[Audio] Avan Lava’s ‘Wanna’ Live’

avan-lava_thumb

Brooklyn rising stars Avan Lava continue to showcase tracks from their forthcoming new EP, Make It Real. Last Month we were treated to Leave It All Behind and this week we can take a listed to another new track; Wanna’ Live. The EP is set for release at the end of this month via JD Samson’s Atlas Chair imprint. Like the EP’s début tune, this one continues their journey into huge House-Pop tracks.

Wanna’ Live really takes the concept of a big chorus and runs with it. The verses in this tune are, by comparison, quiet moments. Deep House-ish grooves roll under heartfelt vocals until that snare roll kicks in and then the chorus brings in the Trance leads and massive pads.Walking dangerously close to the line of trite throwaway dance music, Avan Lava keep from falling into that precipice with some classic and emotional songwriting and a passionate vocal performance. The end result really works in their favour.

Avan Lava

Brooklyn trio Avan Lava have a new single out this week. Leave It All Behind sees the outfit drive their sound further toward the dancefloor with Funky and Deep House influences on the ElectroPop vibe. The track is taken from their forthcoming Make It Real EP, due out next month on JD Samson’s label Atlas Chair, and should see these three getting some well deserved attention as the cross both the dancefloor and the mainstream.

Leave It All Behind, seemingly effortlessly, straddles the worlds of Deep/Tech House and ElectroPop. underpinning the whole affair is a rumbling, robotic groove loaded with shuffling hats and warping subs coupled with an echoing lead line. This is all pretty enchanting, but is made even better with TC Milan’s rousing and emotional vocal. An all round instant floorfiller with an epic build.

[Audio] Queen Of Hearts’ ‘Like A Drug’ reMixed by Avan Lava

queen-of-hearts

We’re still very much crushing on Queen Of Hearts’ recently, and surprisingly, release album Cocoon, it’s a solid and highly enjoyable début that perfectly encapsulates QoH’s musical journey so far. Released on the same day was the video for album track Like A Drug which, although not exactly a single, is being treated a such. First with the clip, now with this summertime Pop reMix from Brooklyn gang Avan Lava.

This reMix is so bright and shiny, if it was a physical object you wouldn’t be able to look at it. Clean crisp synths, from the bassline to the twisting leads, fall on the shimmering end of the spectrum as they weave in our out of the syncopated groove. This all works perfectly with QoH’s euphoric vocal delivery. Like audio sunshine, Avan Lava’s reMix of Like A Drug will brighten up your day. If you’re looking to continue the starlight Pop experience then you should definitely check out Queen Of Hearts’ Cocoon right now.

[Audio] Keljet & AVAN LAVA’s ‘Together’

keljet

The new single from Dutch duo Keljet, still riding high on the waves of their Love Of A Life single, sees the Disco dons teaming up with Brooklyn band AVAN LAVA for some seriously epic big room vibes. Released at the end of the month on Can You Feel It? Records, Together looks set to become a club anthem alongside reMixes from Oliver Nelson and René Amesz.

This one is all about the prefect harmony of Keljet’s big, thumping, beats and AVAN LAVA’s rousing vocals. Definitely bringing a hands-in-the-air quality to the track, the vocals are pure sing-a-long, fist pumping, fodder while Keljet’s slightly Cosmic main room Disco sound is as huge as ever. A quality combination of both acts going large and doing what they do best.
