[Audio] Disclosure & London Grammar’s ‘Help Me Lose My Mind’ reMixed by Paul Woolford

disclosure_thumb

UK Producer of the moment Paul Woolford has turned in this glorious head nodding reMix of Disclosure’s London Grammar featuring Help Me Lose My Mind. A reMix so good it’s getting it’s own release alongside a Dub version int he coming weeks. What happens when you mix up Disclosure’s UK Deep House with an infectious old school piano hook? Dancefloor insanity, that’s what!

Snappy beats dominate the track, part Chicago, part Garage, the pop away in the background laying the foundations for layers of spacious synths. Take the piano and bass away from Woolford’s mix of Help Me Lose My Mind and it’s quite a floaty, dreamlike tune, but that razor sharp bassline and rolling, infectious, House piano keep the track constantly in sharp focus. Hannah Reid ethereal vocals are just the icing on the cake.

Back with No More, the single, Imperfections, mixes a Deep, Techy, House sound with soulful vibes.

With a shuffling Garage House beat, Imperfections is a dancefloor controller. Drop this tune and the whole crowd will be lost in dance. A hypnotic, bass driven tune that permeates every part of you for it;s five minute length. Melodically used vocal snatches ride a pulsing bassline and a slowly, but methodically building wave of synths. Awesome midnight music.

[Audio] Booka Shade’s ‘Love Inc.’

Booka Shade

There’s some deep funky grooves in the for of the new single from the legendary Booka Shade. Love Inc. is taken from their forthcoming album, Eve, an album it look like almost didn’t make it. Apparently the duo nearly split up after the release of 2010’s amazing More! album, saved by holing up in a studio full of vintage gear and getting to feel like a band again. The result is released in November with this single preceding it in October.

The word that springs to mind when listing to Love Inc. is, oddly, pleasant. It’s a really nice tune. Bursting with low down House grooves and European club beats, it’s the densely layered cinematic arrangement and waves of rousing synths that make this track feel all warm and cosy. Getting a bit Techy in places, Love Inc. is the perfect combination for compelling dancefloor stormer and chilled laid back House vibes. the album should be interesting at the very least with appearances from Fritz Kalkbrenner and Groove Armada’s Andy Cato.

[Audio] Citizen & Joe Ashworth’s ‘Situation’

Citizen

Situation is the latest release on W&O Street Tracks comes from London.Nottingham producer Citizen’s team-up with newcomer Joe Ashworth. These two together deliver straight-up deep club vibes on their new one, Situation. Prepare for some deep warehouse jackin’ vibes.

Featuring vocal work from Shona Carmen, the track own much of it’s DNA to early 90s House tracks, but it brandishes those influences subtly. Working it’s way into London’s clubland just as much as imitating Chicago pioneers. Rather than a pastiché of House-gone-by, Situation works a punchy, deep subby bassline and big diva vocals to their fullest amidst a contemporary arrangement. The best of both worlds really. Get into it.

[Audio] Tiga Vs. Audion’s ‘Let’s Go Dancing’

Tiga Vs. Audion

The new single from ElectroClash pioneer and Techno legend Tiga hit the internet this weekend in it’s full form. Let’s Go Dancing is a collaboration with Audition (an alter ego of Matthew Dear) that first appeared in clip for in August that got a lot of tongues wagging. This past weekend Annie Mac premiered the full eight minutes of the finished mastered track immediately before it’s SoundCloud and iTunes releases.

The tune is nearly ten minutes of hypnotic Techno. Deep House influenced vibes wash the tune, that is build nor nothing less than hours under a strobe light. A slow creeping juggernaut of pulsating synth sounds and vintage drum machine beats. Utterly intoxicating, the track draws you in with each bar as it ever so gradually builds and builds it;s abrasive groove. We don;t think you’re going to be able to escape this tune in the club over the coming months. Let’s Go Dancing will also be available as a full reMix package in November, with work from the likes of Solomun, Maya Jane Coles and Breach.

[Audio] Anna Lunoe’s ‘Breathe’

Anna-Lunoe-3

After a rash of awesome releases on Future Classic, including collaboration with Flume and Touch Sensitive, Australian producer Anna Lunoe has just dropped a huge tune via Fool’s Gold/Ultra Music. The track, Breathe, was co-producer by Vaughn Oliver, A.K.A. U-Tern (or as he’s probably better know these days, one half of Oliver). Smouldering Deep House vibes for the weekend.

With one foot in the early 90s, Lunoe delivers a futuristic floorfiller that listens like a record of early dance music production techniques . Amongst the stuttered sampling and sinewave bassline, Lunoe serves up an intoxicating and catchy ElectroPop tune. Utterly irresistible, Breathe delivers everything you want right in the middle of the night, on the middle of the dancefloor. A sure-fire hit, just you wait and see,

[Audio] Deep Sound Express features on Pole Jam Vinyl’s inaugural release

Deep Sound Express

Let us introduce to you Pole Jam Vinyl. A brand new label, or sub-label from Pole Position Recordings and Satin JacketsGlam Jam Artists label. Pole Jam’s remit is to bring their blend of smooth Nu-Disco and Deep House grooves to vinyl, making sure only the best makes it to black wax. They’ve just released their first 12”, the Endless Sunday EP, a purely Russian affair featuring two tracks from KLar&PF and two tracks we felt were the EP’s standouts from Moscow’s Deep Sound Express.

The first of Deep Sound Express’ contribution is a collaboration with Too Techs, Sunday Morning. Dropping heavy House vibes, the track is the prefect mix of solid dancefloor workout and laid back sunrise sounds. Definitely one for dancing into the early hours of the morning, the first of Deep Sound Express’ tunes works 909 beats and hazy, jazzy electric piano to create a feel good House mood with a hint of Nu-Disco thrown in for good measure. There’s something immediately comforting about Sunday Mornings slick production. The second track, After Rain, features Raha and is slightly more upbeat. Only slightly though, it still retains the dreamy piano and deep, smokey tones of it’s predecessor but with the added energy of some crooned Funk vocals and slick Disco licks. The whole EP is loaded with classic late night jams, if you;re looking for something to take your dancefloor into the early hours, then this is it.

[Audio] Plastic Plates’ ‘Come On Strong’

Plastic Plates

Felix Bloxsom A.K.A. the awesome Plastic Plates, has finally poked his head out from his studio and furnished us with a brand new tune, and it’s been a while. With this new tune he’s no only sowing off a new direction, but that he’s lost none of his talent for moving the dancefloor.

Come On Strong is pure House. Even Plastic Plates most recent track, his reMix of Para One’s Every Little Thing, back in March, still had a strong Disco undercurrent, but Come On Strong is 100% Chicago warehouse fodder. Working both an early 90s House sound and a more contemporary club vibe, Felix effortlessly commands the tracks six minute length, creating an every building symphony of deep basses, hypnotic vocal samples and hammered Rave leads that’ll have you reaching for the white gloves in no time. An excellent example of both jackin;’ and Deep House that’s already being supported by the likes of Alex Metric, Aeroplane, Touch Sensitive, and Cassian.
