Holy Ghost! and Michael McDonald!

Holy Ghost! forthcoming new single, ‘Some Children’ has got itself a cool minute long commercial courtesy of Ghoster Adam Fuchs, and Adult Swim.

Hopefully it will get expanded into a full video soon and the song well deserves it, a funky urban electronic groove featuring the voice of yacht legend Michael McDonald. The clip seems to be built around the sheep omnipotent power of McDonalds voice.

Bag Raiders reMixed by Eli Escobar

Bag Raiders new single, the third from their amazing self-titled début album, will be ‘Not Over’. Check the video here.

One of the more groovin’ tracks on the album get’s a deep club makeover from Eli Escobar. The House vibe runs throughout this reMix culminating with some big House piano for the finale. Couple that with some B-Boy beats and you have a killer tune.

♫ Bag Raiders – Not Over (Eli Escobar reMix)

Bag Raiders are currently touring the US with Ellie Goulding, which will be quite a show! ‘Not Over’ is out next month.

Lo-Fi-Fnk reMixes Foster The People

fosterthepoeple

Foster The People’s summer anthem ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ had been giving a quirky ElectroPop treatment by Sweden’s super duo Lo-Fi-Fnk.

Dropping some breaks and some looping piano gives the track a cool 90’s Rave vibe underneath the big clubby ElectroPop. For all the chaotic meeting of styles here the end product is pretty slick and laidback giving Foster The People a Scandinavian summer sheen.

Cosmonaut Grechko reMixed by Monophonic.

cosmonautgrechko11

Cosmonaut Grechko and Joywave’s amazingly nuanced ‘Singin’’, from Grechko’s recent ‘Alaska 2100’ EP, has been given a fresh reMix from Ukrainian producer Monophonic.

The track gets the big room treatment, seriously, this is huge sounding. The big House bass dominates the track which gets layered thick with hands-in-the-air synths and the introspective Indie vocals tuned into a sunrise anthem. It’s packing a couple of sweet builds too.

Goin’ Old School: Harold Faltermeyer – Axel F

1984 Harold Faltermeyer, the only ‘Axel F’. ‘Axel F’ is an amazing song but every single cover of this track has been shit. If you mention that fucking frog I will hunt you down and kill you.

M83 & Christian Strobe

m83

We haven’t been able to stop playing M83’s new tune, and taster of his forthcoming album, all week. Now, thanks to Christian Strobe, fresh from his new single release, we can listen to it in new exciting ways.

Just as 80’s as the original but turning the synths up to 11, for example replacing the sax solo with a soaring synth lead, this reMix strips out the Indie elements of the original and morphs it into pure ElectroPop. The lead really is the counterpoint of the track, when it kick in, epicness ensues.

♫ M83 – Midnight City (Christian Strobe reMix)

Christian Strobe’s ‘Midnight Call’ single is out now on 12” and drops on the 22nd July digitally.

‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’, M82’s forthcoming album, is released 18th October.

The Leadings new video

The Leadings are a Spanish House/ElectroPop act.

Here’s the suitably Spanish video for their track ‘Feel’ from their forthcoming new album. Sometimes people obviously having more fun than me makes me want to reach for a machine gun, the song is really nice though, you should listen.

The Leadings’ new album is out soon on Tsunami.
