Aaron Alexis’ ‘Full Moon’

Aaron Alexis

Photographer, Director, Kitsuné collaborator and ElectroPop producer Aaron Alexis has dropped his next track on us.

Continuing his unique take on SynthPop, Aaron’s music is quite and understated. That’s not to say his songs aren’t rich and full tracks, but there is an air of intimacy, of introspection about them. Meticulously crafted, ‘Full Moon’ is impassioned, yet distant, and makes wonderful use of layers of synths and drums to create ElectroPop that is lush, but calming.

Ilya Santana

Ilya Santana

We’ve got some serious bass heavy cosmic Disco here in the form of French label La Belle’s latest release. Ilya Santana’s ‘Infamous Lovers’.

A true intergalactic journey, Ilya’s single is a synthesizer workout to please even the most jaded knob twiddler. The playful electronics ride over a solid backing of deep Disco bass and proggy guitar resulting in a 70’s Sci-Fi Disco epic that could easily ride alongside a space montage in Carl Sagan’s Cosmos. The mixture of a Disco groove and Jarre or Vangelis-esque synths is quite intoxicating.

‘Infamous Lovers’ is released 12th September with reMixes from Kasper Bjørke and Telonius.

Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard reMixes Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs

teed

Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard is on the reMix for the new Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs single, and really leaves his mark on the track.

The single, a re-release of ‘Garden’, comes fresh with a new crop of reMixes. the Hot Chip/2Bears wash on the track is quite evident and the combination of Goddard’s trademark deep grooves and light toytown Indie synths with TEED’s introspective vocals seems like a match made in heaven.

Sam Padrul’s ‘All I Do’

Sam Padrul

Sam Padrul début single ‘All I Do’ has been making quite a few blog waves this week, we’ve been a bit busy, so if you haven’t checked it yet, here it is.

It’s a nice slice of Disco ElectroPop with a soulful edge. Crammed to bursting point with Funk bass and slick Disco guitar licks, but it’s those Moog-esque lead lines that have us hooked. With Blue Satellite’s hand in production this is one Funk filled jam. The weather had taken a turn for the shitty worldwide it seems, well throw this track on and close your eyes, it’s summer again.

Futurecop! reMix Cobra Starship

Cobra Starship recently released their ‘Night Shades’ album, and if you picked it up on iTunes you would have been treated to this reMix of their single ‘You Make Me Feel’ by none other than Futurecop!.

Futurecop! put all their bounce into this reMix. This is strictly for the big room. Hands-in-the-air, almost Trance, ElectroPop massiveness with a big breakdown that kicks back in with a killer riff.

Fear Of Tigers’ ‘Pippi Longstrump’ reMix competition heats up.

tigers

Seconds out…round, er, what is it?, three?

Anyway, here’s out round up of some of the freshest entries in Fear Of Tigers’ ‘The Adventures Of Pippi Longstrump’ reMix competition. They’re coming in this and fast. Greek producer Kristine completely nails the 80’s teen movie vibe with her reMix. Heavy on electro toms and a wicked 80’s Pop guitar lick, Kristine has done something a little different here and stands out because of it. John Sawtooth goes for a real old school SynthPop sound with some amazing lead lines running throughout that really add a whole new level to the track. Lastly Melbourne’s Fighting Bison comes out swinging with a sweet ElectroPop mix with a little Disco flavour the leads into a earbending, soaring cosmic solo.
