is quite whimsical, yet emotional, which adds the the sheen of detached cool. This could be Soldout’s big breakthrough moments right here.

[Audio] Mmoths featuring Holly Miranda

Mmoths

Irish producer of spacious beats and The XX support act Mmoths is gearing up for the release of his new EP, Diaries, the lead track of which is a beautifully abrasive slice of edgy and atmospheric Electronica featuring the vocal talents of new XL Recordings signee Holly Miranda. All These Things.

It’s a smokey composition where drill-bit industrial sounds are morphed into something ethereal and magical, intertwining with a post-Chillwave, post-Dubstep soundscape and Miranda’s silky smooth vocal. Inhuman sounds suddenly become organic and flowing as the track seems to evolve naturally over it;s course. Like a song grown, rather than created. We can definitely see All These Things earning Mmoths a great deal of attention.

[Audio] Flemming Dalum reMixes Decadance Vs. Italoconnection

Decadance

Disco Modernism records have got something a bit special lined up for their next release. Italo pioneers Rago and Farina are set to, once again, unleash their classic Decadance track On And On (Fears Keep On). Originally released in 1983, the track has achieved near-legendary status amongst Italo fans. here it is presented re-produced for 2013 with Italoconnection and a little additional vocals from Vik. Featuring on the release is a fresh remix from none other than the King Of The Cut, Flemming Dalum.

Flemming delivers a absolutely blinding reMix here. Thick with pulsating synths, Flemming’s reMix is a Sci-Fi epic. The original stood it’s ground  as early 80s futurism, and this reMix delivers the same attitude. The bassline alone is so full and deep that you’re looking over your shoulder, half expecting our robot overlords to be arriving. Add to this the growling vocoder work and that amazing arpeggio progression from the original and you’ve got yourself the soundtrack to a rainy near-future dystopia and a track that compels you to hit your local Italo dancefloor.

♫ Decadance Vs. Italoconnection (Feat. Vik) – On And On (Fears Keep On) (Flemming Dalum reMix)

Decadance Vs. Italoconnection’s On And On (Fears Keep On) is released 1st February.

[Video] Vanbot’s ‘Hold This Moment’

Here is the brand new video from our girl Vanbot for her forthcoming single Hold This Moment. We’ve been waiting for new Vanbot material for a while now and Hold This Moment doesn’t disappoint. It’s big, chilly, ScandiPop with tons of heart. Beautiful, melodic, SynthPop.

The video is the slickest clip Vanbot had done to date. It’s very Scandinavian, full of stark monochromes and tundra, but has an amazing personality too. This has made out day.

Vanbot’s Hold This Moment is released in February.
