Yelle reMixed by Juveniles & Second Date

yelle

Later next month Frances best ElectroPop trio Yelle release a reMix EP of ‘Comme Un Enfant’, from their awesome ‘Safari Disco Club’ album.

Kitsuné’s latest outfit, Juveniles provide the first mix, getting their quirky Indie-Electro vibe on with a bouncy stripped down synth Disco sound played off against stuttery Indie guitars.  Second Date’s take on the track introduces some deep tribal sounds to the track. their version makes for a nice mix between proggy Electro and ElectroPop and a little Tropical flavour.

DannielRadall’s new single

DannielRadall

This week saw the release of our favourite Méxican retro SynthPopper DannielRadall new single.

‘To Make You Mine’ features Steffaloo and is another wonderful slice of Lo-Fi ElectroPop from Danniel, loaded with slick ‘80’s licks. Buzzing synths, roomy reverb and a cool summer vibe ooze from the speakers when you a slap this track on. Not following any retro-cool pack when it comes to making music, DannielRandall continues to carve out a unique little niece in ‘80’s inspired music.

The Loveliers’ new video

Poland’s The Loveliers have released a new video for ‘the New Wild Ones’.

The tracks been around for quite a while now but these new visuals give it a whole new lease of life. Monika Kotecka & Karolina Poryzała directed haunting imagery to go with the haunting, sweeping, synths.

Zebra And Snake’s ‘Empty Love Song’

zebra and snake

Can you hear that? That’s the sound of Zebra And Snake channelling early New Order and Joy Division with a twist of their own.

Not what I expected from the Finnish twosome, ‘Empty Love Song’ is cute and dark art the same time, sparse yet indicate. With a sound reminiscant Ian Curtis’ vocals and the snare from ‘True Faith’ those early ‘80’s comparisons are inevitable, but on further listening it’s actually the style of songwriting that is most evocative of that era. I think up until this point I’d only heard reMixes from these two, definitely looking forward to hearing more original work.

‘Empty Love Song’ is taken from Zebra And Snake’s album ‘Healing Music’, due out Spring 2012.

Laidback Luke & Black Cards reMix Anjulie

Anjulie

I’ve not come across Anjulie before, apparently she’s rockin’ gold records in her native Canada, obviously not made it this side of the Atlantic yet.

What I do know, however, is Laidback Luke has done his big Disco-House thing to her latest single ‘Brand New Bitch’ and loaded it with simple but infectious riffs and massive synth sounds. It controls the room with it;s builds like only Laidback Luke can. Black Cards also contribute a reMix, apparently this is someone from Fall Out Boy’s electronic project. It’s a tad dated, but now bad really. I’m saying ‘apparently’ in this post a lot, not really got a lot to say about either Anjulie (I don’t think I’d be a fan un-reMixed) or Fall Out Boy, the tunes are pretty good though, kinda’ what I’m in the mood for today.

Blue Satellite reMixes Monsieur Adi (& The Whip)

Monsieur Adi

The excellent Blue Satellite get’s his Justice on with this reMix of Monsieur Adi awesome, epic, Nu-Disco single ‘Fire Fire Fire’.

In one of the most exciting reMixes I’ve heard this month Blue Satellite takes many of the elements of Electro these days that have been annoying me, making the scene complacent and predictable, and injected them with a new energy and craftsmanship and, basically, just show up half of the Electro-House scene as lazy, talentless fools. This is how it should be done.

♫ Monsieur Adi – Fire Fire Fire (Blue Satellite reMix)

He’s also just reMixed The Whip’s new single ‘Keep Or Delete’ with a sound more like we would expect from Blue Satellite but still rocking a new found chainsaw synth edge to his production.

Van Go Lion’s ‘Colors’

Van-Go-Lion

Here’s the ElectroPop epic from Portland’s finest export Van Go Lion.

‘Colors’ is a nice slice of glitterball Pop that sees Josh slide a little Disco into his flawless ElectroPop production, this new track has a definite Kylie sheen to it in both the music and the production of Amy’s vocals, which are typically perfect power Pop. We would expect no less. More dreamlike that previous Van Go Lion tracks, ‘Colors’ isn;t as instantly catchy but washes over you in waves of electronic Pop goodness that seems to be ultimately more satisfying.
