Buffetlibre & Amnesty International’s ‘PEACE’ project

Peace

Spain’s Buffetlibre DJs are busy guys, when not DJing, reMixing, producing and spearheading some of the more interesting multi-artist projects around are throwing their weight behind Amnesty International to highlight human rights abuses around the world.

To highlight the worldwide injustices that AA work so hard to stop Buffetlibre’s unique concept for their charity compilation album is to create a ‘musical atlas’ featuring many and varied artists from around the globe. Such as the first ‘single’ from the album. ‘Mike’ by  Ivri Lider, one of Israel’s most successful singer/songwriters, with this sweet vocoder call & response downtime jam.

Monsieur Adi reMixes Ellie Goulding

EllieGoulding05

As the flood of reMix of Ellie Goulding’s excellent ‘Starry Eyed’ continues, one we have been particularly looking forward to is this one from Monsieur Adi.

Rome’s Adi has produced some fine reMixes of late and this complete recreation of Ellie’s track is the best I’ve heard from him. He rebuilds the track from the ground up into a totally different song, a huge orchestral, emotive, electro journey!

Monarchy

Monarchy

Mystery men Monarchy have been busy with some high profile reMixes of late and we are glad to report that their track ‘Gold In The Fire’, which has been hyped for a while now, is finally getting an official release thanks to Neon Gold.

We Have Band, Flak Attack and Hidden Cat chip in with the reMix work that spans WHB’s almost tribal chilled Electro, Flak Attack’s pure dance jam and Hidden Cat’s psychedelic space Disco trip.

Shy Child; The Anoraak reMix!

ShyChild04

We’ve waited with baited breath for the most exiting (to us at least) reMix from the forthcoming Shy Child singleDisconnected’. Now the wait is over.

Anoraak’s take on the tune is every bit as good as we had hoped. The meeting of Shy Child and Anoraak is just a clash of two of our favourite artists. The reMix is mostly a smooth Dreamwave epic give a slight edge by arpeggiated digital synth bass that slowly builds to a rockin’ crescendo.

Shy Child – Disconnected (Anoraak reMix) (zShare) (MediaFire)

‘Disconnected’ is out soon followed by the album ‘Liquid Love’ on 15th March on Wall Of Sound

Priors reMixed

Priors

The track ‘What You Need’ (or at least the demo version of it) by Raw Man’s project, Priors, has been knocking ‘round the internet for a few months now. Finally it is getting a full reMix package release courtesy of Eye Industries and the smooth Nu-Disco ElectroPop jam some pretty sweet reworkings.

Grum just goes from strength to strength. His reMix here is more chilled than his usual production but it shows a laidback side to his work and is a solid slick of 80’s-esq electronic Funk. Hey Champ!’s take on the tune is more of a cut-up roller-Disco monster. Finally Allen Walker gives us the most straight-up dancefloor version

Felix Cartal – Popular Music

FelixCartel

Vancouver Electro sensation Felix Cartal get his début album ‘Popular Music’ released on Dim Mak this month, the title track making the first single. having reMixed for the likes of MSTRKRFT, Acid Kids and Britney Spears his first artist album is eagerly awaited.

I’m loving the vocals on this tune with strangely work with the heavy beats and distorted synths. It’s a total banger that won’t fail to fill the floor.

Barretso reMixes

Barretso03

As Tuff Em Up gear up for the March release of Barretso’s ‘Bright City Lights’ EP more reMixes of the EP track ‘We Won’t Stop’ have arrived to tide you over.

Aussie’s DEFEAT & Redial (who made it into electronic rumors top 20 tracks of 2009!) clearly show who the next big things to come from down under are going to be, both bring their Electro Disco A-game. Redial, again, particularly impressing us. Farfletched makes up the trio with a deep, choppy, synth string laden funker.

Cassette Kids

CassetteKids

Australian Indie-Electro darlings Cassette Kids are poised to take us here in the UK over as they make their début on our fair shores with three London gigs in February and the release of a new single ‘Lying Around’.

Taken from the forthcoming album ‘Nothing On TV’ (which has been produced by Van She’s Michael DiFrancesco!) the single also features reMixes from Diamond Cut & Sharam Jey, who both turn the poppy Indie track into club stormers. Diamond Cut, who we’ve featured a couple of times before, and never fail to impress, turn in our favourite mix with their sweeping Nu-Disco epic.

Goldfrapp’s Rocket reMixes

Goldfrapp

Goldfrapp’s forthcoming comeback single (yes, I’m calling it a ‘comeback single’, what?) ‘Rocket’ has been given a couple of sweet reMix treatments.

Prolific Leeds reMixer Grum’s French House version is just the perfect style of mix for this track, all disco beats and retro synths, it’s like Goldfrapp turned up to 11! The next take is provided by, none other than, Richard X, who’s stripped down, minimal, analog synth jam is just as club friendly:
