Fenech-Soler’s new single

Fenech-Soler02

Fenech-Soler are tearing up Indie-Electro dancefloors up and down the UK right now, their forthcoming single ‘Stop And Stare’ is set to continue the trend!

The title track is a synth driven anthem, when it’s released in April you can bet you will be hearing it all over, it could very well be the soundtrack to your summer!

The single comes with a nice reMix package, including this one by Tony Senghore. Dropping in 8-Bit sounds and cutting analog synths this reMix is just dirty Electro build after build!

Oh Shit! & Night Drugs

OhShit&NightDrugs

OK, this lot’s been blogged to death in the last few days but I’ve been doing a bit of computer upgrading so this is a bit of a let post, but who cares, right? This is some killer music that some of you may not have heard (yet!).

LA and France meet head on in this heavyweight Electro face off! Oh Shit! and Night Drugs are teaming up to drop the single ‘Everybody Needs’, and it’s pretty funking amazing! Smooth SynthPop meets Filter-House and massive funk bass. The EP will have eight reMixes of the track. My pick of the pack would have to be electronic rumors faves Diamond Cut, who mix it up with heavy bass, a sweet lead line and big Disco flavour, Bit Funk’s huge Nu-disco vocoder outing and Binary man Fabian with his deep Disco-tinged Dreamwave track.

New autoKratz EP

autoKratz

autoKratz manage to walk that line between noisy Electro-House and proper ElectroPop more successfully than most. Leaning more toward the former is this track, ‘Skin Machine’ which is the B-Side of their forthcoming ‘Kick EP’.

One of the most exiting live acts in Electronic music, autoKratz have recruited Jagz Kooner for production duties on their forthcoming album and if ‘Skin Machine’ is anything to go by it’s gonna’ be a full on affair. Almost Industrial-Electro this track is just relentless!

Baby Monster reMixed by Jocks

BabyMonster02

The timer is ticking down to the release of Baby Monster’s début single ‘She Comes Alive’ on BigStereo Records.

London based Jocks have dropped their reMix of the track to tide us over, and it turns the electronic aspects of the song  all the ways up! We posted Jocks’ reMix of CHEW LiPS ‘Play Together’ recently and together with this track, it’s looking like Jocks is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Look out for another of his reMixes later today!

THISISNOTANEXIT release their Manifesto

THISISNOTANEXITManifesto1

Forward thinking alternative electronic label THISISNOTANEXIT, home to act as diverse as the raw Electro-Punky Detachments and Canadian ElectroPop geniuses Parallels, have just dropped their premiere label compilation. As the title, ‘THISISNOTANEXIT – Manifesto #1’, suggests it’s more than a collection of artists, it’s a proclamation of what the label stands for.

The combination of sonic experiments and quality pop music (in the best possible way) seems to define the artists on THISISNOTANEXIT, on the album you get ambient acid soundscapes from Brain Machine alongside the instrumental Bedroom pop of Professor Genius, the Nu-Disco excursions of Hatchback alongside the Noise-Pop of They Came From The Stars I Saw Them, and more dancefloor friendly offerings from the likes of Pink Stallone and Night Plane. And, of course, the utterly brilliant ElectroPop jam ‘Ultralight’ by Parallels.

These two tracks may give you a taste of what to expect, first up we have Memory Tapes alter ego Weird Tapes with their DIY Acid/ElectroPop mash-up ‘The Walking Dead’ and Young Monday, whose raw disco ‘Zaire’ is one of the more dancefloor orientated tracks on offer.

Weird Tapes – The Walking Dead (zShare) (MediaFire)

Young Monday – Zaire (zShare) (MediaFire)

Most of the tracks on ‘THISISNOTANEXIT – Manifesto #1’ are previously unreleased. The album consists of two CDs (or ‘chapters’), the first being a label compilation, the second being a mix by label boss and man-with-a-great-ear Simon Carr.

This is some highly recommended shit right here!

Tiga & Chromeo; What more do you need?

Tiga02

Like a big Montreal mash-up, long-time friends Tiga and Chromeo together on a track sounds too good to be true.

Turbo is just dropping the second selection of reMixes of Tiga’s ‘What You Need’ featuring works by Steve Aoki, A-Trak and Chromeo.

It’s almost a Chromeo track, awash with heavy funk bass and covered in Dave 1’s vocals and makes a pretty good hold over until the duo release their third album this summer..

Diamond Cut reMix Starrset

Starrset

Unique American Rave/Pop/Hip-Hop duo Starrset have got one of our favourite reMixers of the moment  Diamond Cut to tackle their track ‘My Face’.

The original is a Rave-Rock-Rap part tune which Diamond Cut throw out the window before grabbing their synths (yay!). This is tight as anything, the beat and arpeggios command your attention, you can feel the whole song just building to the soaring synth solo kicking in. I love this stuff!

Computer Club & Frankmusik!!!

ComputerClub

Heavy, dirty Electro with UK ElectroPop genius Frankmusik’s vocals? That’s what you get with this collaboration between Vincent and LA’s Computer Club.

Walking the line between ElectroPop and noisy Electro-House, ‘Loosing Streak’ is taken from the forthcoming ‘Nerd Secrets’ 9-track EP.

Computer Club has also dropped this reMix of SynthPop classic ‘Don’t You Want Me’ by The Human League (who we are eagerly awaiting news of their Wall Of Sound release from) that brings that unmistakable riff to the dancefloor by beefing up the drums and bass.

Nocturnal Sunshine

NocturnalSunshine

Maya Jane Coles, 50% (and main production force) of the wonderful Dubstep duo She Is Danger, is ready to unveil her new project, Nocturnal Sunshine, in the form of this track ‘Dirty Secret’, a blog first right here!

The track is big, warping, bass injection, combining elements of Dubstep, chilled Electronics and Tech-House. Dark, atmospheric and erotic, ‘Dirty Secret’ drags the deep ‘Fetish House’ of the late 1990’s kicking and screaming into 2010, forcing it to submit to the bass.

Maya manages to take snippets of may different styles of Electronic music and wrap them all up with a heavy, heavy, Dub bow, as you can hear from these two other examples of her work. ‘Don’t Believe The Hype’, a solo tune, mashes more traditional Dub with a 4/4 beat resulting in a late night (early morning?) chilled carnival anthem, while back with She Is Danger, this cover of Eurythmics’ ‘Whose That Girl?’ is an absolute killer. She Is Danger’s subby Dubstep seems a perfect fit for this track!
