Fear Of Tigers – ‘The Guestlist’ 27/05/2011 = Fear Of Tigers presents a whole hour and twenty minutes live from Stockholm featuring The Sound Of Arrows and Mille, the Swedish kings of ElectroPop and Dreamwave, and some massive, massive tunes.
Southend-On-Sea’s premiere ElectroPop outfit The Vanity Clause are back with a new track this month after months in the studio, a string of successful shows in the South-East and a major line-up change (not reflected in pic).
‘The Scream’ sees The Vanity Clause showing more of their New York Disco influenced side, helped as usual in no small part by Louisa Strachan powerful, soulful voice which, in the wrong hands, could be wasted but Russell Harris skilful melding of ElectroPop styles gives the backing enough groove to sit well with the vocals without straying too far from the SynthPop path. If this track is any indication of what to expect from The Vanity Clause’s next release then we could be in for something special.
Fear Of Tigers – ‘The Guestlist’ 20/05/2011 = The Ride The Universe boys join Feat Of Tigers for an interview and a storming 20 minute minimix on this week’s ‘The Guestlist’, as well as Double Trouble picking their big tune of the week and all the best massive tunes.
Fear Of Tigers – ‘The Guestlist’ 13/05/2011 = Russian Nu-Disco guru Cosmonaut Grechko stops by for a chat with Feat Of Tigers and to show off his new track alongside all the best ElectroPop, Dreamwave, Nu-Disco and big room tunes this week.
Fear Of Tigers – ‘The Guestlist’ 06/05/2011 = The week Fear Of Tigers’ special guest is Valerie Collective head honcho, and the man behind College, David Grellier and in a fit of insanity Fear Of Tigers invited me back on the show to pick my big tune of the moment, which had to be Ride The Universe’s reMix of Chromeo’s ‘Hot Mess’, alongside the usual best of ElectroPop, Dreamwave and Nu-Disco around.
As you probably know Ben from Fear Of Tigers ran the London marathon a while back to raise money for WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals). We’d like to extend our congratulations to Ben for an amazing job, you can read about it in this blog post, and there’s still time to get in with a quick sponsorship if you’re feeling charitable, check out his Just Giving page.

EDIT: Well, for the sake of less than 30 seconds of a Daft Punk track in a mix which is, arguably, promoting their music, Walt Disney Records/Universal Music’ have seen fit to kill Pop-Fu 08.Seems a bit pathetic singling this mix out for infringement when a simple search of SoundCloud would reveal (at this time ) at least six illegal uploads of the whole track, but who are we to question the insane logic of a major record label. So Pop-Fu 08 is dead (and, not that I’m that bothered, but the play stats and comments too), lovg live Pop-Fu 08 (Redux)!Yes, it’s the same mix with the offending track removed and a whopping great fade in! I suppose you could pretend the intro is not longer made up of a Daft Punk track but a recording of John Cage’s 4’33”!
Chicago based 21st century, post-ElectroClash, ElectroPop chicks Moneypenny are giving away the reMix package of their latest single, ‘Destroy’.
In exchange for your eMail address the three track single can be yours featuring reMixes of ‘Destroy’ from Bright Light, Mother Hubbard and this track from electronic rumors faves and fellow Windy City denizens Midnight Conspiracy. MC take the track and go pedal-to-the-metal, Electro-House style, in a high octane clash of deep bassline and buzzsaw synths that truly earns the title ‘banger’.
