It been almost a year since we wrote about Canadian Keytar queen LIGHTS, and what a busy year it has been for her. A couple of EPs and her full length CD, ‘The Listening’, were released on Sire and she is currently touring to globe with Owl City.
Late last year she released a series of motion comics titles ‘Audio Quest: A Capt. LIGHTS Adventure’ which even ended up being played on MTV.
A motion comic, for those who don’t know, is something both Marvel and DC are dabbling with right now. Not quite animation but more kinetic than a comic book panel, both comic giants have experimented with turning some of their bigger existing comic titles into moving images. Just watch the thing, you’ll see what I mean!
Anyway, LIGHTS, a comic and Sci-Fi fan, released four episodes of this little musical Sci-Fi adventure last year and in honour of the release of episode five, exclusively on MySpace we thought we’d show you the previous four chapters.
Today Southern Fried Records unleaded the video for a collaboration between Electro banger merchants Crookers and left field Indie-Electro act Miike Snow.
The track’s called ‘Remedy’ and is taken form the forthcoming album ‘Tons Of Friends’.
‘Remedy’ will be released as a single on 22nd February being backed by this downtempo, almost Electro-Trip-Hop, reMix by Dubstepper Numan.
M.I.A. just dropped some brand new material, in the form of this video titled ‘There’s Space For Ol Dat I See‘, via Twitter.
Not much is known, even whether that is the title, but more than likely it’s a track from her long awaited follow up to 2007’s Kala, which is being recorded right now, produced by Blaqstarr. I would say that this is a teaser in the form of raw session material, but it’s actually a really nice track. If the album come out anytime this summer then this laidback electro Hip-Hop could be the soundtrack to chilled summer afternoons!

Marina And The Diamonds forthcoming single (her first general release?) ‘Hollywood’ has had it’s video débuted, It’s as witty, anthemic and quirky as you’d come to expect from Marina. The clip is directed by Kinga Burza:
I’m quite looking forward to hearing Marina’s album, ‘The Family Jewels’ when it drops. ‘Hollywood is out 1st February 2010.
Wow! I forgot about Infusion! A few years ago I was really digging the Australian Dance-rock/House act’s album ‘Six Feet Above Yesterday’, especially the tracks ‘Better World’ and ‘Natural’, they had a real interesting take on edgy vocal House.
Well, they are back with a new single, ‘Tri It On’, taken for their new album ‘All Night Sun Light’ and sees Infusion back on top form. Here’s the video:
The single also come with a bunch of reMixes, including this one by D.Ramirez which mixes up the Indie-Electro sounding original into a big room Deep-House banger.
Fan Death are really pulling out all the stops in preparation for their forthcoming EP ‘A Coin In The Well’!
This is the second video taken from the EP, it’s a weird little story. Creepy, but fun.
We also received this reMix of the previous amazing track off the EP, Reunited’ by Ccenturiess in the electronic rumors inbox. It spaces things out a bit and piles on the Simmonds toms!
