I could have written ‘exclusive’ or ‘world première’ up in the title, but I really can’t be bothered ‘cos I hate that blog politics bullshit. Let’s all just post good music, huh? This is a world première, but let’s hope it gets picked up by loads of other blogs and this awesome slice of SynthWave/Nu-Disco spreads across the music-blogosphere like cancer.
Something about digitalfoxglove always troubles me, he deserves far more recognition than he gets. Some of this is because it takes him a million years to finish anything, but mostly I haven’t got a clue why he isn’t up there with the big names of the Nu-Disco scene, because he is easily as good, if not better, as any of them when it comes to arrangement and production. Just take ‘Alone Together, Alone Forever’, the main riff highlights DFG’s skills, it’s so catchy it’ll be stuck in your head for a good few hours after listening, it’s also just the right side of euphoric that’ll it’ll just have everyone of the dancefloor grinning their faces off. And it’s the dancefloor where this track should live, driven along by a hard beat and growling bass for your feet and sparkling synths for your head, ‘Alone Together, Alone Forever’ need to be in the big room, now!

PNAU and Ladyhawke’s ‘Embrace’ was a true anthem for 2008, there were hands in the air at every Electro club you visited, and just as it might have started to sound dated along comes German superproducer digitalfoxglove to bring it kicking and screaming in to 2011.
DFG just seems to have this amazing way with percussion and lead lines that seems to make his tracks soar. Listening to his Nu-Disco magic coupled with Pip’s vocals makes me think how much I’d love to hear him working with vocals more. digitalfoxglove has taken a euphoric ElectroPop anthem and turned it into a sexy dancefloor groover.

Here we have the first truly storming entry in Fear Of Tigers’ ‘The Adventures’ Of Pippi Longstrump’ reMix competition.
Coming straight from none other than digitalfoxglove. One fourth of Ride The Universe and a production wizard in his own right, DFG works his Disco magic on Mz. Longstrump, keeping everything we all love about the original and giving it that SynthFunk twist and a summer nights vibe. digitalfoxglove has really set the bar high with this one. Adding to Pippi’s instantly recognisable vocal refrain some bouncy Disco bass and one of the sweetest leads you’ll have heard in a while.
This is a track for hot weather, pool parties and dancing ‘til dawn.

Do you need some funky-ass shit to liven up your day? Then look no further than digitalfoxglove’s Disco bomb reMix of Louis La Roché’s new single ‘My Turn’.
DFG takes the vocal stylings of Yann Destal and smacks them down on top of a digital groove that’ll keep you nodding all day then layers on soaring synths. Keeping it building until the end digitalfoxglove keeps the wicked axe solo from the original but turns it into a mindblowing finale!

OK, so what do you get when you cross the organic, chilled Indie-SynthPop of RüFüS (who we introduced you to a couple of days ago) and the slick sounds of Dreamwave/Nu-Disco supergroup (Yes, I said “supergroup”! Live with it) Ride The Universe?
A rad slice of brain-meltingly smooth Disco, that’s what!
Ride The Universe is, of course, a collaboration between talented German producer digitalfoxglove and LA party starters Fiero, and what they have dropped here is the kind of tune that makes babies. Seriously, the DJ drops this tune, you grab a hot girl (or guy), and you aren’t going home alone! The bassline alone, with a killer well placed slide is enough to get you moving…
♫ RüFüS – We Left (Ride The Universe reMix)
Cannot wait for more of RTU’s cosmic goodness.
RüFüS’s self-titled début EP is out now on their own label, Monekeleon, and later in the year we’ll see On The Fruit Records release ‘We Left’ with reMixes from SymbolOne, Go Go Bizkitt!, Broke One, Beaumont, Springflower, Monsieur Adi as well as Ride the Universe!

Just a quick post today, we’re still working hard on our end of year lists (which is so tough!) but I had to hype this video On The Fruit have just dropped for digitalfoxglove’s awesome single ‘Beasts And Flowers’ featuring Freak You.
So, what can make an epic slice of sweeping Nu-Disco even better? A load of C64s, Amstrads, Acorns and Ataris that’s what!
It’s the future, baby!
Keep your ears on digitalfoxglove in 2011, not just for majestic cuts like ‘Beasts And Flowers’ but also jamming with the Fiero crew as Ride The Universe.

Been kickin’ back and waiting for this one for a while, turns out it was worth the wait!
Nicky Savage‘s band of LA based Dreamwavers Fiero, have teamed up with Nu-Disco producer digitalfoxglove to form the almighty, trans-Atlantic, Ride The Universe and their first offering for you is a reMix of German DiscoPop band Panda People’s ‘Sophisticated Girl’. I’ve been diggin’ Panda People ever since Nicky turned me onto them a while back but this reMix just ups the ante with some seriously huge analog bass and the sweetest pads this side of the 80’s. These guys are adding a little Funk into the Dreamwave sound and with reMixes of Fenech-Soler and the crazy exiting Futurecop! & Keenhouse collaboration in the works, this is defiantly a gang to keep an eye on.
