Show Your Shoe reMixes Christa Vi

Christa Vi

Mr. Nico Müller is back in the place! Show Your Shoe has been a little quite of late but it looks like he’s been keeping himself busy (not least with a secret project for us, but I’m not going to tell you what that is right now! Hahaha) as this reMix for Christa Vi proves.

More and more ,Show Your Shoe is becoming the benchmark for Funky hooks and beach party percussion and this reMix shows off Nico’s mastery of those elements amazingly. Coupled with that is a big of a late ‘80’s UK electronic Soul/Pop groove that makes Christa, a London based Singer/Songwriter sound like the prefect ‘80’s Pop diva. If I was a Nu-Disco producer out there, the Show Your Shoe would be the act to beat.

Penguin Prison’s ‘Don’t Fuck With My Money’ video

Here’s the video for Penguin Prison awesome current single ‘Don’t Fuck With My Money’.

As you can tell it was filmed amongst Occupy Wall Street, not too sure whether this falls under show of solidarity or cheap cash-in, make me a little uncomfortable. Still, you can’t knock the song, the song is amazing.

‘Don’t Fuck With My Money’ is out now.

Monsieur Adi & Blue Satellite reMix Kylie

kylie

Official releases are a strange thing. So often I hear remixes from artists I love that were officially commissioned and then shelved in favour of generic PopHouseTrance from the likes of Freemasons or Stargate, despite being more interesting, more musically adept, and having more groove than the throwaway versions that end up on the single.

Such is the case here with reMixes of Kylie Minogue’s summer hit ‘Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)’ from a couple of amazing producers Monsieur Adi and Blue Satellite. I won’t bother talking about the competent, but ultimately generic dross that made the release, but they aren’t a patch on Adi’s impressive, multi-layered, edgy Electro track that throws a bit of everything into the mix, all kept in check by Adi’s mastery of his music. Or Blue Satellite’s track, which would have been a perfect summer Disco anthem, I can’t help feeling Kylie’s label missed a trick there (I’m not sure if BS’s was actually commissioned, but either way they still missed out).

Marsheaux reMix Mylène Farmer

mylene_farmer

The queens of Greek SynthPop Marsheaux have reMixed French artist Mylène Farmer’s ‘‘N’Aie Plus D’Amertume’, from her slightly ElectroPop influenced last album ‘Bleu Noir’.

The downtempo ballad is transformed into a kicking, upbeat, SynthPop beast complete with Marsheaux’s trademark icy digital synths cutting through the mix. Once again Marsheaux provide us with another clean, crisp synthetic slice of Electro quality.

The Blisters Boyz reMix Madonna

madonna

This reMix of Madonna’s ‘Music’ from France’s The Blisters Boyz is too good.

It’s fun, it’s funky, it plays off the original well and uses the vocals in a pretty innovative way and most importantly, this is gonna’ kill dancefloors. The Blisters Boyz have taken an instantly recognisable hit and turned it into an uplifting Nu-Disco juggernaut. The reMix is also sprinkled with samples from Madonna’s next single ‘Give Me All Your Love’ too.
