This week sees the release of French production duo BeatauCue’s latest offering on Kitsuné Music.
‘Disque Oh!’ comes with an awesome reMix package consisting of mixes by the likes of Don Rimini, J-Wow, and High Rankin and this storming Electro-Disco tune by Eumig & Chinon. Cut up and crazy, the E&C reMix is a juggernaut of Disco riffs, Distorted chainsaw synths and big room French-Touch. It’s a powerhouse of a track.

This is pretty special! The Nu-Disco kind of strings Monsieur Adi has dropped this gobsmackingly good mash-up between Ellie Goulding’s ‘Guns & Horses’ and Daft Punk’s ‘Make Love’.
This is one of those occasions where the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts. I haven’t heard a version of ‘Guns 7 Horses’ that highlights the real beauty in Eliie’s voice as well as it is showed off here. I love her vocals anyway, but in Adi’s hands there almost become an instrument, one of his beloved strings.

I’ve got to admit, Lykke Li recent material, leading up to the release of her new album, hasn’t captured my imagination quite as much as her début album a couple of years ago. However, The Magician’s piano driven ElectroPop reMix of ‘I Follow Rivers’ is a thing of pure radness. It’s got that kicking bassline and the pianos of a early 90’s House track. I do like Lykke’s voice, this is the kinda’ track that could bring me back on board.

The man Justin Faust has busted his reMix skills over San Francisco based Disco Rockers Butterfly Bones ‘Crystal Caves’ and the end result is a truly astonishing slice of groove thick, sweeping, retro Disco awesomeness. With a bassline that is targeted directly at making your head nod and a soaring lead line that takes you to another planet, this track is pretty much essential.

Here is the brand new video for Disco renaissance man Chilly Gonzales‘ new single ‘You Can Dance’, taken from his awesome album ‘Ivory Tower’.
Directed by Jonathan Barré, the video is a perfect-butt & boob shaking compliment to what will surely be one of the biggest tracks of this end of 2011.

That right there is Christopher Cross he wailed on his guitar and sung about meaningful shit in America in the early 80’s. The kind of powerful nonsense found on every awesome 80s movie soundtrack. Now the Fiero posse have brought him kicking and screaming, on the back of a unicorn, into the 21st century (or at least a retro Disco version of it) with their latest reMix. Taking 1983’s ‘All Right’, already a spine-tingling slice of throwaway brilliance in it’s own right, and tuned it into a sweeping Nu-Disco journey from the dancefloor to the centre of your heart.

At the end of this month the bomb finally drops and London’s top ElectroPop DJ team JBAG’s début single sees the light of day.
Featuring vocals from ex-Ping Pong Bitches frontwoman Louise Prey, ‘X-Ray Sex’ is a full throttle piece of dancefloor ElectroPop and as a teaser of what’s in store on the single JBAG have given us their edit of the Gabriel Gabriel reMix, previously unheard, to hype you lot up.
It’s brilliant in it’s analog simplicity. an elegant and intricate reMix driven by pulsating synth bass and a baroque feel that is just the right side of Daft Punk partying with Soft Cell.

We are barely into 2011 and Kitsuné Music are already dishing out the presents. To celebrate a new decade they are giving away an EP full of some of their best releases from 2011.
The ‘Happy 2011 EP’ contains tracks from Digitalism, May86, Play Paul, Villa, Acidkids, Black Strobe and this monster from French ElectroPop mental case Yelle from her recent Kitsuné single ‘La Musique’. The tEPr reMix is just over 3m30s of deep analog Pop with a sparse atmosphere that gives way to some massive Disco chords.

Frankmusik has been giving away songs these past couple of weeks, over at freefrankmusic.com and his latest offering is an epic, namedropping, tribute to Daft Punk.
‘Our Discovery’ is a mash up of Daft Punk song titles and Riffs into one awesome DiscoPop tune that revels in the pure joy of being a Daft Punk fan and perfectly captures the excitement of the turn of the century. Here’s the video for Discodeine new single ‘Synchronize’, which features Pulps Jarvis Cocker on vocals.
It’s a groovy little tune that mixes both Disco and Indie sensibilities and the video is a wicked compliment to it, directed by JF Julian the clip takes you on a dark and seedy journey.
