[Video] New Arcades’ ‘Stay Awake’

New Arcades Stay Awake YouTube

Right here is the brand new video for electronic rumors’ artists New Arcades’ track, Stay Awake. A moody, introspective epic that is taken from the duo’s début self-titled EP.

The whole night drive theme of the clip seems particularly fitting for the track, giving the song a whole new, but apt, meaning.

New Arcades self-titled EP is out now.

This is the new video for the forthcoming Gold Teeth single from Dan Le Sac Vs. Scroobius Pip. The product of a collaboration with Flux Pavilion is taken from the duos forthcoming third album Repent, Replenish, Repeat and was débuted at Bestial earlier this month (we know this fact because we were there)

Directed by Scroobius Pip and in his own words “This is what the classic “Rapper in a strip club” video would look like if half the industry didn’t lie about how rich they were”, which is so true and pretty hilarious.

Parisian quirky ElectroPop outfit Château Marmont’s new single is Invisible Eye, an enigmatic, involving, SynthPop tune that’s not exactly dark, but somewhat eerie in a beautiful way.

Here’s the video, equally eerie, in a beautiful way, I’m sure you’d agree.

This is the brand new video for New York Indie-ElectroPopper St. Lucia’s ace new single Elevate. An insanely catchy slice of feel good ElectroPop.

The clip, directed by Norton, depicts Jean-Philip Grobler and his band throwing parties, jamming, hanging out on the street, nodding at their band friends, in a this-is-what-the-rest-of-the-world-thinks-life-in-Brooklyn-is-really-like way

Elevate is out now, St. Lucia’s début album When The Night is out 8th October via Neon Gold.

[Movie] Controller

We don’t often write about films, but when we do it’s usually for a good reason. Aside for the fact that we’re big fans of Sci-Fi shorts, short movie Controller grabbed out attention for two very good reasons. This film has pedigree.

First up, it was written and directed by Saman Kesh. Not only an award winning director in the real world, but the winner of an electronic rumors award too! Alongside his mind-blowingly good video for Cinnamon Chasers’ Luv Deluxe being winner of the SXSW Best Music Video Award 2010, his trilogy of amazing videos for Russ Chime’s Midnight Club EP were our picks for Best Video of 2010. We love this guy’s eye. We wouldn’t dare to pretend to be film critic’s but we get pretty enthralled by the way he combines romance and tension in every shot.

Secondly, and just as importantly, the soundtrack is by none other than Cinnamon Chasers himself (under his real name, Russ Davies), a pulsating synthetic affair that bubbles and builds alongside the action and really works the rising emotions of the story, picking out the quiet moments and kinetic action individually.

As we mentioned, we’re big fans of Sci-Fi shorts, Controller would have been an awesome piece regardless of who was involved in making it, but we can’t help but feel these guy’s talents pushed it over the edge into a real thing of beauty. We’re not movie reviewers (hell, we’re barely music reviewers), so just watch and enjoy.

Check out Controller’s prequel here. Controller’s soundtrack is out now.

The long awaited first (and only?) actual video from Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories has premièred. Accompanying the duo’s latest single Lose Yourself To Dance, featruing Nile Rodgers and Pharell, is probably the only visuals for the album we’ll get.

It’s a pretty standard performance clip, albeit an incredible shiny one, with Nile and Daft Punk playing the Perspex instruments we’ve been teased for so long.

Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories is out now.

Here is the video for the reMix of the track Hold On by London ElectroPoppers Avec Sans, by Avec Sans themselves. We’ve already written about the track, the video and the reMix, there’s not much left to do but sit back and enjoy.

It’s a re-cut of the original version’s video, which makes sense in a way. Sing J Lee still at the visual helm.

Avec Sans’ Hold On is our now featuring reMixes from Avec Sans and VS//YOUTHCLUB.
