Louis La Roché takes on Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters

Nu-Disco wunderkind Louis La Roché’s latest reMix is a surprising one. surprisingly awesome! He’s taken Foo Fighters’ ‘Everlong’ and make the Rock smooth!

At fist you wonder whether the growling vocals work in a slick Disco setting, but the end up really doing just that. All credit to Louis, his track is brilliantly crafted around the vocals, created to work with them. Which leaves Dave Grohl’s guttural hollering sliding atop the Electro Disco like and angry, but incredibly funky, track that’s always meant to be there.

New Mille track!

There’s a new Mille track in town! There’s been more output for the Swedish producer recently and that makes me excited for a forthcoming release, and album would be awesome.

‘Crysteena’ immediately cemented Mille as one of my favourite artists of all time, just that one track, so any new output is eagerly awaited round these parts. ‘Roadwraith’ is a dark horror movie of a track that never fails to be bouncy and uplifting in that Mille soaring synth way. A contradiction? Not really, in that moody way that worked so well for Kavinsky on ‘Nightcall’ , Mille works in an 80’s horror kitsch atmosphere into a storming dance track. Growling vocals and ominous chords working in harmony with head nodding bass and cosmic lead lines.

housse-de-racket

Oh Oliver, you crazy Olivers, can you do no wrong? These two’s latest reMix, of Housse De Racket’s latest single ‘Roman’, will easy to into your weekends partying.

Every second of this mix provides instant gratification, there is an immediacy to the feel good synths that counteracts with the laid back Disco backing. The Indie-Electro original is a good tune, but this reMix takes it to the next level…and on to the dancefloor…in hot pants.

Darren Hayes reMixed by Fred Falke & Penguin Prison

darrenhayes

Darren Hayes, luminary of electronic Pop music, has roped in some awesome talent to reMix his latest single ‘Talk Talk Talk’.

French Touch legend Fred Falke is up first and turns in a fantastic mix. Quite subdued but Falke has caught the mood of the song perfectly. Not going overboard this reMix is a subtle form of French Touch. Never in your face, more walking beside you, Falke’s reMix blends ElectroPop and Nu-Disco so smoothly you’ll feel like you’ve known the song forever. Penguin Prision get’s his more Indie-Disco styled hands on the track and brings his post-BedroomPop groove to the tune, giving it a live and stripped down synth feel and keeping it bouncy.

Mz Longstrump’s mortal kombat continues, enter: Silenx

galaxyl

The battle to see who will reign supreme in Fear Of Tigers‘The Adventures’ Of Pippi Longstrump’ reMix competition continues. Silenx bravely enters the arena early with his take on the tune.

Silenx is defiantly a contender with his laid back SynthWave version. The bright 80’s keys that dominate Silenx’s reMix keep it feel good and nostalgic, true to the emotion of the original. With Silenx unique night drive twist, of course. This competition is going to produce some fantastic results, and it;s gonna’ be very hard to win, Silenex, and digitalfoxglove two days ago, have set the bar so high. The biggest winner here will be us, as fans of electronic music.

Drawing heavily from both Nu-Disco and 80’s SynthPop Legan And Met create an analog sounding RoboPop reMix with the added uplifting qualities of shimmering ElectroPop. This reMix is infectious and loaded with enough synthesizer action to keep even the most hard-core synth head happy. If you’ve read this post before, don’t panic, you’re not stuck in a time loop. For some reason the original post disappeared. From the site, from Feedburner and from Window Live Writer (the writing tool I use). Just like that. the only evidence it ever existed was it got autoposted to Twitter and Facebook. Luckily Facebook has all the text so I can just recreate it. I’m keeping an eye on this tricky bastard though!
