Over on the ModBlog, those nice people at Modular Recordings have been in a generous mood and given away the reMix of ‘Changes’ by Aussie Indie-Electro stars Van She that they had G.L.O.V.E.S. (one half of Damn Arms) do.

Sébastien Tellier reMixed by A-Track

A-Track has dropped this reMix of French chilled SynthPop guru Sébastien Tellier’s ‘Kilometer’ over on the Tumblr site for his forthcoming ‘Infinity+1’ album.

A-track has defiantly got his groove on with this bassline heavy Disco rework.

Burns: Fire In The Disko

‘Huge’ is the best way to describe ‘Disko’, the début single from London producer Burns.

Not without reason did Annie Mac name him as ‘one to watch in 2009’, Burns music is obviously influenced by Ed Banger Records and French House but pulls it in a UK party direction. ‘Disko’ is a Disco killer!

Curses! Holy Ghost!

Institubes are taking over! And it looks like their method will be mind control!

Exhibit A: This track, ‘The Deep End’, the new one from Curses! (better known as Drop The Lime) as reMixed by Holy Ghost!.

It’s an eight minute Disco odyssey that worms it way into your brain. When you start listening to it you’re thinking “yeah, it’s got a good groove”…by the end, IT’S YOUR WHOLE LIFE!

The infections bassline hypnotizes you into submission and then, around 6:50 minutes in, it drops the synth shredding on you.

If you like Danger or Kavinsky you could do a lot worse than checking out ModernEyes, cool retro Electronica with that 80’s-straight-to-video-soundtrack vibe I love so much in Kavinsky’s stuff.

The two slices of Electro Disco here would work just as well on the Walkman as on the dancefloor.

Sometimes I hate MySpace, whilst it is possibly the best tool on the Internet for discovering new music you have to wade through so much shite, so much mediocre, uninspired bollocks it drives you mad.

And sometimes I love MySpace when it throws up gems like Preston Park.

With the kind of spacey, funky ElectroPop Preston makes I can’t believe he’s not signed.

The Presets; New video and single news!!!

Yesterday, The Presets premièred their new video for the upcoming single ‘If I Know You’:

The video is directed by Eva Husson (who directed the acclaimed short for M83’s Kim and Jessie)

‘If I Know You’ is possibly my favourite track off of last years, absolutely stunning, ‘Apocalypso’ so I’m chuffed it’s getting single treatment, even more so if you take into account the reMix line up, which includes Tom Middleton, Via Tania & Jori Hulkkonen, Chaim, Heartbreak and Vince Clarke!!!

‘If I Know You’ will be out in late march on Modular Recordings, more news as we have it.
