Cavaliers Of Fun reMixed by Young Digerati

cavaliers-of-fun

Two of the smoothest acts ever to grace a beach party get together for some hot reMix action right here as Ricco Vitali A.K.A. Cavaliers Of Fun gets versioned by LA’s slick ElectroPopsters Young Digerati.

Taking ‘Gold’ from CoF’s recent ‘Sharing Space Secrets’ EP, Young Digerati up the dancefloor ante on the track and inject the dreamy laid back groove of the original with some Disco goodness. The new upbeat slant to the song actually make the vocals into something of an anthemic sing-a-long. If you like your ElectroPop infused with feel good chants and bouncy analog basslines then check this tune out.

Kid Machine’s ‘Cold Planet’

kidmachine

Kid Machine gets into a place where dark Italo and Cosmic Disco meet with his new tune ‘Cold Planet’

Premiered on Mr Flemming Dalum’s radio show this month, this track has got a really nice musical duality to it. On the one hand there is an aggressive, punchy rhythm section build upon sparse 80’s drums and an icy arpeggiated bassline, however this is tempered with layers of lush, sparking, synths that lend on optimism to the tune. ‘Cold Planet’’s authentic ‘80’s Italo sound is sure to strike a chord with all fans of SynthWave (or whatever it is calling itself this week).

Night drive on!

May68’s new single

may68

May68 have just announced their new single, ‘White Lies’.

Part retro SynthPop, part Tropical, ‘White Lies’  is a strangely schizophrenic beast. The jangly IndiePop of many of their former Kitsuné label mates sits alongside bouncy analog synth bass and occasionally  the track feels like it looses focus. This doesn’t stop it, however, from being a totally catchy tune that is sure to fire up Indie-Dance discos across the UK.

‘White Lies’ is released 17th October on Black Duck Records.

The Juan MacLean’s new tune

juan-maclean

‘Everybody Get Close’ is the new tune from DFA jack-of-all-trades The Juan MacLean.

It’s the title track from his forthcoming new record, due out November 6th, which collects various bits and pieces from the last few years of  his career. ‘Everybody Get Close’ is an analog Disco workout, all vocoders and sweeping synths. With one foot heavily in Moog Funk this track feels like old school The Juan MacLean and that raw New York Disco DFA sound.

‘Everybody Get Close’ is available on digital only release from November 6th.

Monsieur Adi’s new single.

Monsieur Adi

Out today, Monsieur Adi’s new single is smoking hot!

After a few setbacks, the ‘Fire Fire Fire’ EP is finally here and just proves once again, that Adi is seriously one of the most talented producers working in electronic music right now. Both behind the keys and behind a mixing desk Adi excels. Heavy Disco drums and powerful rolling synth bass drive the track through territory littered with growling synth riffs and soaring guitar solos. Then just when the excitement reaches it’s peak Adi drops a layer of his trademark beautiful strings to intertwine with the guitar. It not very often that a producer so completely nails it that you’re tempted to use the word perfect.

I’m tempted…

Justice. Helix.

justice

This one goes out to everyone who’s been living under a rock this past week.

More new Justice ,in the form of album track ‘Helix’, has reared it’s Electro head. ‘Helix’ is huge stadium Electro as we’ve come to expect from the duo, with that impressive musicality that runs through all their work. There’s a lot of griping about the new Justice tracks around, but I just don’t see it, to me this sounds quintessentially Justice. Maybe they are just making the album I want them to make (melodic and funky with an edge of aggression) and not the album the rest of the world want them to make (fucking 320kbps bang0rz). I dunno, I really like it.

As expected reMixes are already being chopped up, here’s Mr. Moustache‘s Disco edit with a few familiar samples thrown in, medley style..
