Oliver reMixes Housse De Racket

housse-de-racket

Oh Oliver, you crazy Olivers, can you do no wrong? These two’s latest reMix, of Housse De Racket’s latest single ‘Roman’, will easy to into your weekends partying.

Every second of this mix provides instant gratification, there is an immediacy to the feel good synths that counteracts with the laid back Disco backing. The Indie-Electro original is a good tune, but this reMix takes it to the next level…and on to the dancefloor…in hot pants.

‘Roman’ is taken from their second album Alesia, out 22nd August on Kitsuné

The Magician reMixes Wolf Gang

wolfgang

The Magician goes into Tropical overload with his new reMix of Wolf Gang’s Stay And Defend’.

Wolf Gang’s new single get’s turned on it’s head and becomes all about the coconut shells and steel drums with a Disco flavour. The Magician manages to keep a good times groove going which completely alters the vibe of the song. Mark this one weird, but infectious.

CSS reMixed by Depressed Buttons

css

I am digging the hell out of this reMix.  CSS and Bobby Gillespie’s ‘Hit Me Like A Rock’ was an interesting comeback for the Brazilian quintet but this reMix from this Omaha trio Depressed Buttons blow the original out of the water.

The Mad Decent signed Depressed Buttons mash-up dancehall beats and crazy synth riffs. it’s noise, exciting and powerful, but that’s only to be expected from three guys who used to be in The Faint (a massive favourite ‘round these parts). Lovefoxxx’s vocals always sound amazing and intense over heavy synthesized music and this track is a prime example.

‘La Liberación‘, CSS’ new album, is out on on 22nd August.

Ladytron’s new single

ladytron

‘Mirage’ is Ladytron new single and the second lead in track to their forthcoming new album, ‘Gravity The Seducer’.

Following ‘White Elephant’, ‘Mirage’ is slightly more upbeat and traditionally ‘Ladytron’, which is no bad thing. ‘Mirage’ is the Ladytron we all fell in love with. Solid Indie-ElectroPop with a rawness and intensity only Ladytron can capture. The new album is purported to be more ethereal and melodic than previous Ladytron work. Well, if it’s littered with tracks like ‘Mirage’ than I’ll be a happy man.

The Black Ghosts’ ‘Diamonds’

theblackghosts

Indie-ElectroPopsters The Black Ghosts are back with a new album.

Released this week on Southern Fried Records the duo are celebrating the release of the record, ‘When Animals Stare’ by giving away the song ‘Diamonds’. It’s a dark, mysterious affair with a haunting melody reminiscent of carnival nightmares. True to The Black Ghosts style it is dense and gritty and hints at an album defiantly worth checking out.

Big History

bighistory

Graphic Designer & SynthPop producer Japayork has given us the heads up about a new project he’s managing, Big History, and the track he sent over is storming.

This New Orleans based six piece create live sounding ElectroPop with an emphasis on song. Vocalist Meg Roussel croons her way through a deeply personal and intimate song, all husky and intense while the other five (six peice? I don’t even want to imagine what the band arguments are like!) craft a melodic and muli-layered ElectroPop sound which is, well, as intricate as you’d expect with six people involved. ‘Wardrum’ is a seriously impressive début with the potential to excite both dancefloors and headphones alike, whether you like your ElectroPop with your hands in the air at 3am or lying on your bed with the curtains drawn, Big History fits the bill.

The Twelves’ ‘Kitsuné Tabloid’

‘Kitsuné Tabloid By The Twelves’ is, unsurprisingly the new Tabloid artist mixtape from Kitsuné Music, it’s  (also unsurprisingly) been put together by The Twelves.

We’ve heard it, it’s pretty special.

Here is a 40 second video teaser, which is the most pointless thing in the world, but it’s all you’ve got for now. Don’t let the pointlessness of the video put you off getting excited for the album.

The Twelves’ ‘Kitsuné Tabloid’ album drops 29th August. Stay tuned.
