Rimer London’s ‘Love Dagger’

Rimer London (A.K.A Le Le’s Rimeroni Vumani) is back with more of his Synthesized Italo Disco, this time featuring the voice of Cata.Pirata.

‘Love Dagger’, Rimeroni’s forthcoming single, is probably the pinnacle so far of his deep analog take on Disco. With unmistakable Italo influences and a little bit if that funk underneath. UI gotta’ say, I really like the way Cata’s vocals are working with the space Disco sounds.

The video was directed by Sandder:

Slightly depressing video there. Still, the music has got me eager for Rimer’s long awaited full length record!

Nite Jewel’s ‘Am I Real?’, video + Classixx reMix

This is the new video for an old Nite Jewel track. ‘Am I Real?’ was released last summer on the Nu-Funk-tastic ‘Am I Real?’ EP last summer but has only just got itself a clip.

Directed by Jose Wolff and Delaney Bishop, the video is pretty out there…but then again, I suppose Nite jewel is too:

Also, check out Classixx’s brand new disco spaceout of the track:

Munk’s ‘The Bird And The Beat’

Last week saw Gomma release the third album by Disco genius Munk, ‘The Bird And The Beat’, and has been locked in here at electronic rumors towers for a while now.

Organic Disco with a twist would be a good way to describe the album. Muck lays down his beats, bass and riffs in true Disco king style but peppers the tracks with bit of Italo, bits of Hip-Hop, bits of Chicago House and bits of B-Boy Electro, creating a unique album that, whilst flowing from track to track, give you something fresh everytime the track number changes.

Munk – Violent Love

Playing every instrument on the record himself has allowed Muck to create a cohesive vibe from the chaos of influences throughout. Whilst moods on the album swing from party tracks to chilled tempo tunes the album retains a summery Disco theme that makes ‘The Bird And The Beat’, at it’s core, a feelgood album.

That doesn’t meant it’s a piece of throwaway dancefloor tat though. Munk has let himself get experimental and creative, never taking the easy route in his melting pot of styles. Every now and then there is a hint of his Berlin heritage with suggestions of EBM or Krautrock, an underlying darkness, but he still manages to make all his musical whims funky as hell.

Munk – Keep My Secret

Despite, occasionally, slipping into Teutonic power synth territory, this is the album you want to be playing while getting ready to go out, it’s set you up for the night ahead perfectly.

‘The Bird And The Beat’ is out now.

Classixx & Karl Dixon

Here’s the smooth new track from La Disco duo Classixx.

Released for free by Green Label Sound, ‘Into The Valley’ feature the soulful vocals of Karl Dixon (last seen on Holy Ghost!’s Monarchy reMix) and, alongside that trademark Classixx piano, features a sweet horn section. In fact, the horns are really late 80’s/early 90’s house horns which sit really nicely with the Disco drums and analog bass. the who track works just as well as easy listening music as it does as a dancefloor shaker.

The Human League & Aeroplane!!!

Here it is, the reMix we’ve been waiting for. Nu-Disco pioneers Aeroplane’s reMix of the forthcoming The Human League single, ‘Never Let Me Go’.

The original version is a Robo-Pop stomper that sees The Human League sounding more contemporary than their pervious single ‘Night People’, but this reMix takes it to another level. All Vito Aeroplane’s trademark filtered Disco grooves are in there alongside Phil, Joanne and Susan. Massive chords in the chorus work expertly alongside 80’s riffs in the verses. All-in-all, worth the wait. We’ll probably be hammering this most of the summer!

♫ The Human League – Never Let Me Go (Aeroplane reMix)

The ‘Never Let Me Go’ single is released 21st March alongside the new album ‘Credo’ also on 21st March.

Chilly Gonzales reMixes by Walter Sobcek

Chilly Gonzales’ ‘You Can Dance’ is an amazing tune in it’s own right, but let awesome French ElectroPop producers Walter Sobcek get their hands on it for an official reMix and you’re on to something really special!

WS take the vocal hook and run with it into their own amazing SynthPop land. whereas the original was a cool piano led Disco tune that could get any dancefloor moving, Walter Sobcek’s mix is so awesomely 80’s epic that it would have kids dancing in the streets, on top of cars, postmen and cops too! You know what I’m saying!

French Horn Rebellion’s ‘This Moment’, as reMixed by Jacuzzihidive

Post our remix of This Moment by our friends French Horn Rebellion! It’s fuckin’ hot!

That was basically the entire content of the email we received from Jacuzzihidive, an as much as we hate to admit it, they’re right. Their reMix is fuckin’ hot.

French Horn Rebellion’s ‘This Moment’ gets a full on analog Disco workout. Bouncing analog bass and strings give the track a new lease of life by this Las Vegas based ElectroPop trio, throw in some Moroder-esq synths and you’ve got a track that won’t quit.

It’s fuckin’ hot!

Teenage Bad Girl Vs. Kartell

We dropped the new Teenage Bad Girl single on you a couple of weeks ago, well it’s out now and to celebrate Citizen Records are giving away this exclusive reMix of the track by Kartell, not featured on the EP!

Less heavy and noisy as the the original, Kartell takes the groove and the smooth vocoded vocals from the track and invited them down the Disco. Thrown into the mix are the occasional electro tom and hand clap just to remind you of where you are. The original track was an awesome buzzsaw noisy ElectroPop tune, this reMix is a more sophisticated beat altogether.

The ‘Keep Up With You’ EP is out this week on Citizen Records.
