[Audio] Keljet reMixes That’s Nice’s ‘Holiday’

thats-nice

Dutch floorfillers Keljet have turned in yet another new reMix. This duo seem to be workaholics, every month there’s some brand new, euphoric, tunes from these guys. This time they are taking on the latest single from Aussie Indie dude That’s Nice. The single features Miami Horror’s Josh Moriarty on vocal duties and is called Holiday. Check out Keljet injecting the beats.

Keljet keep things fun and tropical with this mix. Dragging the tune to the dancefloor Keljet drop solid Disco beats liberally peppered with smile inducing Island leads over pulsating synth bass. This is a pure no trouble track. Carefree and breezy, Keljet bring nothing but good times on their reMix. How could anyone not be in a good mood after rocking to this?

[Download] MiGHty mOUse’s ‘Wunder’

mighty-mouse

True to his word, Disco don MiGHty mOUse has released another of his personal crate weapons to you lucky people. The man is at the top of his game, the game of being a Disco DJ, so when he creates a tune specifically designed to rock his dancefloors you know it;s going to do the job right. No fluff, no padding, this one is a dancefloor aimed musical cruse missile. The kind of monster tune you’ll find him dropping on any of his forthcoming gigs.

Wunder is one of those track, when you’re on the dancefloor, that you just sink into. You let it take control and you just loose yourself in. That chord progression, played on rumbling bass synth, is like a wave of vibes that carries you away. The tune is seasoned with an hypnotic, almost Dubby, piano hook and an array of Sci-Fi sounds flowing over jaunty purcussion. MiGHty mOUse isn’t mucking around here; pure dancefloor exuberance.

[Audio] Allies For Everyone’s ‘Bunker’

Allies For Everyone

New York based producer Brian Suarez, better know as Allies For Everyone is releasing his brand new EP this week. Titled Bunker, the release is a departure from his Housier works into something a little more emotive and mature. Check out the EP’s lead track below and keep an eye out for the release coming up on KID Recordings.

Making an immediate, sweeping, generalisation; Bunker sounds like Maya Jane Coles meets Dirty Vegas. Generalisation that may be, but it’s also a massive compliment. The track rides on an undulating and mysterious Deep House groove while Suarez croons and brushed an acoustic guitar over the top for a little Balearic flavour. Nice, emotional and irresistible groovy stuff.

[Audio] Avan Lava’s ‘Leave It All Behind’

Avan Lava

Brooklyn trio Avan Lava have a new single out this week. Leave It All Behind sees the outfit drive their sound further toward the dancefloor with Funky and Deep House influences on the ElectroPop vibe. The track is taken from their forthcoming Make It Real EP, due out next month on JD Samson’s label Atlas Chair, and should see these three getting some well deserved attention as the cross both the dancefloor and the mainstream.

Leave It All Behind, seemingly effortlessly, straddles the worlds of Deep/Tech House and ElectroPop. underpinning the whole affair is a rumbling, robotic groove loaded with shuffling hats and warping subs coupled with an echoing lead line. This is all pretty enchanting, but is made even better with TC Milan’s rousing and emotional vocal. An all round instant floorfiller with an epic build.

[Audio] Psychemagik reMixes Public Service Broadcasting’s ‘Gagarin’

Public Service Broadcasting

We got to catch London based Krautrock/Synth/Coldwave/something outfit Public Service Broadcasting live at Bestival last year and they fast became one of the weekends highlights. While on record they aren’t quite out thing, live they are utterly fantastic. The duo have a new album, The Race For Space out soon and the records lead single, Gagarin, as been given a storming reMix by Disco don come Housemeister Psychemagik.

the original track is an almost Jazzy live performance, loaded with guitars and brass, but Psychemagik takes all those elements and gives them a machine makeover. The bassline, a loose if hypnotic affair on the original, becomes a hard hitting and compelling robots march on this mix aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Retaining PSB’s newsreel feel and the tune’s soul, Psychemagik flips it into an electronic, almost EBM at times, floorfiller.

[Download] Classixx reMix Janet Jackson’s ‘The Pleasure Principle’

janet-jackson

The kings of Californian poolside jams, Classixx, have just dropped a brand new reMix, and this one’s a killer. Taking on Janet Jackson’s 1986 single The Pleasure Principle. The track falls somewhere between reMix and Edit as the duo take Shep Pettibone’s mix of The Pleasure Principle (A Cappella) and have their smooth way with it. Sit back in the sun and absorb the results.

Taking all the best bits of the original and sprinkling them with their own brand of chilled Disco, Classixx drop a lazy summertime jam . Bringing the already groove laden tune to a place of contemporary Synth Funk. Whist the track is strewn with retro references, particularly in the buoyant bassline and twisting synth leads, the track sounds bang-up-to-date. Jam, Lewis, Johnson and Moir would be proud. Vibe to this!

[Download] Chromatics’ ‘Just Like You’

Chromatics

Johnny Jewel’s amazing Chromatics have announced the release of their forthcoming new album. Titled Dear Tommy, the follow up to 2012’s dreamy Kill For Love, is due out in a month and is eagerly anticipated by just about everyone we know. Johnny has taken to SoundCloud to announce the release and give away the albums first single, Just Like You as a free download. Check it out.

Just Like You is just the first in a string of new singles. Jewel will be releasing one a week until the albums March release and he has certainly chosen a belter to kick things off with. A swirling electronic symphony blessed with sweet vocals and lush (like, really lush) synths over a smooth steady beat. It’s an intoxicating SynthPop dream with a dark undertone. We’re very much looking forward to the album.
