Escort reMixed by RAC

We’ve got some Moroder Disco going on right now with this new reMix of Brooklyn Disco orchestra Escort’s Starlight by one or more of the Remix Artists Collective, RAC. Actually, we know who it was, it was Andre Anjos who put together this arpeggiated monster, but where’s the fun in knowing that?

So, we have the Italo-esque Moroder arpeggiated bassline forming the core of this track. And when you have such a huge Disco voice as Adeline Michèle’s to play with, the temptation not to go all Donna Summer must be overwhelming. On top of that a real vintage feel rides the groove with emotive stings and just the right amount of Cosmic flourishes. Retro future diva stuff right here.

Escort’s ‘Why Oh Why’ video

The deep Disco of Escort’s ‘Why Oh Why’ finally gets itself a video clip.

The single’s been out a while now and the clip portrays the live version of Escort, a seventeen peice Disco orchestra.

Escort’s self-titled début is out now digitally and 31st January on CD and Vinyl.

Escort’s Pound Sterling reMix

Massive Brooklyn based Disco orchestra Escort will release their début LP (currently out digitally) on CD and vinyl at the end of January.

To commemorate the occasion they have dropped a new reMix of ‘Why Oh Why’. The Pound Sterling mix is quite a complicated beast. Keeping the Disco groove of the original it also moves the track into more retro Electro territory with some amazingly catchy Italo elements mixing with bit of ‘80’s Pop and Adeline Michèle’s big diva vocals.
