Silenx reMixes The Tapeaters

The Tapeaters

The Tapeaters and Silenx. Two of the more interesting act to emerge in the last couple of years.

So for Silenx to work his Nu-Disco excellence on The Tapeaters retro DiscoPop is a bit of a treat. The track ‘Don’t You Dare’ is the Russian duo at their ElectroPop finest and Silenx adds his bright synthy sheen to the tune. The track has a smooth, laid back vibe despite being pretty upbeat, the thick , warm sounds that Silenx uses gives his reMix an little soft Funk, even Yacht, flavour in amonget the kickin’ Disco beats.

Lost Years’ new track

lost-years

Here’s a new tune from the awesome Lost Years.

It’s only been a couple of months or so since we last wrote about Lost Year’s but he’s been knocking out tracks at an alarming rate in the meantime. ‘The hunt V1’ is his latest, an effortless meeting of Dreamwave and Italo and a track that wouldn’t have been out of place on European dancefloors in the mid ‘80’s. Like all his tracks it’s a rich and densely layers affair, for that really full SynthWave sound but with a nice Italo twist in the bassline.

Monsieur Adi’s ‘Blood’

Monsieur Adi

Monsieur Adi’s ‘Fire Fire Fire’ single is already out, but this December it get’s turned into a whole EP of Adi’s orchestral Electro amazingness. Check the first new tune, ‘Blood’.

By now it’s probably a bit redundant for us to sing the praises of Adi once again, the man is a genius with top-of-the-pack skills in both Nu-Disco groove and massive cinematic orchestration and ‘Blood ‘ doesn’t disappoint. The way the majestic baroque introduction sets you up for the big drop works so well. There’s a touch of Daft Punk about this track but Adi can’t really be compared to anyone else out there, no-one does what he does, no-one could.

Monsieur Adi’s EP ‘Fire Fire Fire’ will be out on 5th December, the single is out now.

Clancy reMixes Robyn’s ‘None Of Dem’

robyn

We’ve been waiting for this one for a while. As unashamed lovers of Robyn we can’t think of anything better than Clancy, one of the UKs top Nu-Disco producers reMixing ‘None Of Dem’.

Clancy peppers his retro synth groove with a sweet ‘90’s House Piano riff running throughout. There’s also a nice Italo influence in the bassline too, in fact the reMix seems to be a melting pot of everything that’s good and great in dance music, wrapped up with Robyn’s left-field ElectroPop. That’s kinda’ what I like about Clancy, as well as having the production skills, he always seems keen to draw on different styles but never let’s them overrun what he’s doing. It makes for exciting synth music every time and, as displayed here, dancefloor gold.

Clancy’s ‘Panther EP’ is out now and comes highly recommended.

Housse De Racket reMixed by Robotaki

Housse De Racket

Parisian Indie-ElectroPopsters Housse De Racket’s ‘Roman’ has been knocking around for a while now, with q few reMixes to it’s name. Is there room for one more? There is if it comes from the Canadian who’s name is on every-blog-body’s lips, Robotaki.

Robotaki goes big with this mix, as he tends to do. There’s some really fat sounds lurking around here, both in bass and chords, spacing out the track. With a touch of Funk, a touch of the epic Indie vibe of the original and a touch of dancefloor smash worming their way into Robotaki’s full ElectroPop sound, the whole kinda’ lifts the track, bringing out the emotion, and the groove, of the song.

Robotaki is in the process of finishing up his début EP due out in 2012.

Walter Sobcek’s ‘Miami’

waltersobcek

Here it is, the long, long, long awaited new single from French Dreamwave/ElectroPop outfit Walter Sobcek.

‘Miami’ may have been released just as Summer is drawing to a close but within the first minute you’re put straight back into a long summer nights frame of mind. ‘Miami’ is pure, smooth, ElectroPop which leans a surprising amount on acoustic guitar, but this just adds to the hazy nostalgia of the track. Pharao Black Magic are amongst the reMix contributors. their effort brings more of a solid synthesizer Disco vibe to the tune and makes for a nice dancefloor compliment to the originals beach groove.

New EP from Flashworx

flashworx

You gotta’ love them Flashworx guys! Over the weekend they dropped a whole new EP, for free!

The ‘Futurisma’ EP is four tracks of synthesizer heaven. Building on from the sound the forged in their ‘Two Guys In Japan’ EP last year the duo take their SynthWave strongly into Italo territory. Using their synthesizers as brushes to paint a Sci-Fi picture of exploration of the unknown, Flashwox have crated an EP that flow together in an audio narrative of space flights and travel to distant worlds. All with, of course, two feet planted firmly on the dancefloor. The ‘Futurisma’ EP is a definite welcome return for these guys.
