iamamiwhoami’s ‘Good Worker’ video

The latest video from iamamiwhoami, ‘Good Worker’, carries on from where ‘Drops’ left off.

‘Good Worker’ is a piercing, cold, involving slice of ElectroPop. Who remembers when everyone thought iamamiwhoami was Christina Aguilera? Hilarious!

The ‘Good Worker’, ‘Drops’ and ‘Server’ singles are out now.

Goin’ Old School: Pet Shop Boys, Ultravox & Whodini

Goin’ Old School isn’t a trip down music memory lane, it’s a mugging in the dark alleyway of nostalgia:

One of Pet Shop Boys’ finest moments (and that’s saying something), 1986’s ‘Suburbia’.

1982’s biggest anthem in the form of Ultravox’s ‘Hymn’. Epic!

It’s 1982, Hip Hop is about to get as cool as it ever will with  Whodini’s ‘ Magic’s Wand’.

Philosophy Of Sound’s ‘Freedom, What For?’ video

Philosophy Of Sound’s forthcoming single ‘’Freedom, What For?’ in video form!

The video rests on a really simple, but really effective ‘guy spinning a bulb around’ motif that’s actually pretty genius.

‘Freedom, What For?’ is released 16th March on Discotexas.

Marina And The Diamonds’ new single

Marina And The Diamonds’ next single from her forthcoming ‘Electra heart’ album is ‘Primadonna’.

this time she’s rocking a big Electro sound, as far as attempts at a big Marina dance track it’s a million times better than the Stargate produced mis-step ‘Radioactive’, I still can’t shake the feeling that Marina is being forced in with bland dance producers by her record label. Which is a shame, given room to do her own thing, as with her first record, the results are amazing.

‘Primadonna’ is out soon.

Chromatics’ ‘Back From The Grave’

Here’s the latest track and video showcased from Chromatics forthcoming new album ‘Kill For Love’.

‘Back From The Grave’ was, again, directed by Alberto Rossini and despite the title and content, is a lot Poppier and catchier than it sounds.

‘Back From The Grave’ is taken from Chromatics’ forthcoming second Italians Do It Better album, ‘Kill For Love’.

SolarSolar’s ‘Monsters’ video

Here’s another new video from Binary cohorts SolarSolar.

‘This time it’s ‘Pilot’ album track ‘Monsters’ that gets the visual treatment. Directed and animated by Robert Waldeck there’s always something interesting to look at in this clip. And it;s relaxing, like the tune, too.

‘Pilot’ is out now,

Lovefoxxx & Steve Aoki

OK, so I’m really not a fan of Steve Aoki, I find his music mostly pretty tedious. Derivative and simplistic I have no idea how he got famous, it seems generally from ‘knowing people’ rather than ‘being good at music or DJing’. However, I flippin’ love Lovefoxx and thankfully Mr Aoki hasn’t made something completely terrible in ‘Heartbreaker’, their collaboration.

It’s a surprisingly good, pretty funky, Electro Disco tune that’s actually catchy as hell which I’m loving more each time I listen to it. It comes with an ace video too! You’ve earned yourself a temporary reprieve Mr. Aoki, but we’re watching you.

‘Heartbreaker’ is taken from Steve Aoki’s album, ‘Wonderland’, out now.
