Louis La Roché reMixes Switch

Some massive retro sounding Disco-House right now courtesy of Louis La Roché’s reMix of Switch’s ‘I Still Love You’.

La Roché takes the track from the Major Lazer guy and turns it into a big room tune that mixes up Nu-Disco and early Chicago House. R&B singer Andrea Martin’s vocal lends itself really well to this anyway, and Louis takes this big diva vocal and runs with it resulting in a track that is as warm as it is full.

Jowie Schulner X Silenx

Silenx new EP is out soon on Boombar Music, and Boombar head honcho Jowie Schulner steps up for reMix duties.

Silenx and Schulner are two of the leading lights in the next wave of Synthwave/Dreamwave/Post-Nu-Disco-Synth (yeah, just made that up, you can keep it though) scene so the pairing is bound to produce something special. And it does, make sure your sitting down wearing epic protectors when listening to this track, ‘cos it’s epic as hell. Jowie rocks the soaring synth leads and fires them into outer space, they don’t overpower the rest of the track though, made up of rough digital bass and plinky-plonky melodies that are easy on the ear.

Queen Of Hearts’ ‘Shoot The Bullet’ video

Boom! It’s the video for Queen Of Hearts’ ‘shoot The Bullet’ which, having a video, we presume is the lead track from her ‘Arrival EP’.

The The Sound Of Arrows produced track less catchy dancefloor, more sweeping SynthPop epic and might just possible be my favourite Queen track so far. Gotta’ love a bit of majesty in your Pop, and ‘Shoot The Bullet’ is huge and powerful.

The Arrival EP’ was released yesterday, but it now. Really. Do it.

In a soundtrack made up of SynthWave tracks this would be the reflective part of the movie when our hero muses on the events of acts one and two and his losses before launching himself into the final act’s action set peice. Jupiter reMixes Caravan Palace

Check out this pretty spectacularly fun reMix that French ElectroPop duo Jupiter have done for Caravan Palace’s new single ‘Clash’.

The track is looptastic. Infused with more funk than Jupiter’s original efforts this rEMix has all the sweeping vintage synth work we’d expect from the Parisians with an added Nu-Disco flavour. Hypnotic repeating phrases suck you down into the groove while brushing your ears with snatches of the originals vocals.

Christianoshi reMixed by Trademark (Dreamtrak)

Here we have a fun slice of late ‘80’s/early ‘90’s inspired ElectroPop in the form of London Bedroom-Pop artist Christianoshi as reMixed by Trademark (including Oil Horton A.K.A. Dreamtrak).

And yes, Trademark is an anagram of Dreamtrak (or the other way round, I believe Trademark came first). Christianoshi has a lot of cool elements to his vocal performance, for example there’s a load of Marc Almond in there, and it all works perfectly with Trademark’s bouncy Pet Shop Boys-esque ElectroPop. ‘Turst’ is a catchy Pop juggernaut with just the right amount of Italo in the mix to make to dancefloor friendly and to justify the amazing amount of cowbell.

MEN Vs. Lesands

Le Tigre’s JD Samson’s MEN are currently on tour with CSS, which I can imagine is a just a pretty chaotic holiday with occasional shows involved.
