[Video] Marsheaux’s ‘Inhale’

MARSHEAUX Inhale official video clip YouTube

Here’s the video for Greek ElectroPoppers Marsheaux’s Indie tinged Inhale. Taken from the album of the same name, Inhale is a break from Marsheaux’s traditional SynthPop sound, displaying something more like mid-era Ladytron.

Johan Andjerson directed the clip, making good use of limited budget and retro video effects to produce something pretty slick. Looks like an early 90s shoegaze band’s video.

Marsheaux’s Inhale is out now.

CHVRCHES Lies YouTube

Chvrches appear to be releasing videos in reverse order to singles. So here we are, a couple of months after their stunning first album The Bones Of What You Believe was released, with the video for their début song, from summer last year, Lies.

The clip was directed by Sing J. Lee. Like the Recover video it’s pretty Sci-Fi, and seems to have been put together by someone who actually got the song, a rarity these days.

Chvrches début full length record, The Bones Of What You Believe, is out now.

Check out the stripped back SynthPop of CSS’s new single Into The Sun. Seems to be a pleasant return to something a bit electronic and a bit Poppy after all that Indie nonsense.

There’s all kinds of subterfuge going on in the video,. Seeds too”

Into The Sun is taken from CSS’ new album Planta, out now.

With video effects coming courtesy of Etcher/Engraver, the video let’s loose with a retro flavour and a projected, hypnotic, quality.

Here’s the video for Greek Chiller-cabinet ElectroPoppers Keep Shelly In Athens’s Oostende, as track we featured a couple of months ago as the precursor to their amazing At Home album.

Directed, shot and edited by Brendan Canty & Conal Thomson of Feel Good Lost, the clip may or may not have been filmed in Oostende, I’m just not familiar enough with Belgian port towns to make that call. Readers?

Keep Shelly In Athens’ début album, At Home, is out now on Cascine.

Here’s the video for Portland Minimal Synth outfit Soft MetalsOn A Cloud, taken from their amazing sophomore album Lenses.

The clip was directed by Erica Schreiner, who commented “The story in the video speaks about how living in a dream or on a cloud, doesn’t last for long and can be a deception. Very quickly too much sweetness can make you sick.”.
